Directions

1: Mix• Put on the expert colourist gloves provided.• Place plastic mixing tray on flat, stable surface where it won't tip over.• Unscrew the cap from the colour activating lotion (2) bottle.• Empty contents of colour activating lotion (2) bottle into mixing tray.• Unscrew the cap of Permanent Colour Crème (1) tube (previously opened for allergy test - see reverse side of instructions)• Empty contents of permanent Colour Crème (1) tube into mixing tray.• Using the applicator brush, thoroughly mix contents of tray until the colour is completely blended.2: Apply• Gently brush or comb your hair into your preferred style.• Using the applicator brush, apply colour to your most visible roots at the hairline around the face, part and temples.• Make sure you saturate your most visible roots with colour. Don't worry if the colour of the mixture on your hair looks different from your desired colour - when its dry, your colour will be beautiful.• If any colour gets on your skin, wipe it off immediately with a damp towel. Countdown to No Roots• Once you're done applying the colour, leave it on for 10 minutes or the time indicated by your strand test.• Pour any unused colour mixture down the drain. Once mixed, it will lose its effectiveness after an hour.• Tip: if your greys are really stubborn, it may be necessary to leave colour on for up to 15 minutes. 3: Rinse & Go• Rinse hair with warm water until the water runs clear and style as usual. You've got natural - looking colour that will last up to 3 weeks!

I managed to cover my greys and it lasted a while as well. The instructions were easy to follow and the colour stayed on without fading easily. The bit that is always hard to keep the greays away from is them short hair along the temples. I would definitely be buying this product later for the times between colours. The smell was subtle, the brush makes it easy to apply, focusing mainly on the front where greys are visible. It did a pretty good job covering my greys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and efficient [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Clairol Root Touch Up as part of the trial team. I was happy to receive the product but surprised by how small the cream and lotion were. However, the result did not disappoint at all. This product is used to touch up the roots, not to be used on the whole head of hair, so the size of the cream and lotion is perfect for me. The mixing took no time and applying only took me 2 minutes, the brush that came in the box made applying to hair roots very easy, so fast and efficient and no mess. I don't need to color the whole head of hair, this touch-up product is brilliant, and suits my need exactly. Only need to wait for 10 minutes for the color to penetrate the roots, the result was very natural and blended in with the rest of my hair color nicely. I certainly will recommend this product to anyone who just needs a touch-up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Secret Weapon [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I greatly enjoyed trialling out the Clairol Root Touch-Up Permanent Crème because it helped to hide my grey hairs of wisdom and made my colour look natural, which is important to me. The process is simple and quick and hair colour perfection can be achieved in less than 20 minutes, which is great if you are time poor and in a hurry to complete this task. The instructions helped lead me along the journey successfully with easy step by step instructions to follow. The colour is easy to mix and then apply with a brush that is included in the box, that is most helpful. I applied the colour to my part line and across my root areas and blended it evenly into my hair. The coverage was good and I had enough colour to get the job done perfectly. I waited for the colour to develop and there was a bit of a scent but nothing but the usual hair colour smell. Once I rinsed my hair and blow-dried it to get the colour looking its best, I was very happy with the colour and the coverage. The grey hairs were gone and my hair looked naturally beautiful again, which is wonderful. I was impressed that I actually did this myself with ease and my hair was in good condition and had a nice shine to it which made me feel even better. I am confident using this product, as it’s safe to use and I strongly recommend it to touch up your hair colour in the comfort of your own home all by yourself. This will give your hair a new lease of life and is great to use for the in between full colour treatments and help my colour last longer, with some help from my secret weapon - Clairol Root Touch Up.

Everything comes in the box including brush and mixing bowl. All that needs to be done is follow the instructions and mix them up. I like that the smell of this product is not unpleasant like other hair dye. The brush provided is hard but it is able to pick up the right amount of product and it also makes the application easier. I mainly used this as a touch up since I last dyed my hair about two months ago. The colour comes out easily and I only left it on for about 10 minutes. I do not have much grey hair but of the few that I have, the coverage is good. I have no complaints. After close to 3 weeks, my hair still looks good. I definitely recommend this product. Good to be used in between trips to the hair dresser. Quick and easy!

The root touch up permanent creme I found easy to apply very detailed all the instructions colour chosen medium blonde was a perfect match. I was quite surprised how small the tube was thinking it would not cover the greys there was sufficient in the application to do the job. Because I have short hair it was ideal Loved the smell of the creme Only thing I did different to the instructions I left it on for an extra 10 minutes On the instruction page it says 10 minutes and extra 5 minutes for blonde shades but after that time I left it for an additional 5 minutes to make sure it covered the greys Very happy with the product excellent

