Active Ingredients: Avène Thermal Spring Water: soothing and softening
Lactic acid 2.43%: Exfoliant and helps refine skin texture and reduce blemishes and residual marks.
Succinic acid 3%: For pH adjustment and helps refine skin texture and reduce blemishes and residual marks.
Glutamic acid 0.2%: Leaves skin feeling soft, supple and aids with skin moisture retention.

Directions

Apply once or twice a day, morning and/or evening, to clean, dry skin on the face, neck and décolleté alone or before your skincare. Let it penetrate before applying your daily care. For best results, use after cleansing with the Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel. Avoid contact with the eyes and limit sun exposure or use sun protection when using this product. If sensations of discomfort appear, allow more time between applications.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you so so much to review crew for sending me this! i used the cleanser form this range for the last couple of months and i saw some results but adding this into my routine WOW. i have oily and acne prone skin and i was going through a phase where my breakout where 1-2 pimples but like everyday and i used an ordinary salicylic acid serum thinking it was helping. now i see the difference. my skin has never looked and felt better. this has 100% become my favourite and i will definitely repurchase. i even recommended it to a friend so ill see what she thinks. thanks so much again to britt crew it is such a privilege❤️

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Avene has my business with this one! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this serum for three weeks and I LOVE this product. I have VERY sensitive skin so I patch tested for the first application, and the next day I could feel noticeable softness where I had applied it. I wear face masks at work most days and have problems with texture - this serum has evened out the surface of my skin and left it looking glowy and youthful. This serum does have a bit of an acidic smell to it, but it disappears as soon as it is absorbed. I can’t say it did much to help with oil production either (as the description suggests). I would recommend trying this to anyone who has otherwise fussy skin. I have a history of contact dermatitis (even with other Avene products), but have no issues with this serum - it’s a clear winner.

I received Eau Thermale Avene Cleanance A.H.A Exfoliating Serum I have been pleasantly surprised at how my skin is now feeling! I have large pores, acne prone, very oily skin. The is the first product that has left my skin feeling so smooth and clear. I have had so many compliments on my skin! I use it every evening followed by a moisturiser. There is no real fragrance to the product which is nice. Once I finish the product I will definitely be repurchasing it’s easy to use. I have already recommended it to all my friends.

I didn’t see a major difference to my spots but may use it for longer as it didn’t irritate my skin. I think it works well on semi lighter spots and not as powerful as the other spot serum. Didn’t smell overly fragrant and dropper is easy to use, I don’t like to use perfume products because my skin is sensitive so this works okay for now. I would recommend this to people with normal or oily skin, it’s not super hydrating as it has a watery consistency.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone with oily and acne prone skin I love incorporating AHA products into my skincare routine! Avene's Cleanance A.H.A Exfoliating Serum comes in a bottle with an easy to use dropper. The serum is clear, and slightly on the runny side, with no noticeable scent. I used this as part of my night time routine, with 2 or 3 drops on my face following cleansing and toning. The first time I used it I did notice a slight tingling around the nose area, but this disappeared after subsequent uses, so I'm pretty confident this should play well on sensitive skin. Also happy to report that it didn't cause any pilling with products used afterwards, which can sometimes be a problem! I'm not sure I noticed too much of a difference with acne on my face, but I did start using this on some acne that popped up on my chest and back, as well as the rougher skin that sometimes pops up on my upper arms, and this worked like a dream!! This gets 4 stars as I'll continue to use this on my body as needed!

I've noticed my acne scars fading quicker, which is a win. It's light, and it doesn't leave me feeling sticky, so I've been using it as part of my morning routine. It's fragrance-free, which I like because my moisturiser is not. I haven't noticed much in the way of shrunken pores, but I haven't been using it for very long, so that might still happen.

It takes time to see results (took me around 5 weeks) but I does make a difference. I used it once or twice a week and will be definitely keeping this in my skincare routine in the future. Texture is smooth and the serum has a nice feel on the skin, it is lightweight and doesnt effect other skincare products i use in my routine. Definitely recommend it to those who have discolouration or small bumps across the skin, as it really helped me with those specific areas.

I would recommend easing into using this product and using it when you don’t have to go out as it did make my skin extremely red the first few times I used it. I enjoyed using this product and have seen a change in my skin, it did purge slightly to begin with but it has been clearer and I have noticed my pores have been less full and my skin hasn’t been as oily. I will definitely continue using this product and will be repurchasing!!

It doesn't smell very pleasant, but I have found it to work quite well at maintaining clearer skin which is all thanks to the combination of lactic and succinc acid. I have tried many different AHA's and most tend to leave a sticky film over my skin which drives me insane, however this particular one feels so comfortable and lightweight! I have noticed a slight reduction in the level of pigmentation on my skin which I am thrilled about, so I am very hopefully that I will continue to see results in time.

It has a watery texture and absorbs quickly without feeling greasy, making it easy to insert this serum into your skincare routine. It's great for beginners and it doesn't irritate my skin so I can use it daily but I don't use other actives when I use this serum to reduce the chances of damaging my skin barrier. It works well to reduce the size of active blemishes overnight and I notice my face feels smoother when I wakeup . If you use this during the day, remember to apply sunscreen as AHAs can make your skin more sensitive to the sun.

First time using this, I used it two nights in a row and my skin, especially my neck, was hot, red and so itchy. I have had to reduce use to my face only every 3rd night. I’ve found my skin is softer to the touch, and some scarring and dark spots have faded, but I am still getting a variety of smaller and larger pimples, no more and no less than before. The smell is subtle, and it soaks into my skin very quickly. Easy to apply, easy to use and attractive packaging. I may continue to use this, but I’m not sure

I have some acne and large pores so was hoping it would help me. I found that the serum needed to be used for some time before seeing some results. After a week or so, my pores did look a bit tighter and my skin wasn’t as oily. Not sure I saw a reduction in pimples but it’s still early days! Wasn’t a fan of the smell of this serum but that’s not a big deal. Was used after cleansing at night and before moisturizing.

Upon first impression, I liked the aqua-blue colour of the packaging and the dropper application. This product was very easy and hygenic to use as I could squeeze the serum out using the dropper. The serum itself is a very thin texture which made it easier to absorb into my skin. After using this product I noticed some difference in my overall skin texture but no major differences in blemishes or pores. I have oily skin but this product did not add to my oilness throughout the day which I liked. Overall, I feel that this is a specialised skincare product that would be easy to incorporate into your skincare routine.

It rivals pricier exfoliating solutions that I currently use, delivering visible results at a fraction of the cost. Overnight, my active blemishes visibly reduced in size, leaving my skin clearer and smoother. Its gentle formula is a blessing for sensitive skin, devoid of any irritation. However, a rich moisturiser is a must to balance its potency. Though labeled for twice-daily use, I would instead recommend limiting it to once or twice weekly for best results and to avoid damaging the skin barrier. It has a vinegar smell to it which is a bit unpleasant but once you apply your moisturiser on top it goes away. My routine is cleansing, using the serum and then moisturising after it is dry. I have large pores, I have not noticed that much of a difference in size. I will continue to use it long term and see if I notice more changes. I normally do not get a lot of pimples so this has maintained by clear skin which is good.

It’s easy to use, I use it every other day to allow me skin to get use to the product. I love that Avene has created this for adult acne, blemish prone skin and scaring! It’s light weight easy to use and it’s been good for my sensitive skin. With more use I will be able to see more results but I’m loving that it’s been