The instructions were really easy and I could mix the formulas together and mix them up in the plastic tray provided in the package. Once mixed into the creme as stated I used the brush to cover my roots. Looking at the tray I did think there would not be enough product to do my roots and temple hairs but there was. It covered really well, I did leave it on for 20 minutes just to make sure but that was my choice. I will be purchasing this product again and it great to use for in between full colour treatments. I am delighted I was able to trial this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so impressed by the results I received with this Clairol Root Touch-Up Permanent Crème! From first impressions, the box has everything required to make the job really easy, from the brush to apply the creme to the instructions regarding how it's all done. The creme doesn't have an overpowering smell like some hair colours do, and it was also a great consistency, making it very easy to apply directly to my roots. I have grey hair, so I'm often colouring my whole head of hair; I have never coloured my roots specifically. I tend to colour my hair every six weeks with permanent colour, so I was very keen to see what the results would be with this hair colour, whether it would last, and whether it would successfully blend in with my current colour. I was super impressed by the way that the auburn shade I tried was able to successfully blend in with my light brown hair colour. It perfectly coloured my grey roots and matched with my hair colour; it didn't look obvious that my roots had been coloured with a slightly different shade. I would purchase this hair colour again in future and would definitely recommend it to anyone who regularly colours their greys and would like to cover their roots in between colours. The colour lasted the full three weeks as stated on the box, just in time for my next full head colour. An excellent option, highly recommended!

It's very convenient I did the entire procedure during my lunch break as I'm working from home. It effectively covered my grey hair and blended perfectly to my black hair. It couldn’t have come at better time as I needed to freshen up my roots for an evening out. Very glad to see on the pack that the dark brown colour shade matched one of the brands that I normally use to dye my hair. The Clairol Root Touch-Up is a one application process and included in the pack is a tube of permanent colour crème, colour activation lotion, applicator brush, bowl and gloves. It was great to see a bowl included too as it made the preparation so much easier. The instructions where very clear and easy to follow as I applied the product using the control brush. It was so nifty to use and help part my hair to get to my roots. I left the colour on for the recommended ten minutes and I could see the activation of colour working its magic. I then rinsed it out which was quiet easily done and I used my own shampoo and conditioner as normal to wash my hair. Overall, once my hair was dried and styled, I found that the majority of my grey roots were easily covered and the colour matched effectively; a positive outcome for me. After three weeks of applying, I can see some of my grey roots resurfacing so I will probably need to touch up soon. I feel this is a great hair product to keep as a staple in the bathroom cabinet to freshen up your hair during hair colour treatment times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy, effortless root touch up [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This really couldn’t have been any easier to do!! I alternate between colouring my hair at the hair salon and at home I started getting white hair quite young and as of more recent times the white hair and it’s regrowth against naturally dark brown hair is very obvious so I have increased the frequency of colouring at home and less at the salon purely to keep up with it. I have used the root touch up sprays for spare of the moment covers but not a root touch up hair colour. I loved that the instructions were so simple and quite minimal I can often get overwhelmed when there’s too much info going on. After test patching 48 hours prior I simply mix the little tube of hair colour with the activator in the provided bowl it was a great oval shape I had plenty of room then I mixed it with the hair applicator brush. I then put on the provided gloves and I applied it right down the middle on the top of my head as that’s where I am most white and then I applied it along the front of my hairline all the way to the sides of my ears. This took all of about 5 minutes to do in total from reading the instructions, mixing the colour and applying it to my roots. It is recommended to leave on for 10 minutes but if you’re quite quiet one for the five so I left it on for the for 15 minutes. The hair colour felt really comfortable on my scalp and I did not experience any irritation. After 15 minutes I rinished the colour from my hair and applied conditioner. I love the look of the root colour it covered my white hair perfectly and blended in very well with my hair colour. It looks so refreshed, shiny, healthy and best of all not white. Update after 3 weeks - After having this on my roots for 3 weeks it has lasted really well and has got me through to my next colour with more with far less obvious regrowth it has lasted these 3 weeks really well and I will be adding this as part of my routine in between colours. I am so happy to have discovered this product and would highly recommend to others.

The product was super easy to apply and I didn't have to fumigate my house afterwards hahahaaaa. Really lovely results too. I checked the recommended retail price at Chemist Warehouse and it's definitely very affordable to buy on the regular. I am very happy with this product and its on my permanent to buy list. I've tried other well known and branded products that left my hair feeling like straw but I am very impressed on how soft and smooth my hair felt afterwards. Don't hesitate if you see this

I dye my hair as well as do touch ups in between to keep cover up the grey hairs and keep my hair looking youthful and fresh. The Clairol root touch-up was easy to use and apply. I followed the instructions and mixed the colour cream as well as the activator together, mixed and then applied it onto my hair with the brush that it came with. The brush makes it easy to apply onto the roots of my hair. I applied the hair colour section by section as it makes it easier to know where I have already applied and ensures that I don't miss any part of my hair that needs colour. I focused more on the front where my grey hairs are really noticeable and on the sides. It's hard to tell where to apply when trying to do the back part of my hair but it's handy to have someone to help you apply it if you can! The whole process didn't take too long and then I left the colour in for around 15 minutes and then washed it out. The colour looked really nice and did a pretty good job of covering my grey hairs. Since then the colour hasn't faded and still looks good!

I was able to cover grey hair in under 20 minutes. The instructions are very easy to follow. Just mix and apply with the brush provided. Wait ten minutes then rinse off. I waited fifteen minutes to ensure the colour would be strong enough. It has a pleasant scent and a good consistency. I found that there was enough of the formula to cover my part and temples and I used the excess on the areas near my hair part. I am happy with the result. The coverage is very good on the top of my head, not so great on my temples but they are always harder to cover. The colour has blended in well with the rest of my hair and I'm hoping it will last a couple of weeks until my next hair colour. This is great for refreshing colour inbetween full colour treatments and is very economical. I'm really happy to have been able to trial this product.

The instructions were very easy to follow. I loved that it was a cream texture unlike others which are messy. It covered all my greys and it only took not more than 5 minutes to apply. I waited 10 minutes and it was done. What I really like about the product was there was no toxic or chemical smell that you get with other products. I will now be using this product regularly as it is gentle and not damaging to my hair.

As per the 3 step instructions , I followed them exactly and I found them to be very clear and the process was straightforward. As a consumer that has plenty of grey root regrowth every 2-3 weeks, I was amazed at the grey coverage it has provided and all in the space of 15 mins application. I have generally thick hair and also very stubborn greys. There was no strong chemical smell from the Colour, no scalp reaction or irritation, being that it was a Level 8 Medium Blonde Colour. I found the CLAIROL brand of Colour to be a very good product and would not hesitate to use it again abs also recommend it to friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use for when not ready for full hair dye [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This creme is useful to do touch ups when you are not ready for a full dye yet and I do like that it comes with the mixing bowl as the bottles are smaller than a regular colouring package however, it would make more sense to not be single use. Maybe it should come with a bigger bottle of product and measurements of how much to mix. Apart from that, easy instructions to follow and easy to use. The colour was correct for my tone so that's great news. Only takes 10 minutes so I also like that part and it's permanent. The packaging says it lasts 3 weeks so that's perfect if you are in between full colours and don't want to walk around with grays in that meantime. Note: doesn't come with post treatment moisturiser.

The brush was hard and didn't hold enough product. This review came at a good time because I am 4 weeks into my 6 week hair colour. I used some on my main part area and around my face line. I have thick, shortish hair. I had leftovers, so I just massaged it through the rest of my hair. 7 minutes, then a hairwash and I will see the result. I was happy with the end result. It just blended in my greys and it made my part area look refreshed. It livened up my 4 week old hair colour. My hair was super soft. So quick and easy to freshen up your look.

The brush applicator it comes with makes applying the dye very easy. Whenever I need to retouch my dark roots, this is the dye I use. Also it is is gentle and not damaging to my hair.

The instruction were very easy to follow and the product easy to mix and use. l did leave mine on for an extra 15 minutes as my regrowth was pretty bad to my surprise it did cover all of my greys. My hair felt very soft after l used this creme and l will be using this on a regular basis now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It only took 10 minutes to develop [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally dye my own hair a chestnut brown colour which takes well over an hour to do at home. I was very excited to trial Clairol Root Touch-up which takes just 10 minutes to develop. I found everything I needed in the box including a mixing tray and application brush. I chose 5R Medium Auburn which matched my current colour. Although the colour cream and lotion were quite small there was more than enough to colour the hairline around my face and part with some left over. I used the excess to colour on either side of my part so I didn’t have to part the exact same spot every time. I was quite impressed with the results. Even though I had coloured only a fraction of what I normally would a lot quicker than usual my hair looked so much better than before. I would highly recommend Clairol Root Touch-up for in between full colours or if you are rushed before an event for a hair refresh.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect solution between colors [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to try out the new root touch up. The results were fantastic, perfect color match with the medium blond I usually use. The product was very easy to apply and only 10 mins waiting before rinsing......so quick. I am finding as my hair is turning more grey, the roots seem to be more visible much more quickly and this is the perfect quick fix. Will definitely purchase in the future.

It just saved me a trip to the hairdresser and so easy to use. 15 minutes is all you need to look revamped. Root Touch Up is a great product for me as a busy women on the go. It only took me 15 minutes prior to my shower following the instructions. Grey hairs on my temples were gone immediately. The colour I used was Dark Brown No 4. It makes my hair look really natural. All up, a great product to use and I will definitely use this again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good coverage in short time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried it 1 weeks ago I followed the instructions on 10 to 15min. It comes with a small application brush and small plastic tub? to mix 2 mixture of colors. Love the brush very much its very easy to put it on the roots&side of your hair line. But it stingy at first and it gets ok. The result was pretty good covered about 95% of grey hair but I can tell its not completely covered. Maybe if I live it between 15 to 20 min will have better results. Thank you for letting me try this product i find it very happy with the result will definitely buy it for sure.

The product comes as a kit including an mixing bowl and applicator brush. The colour I used was medium brown. This is a very versatile colour as it blended in well with my existing colour. Root Touch Up is great for covering grey roots and extending your colour between hairdressing appointments.

Its easy to use, did the job and I felt like I wasn't wasting an entire box of hair dye when all I needed was to cover up my regrowth. I'm really happy with the results and I'd buy this again in the future.
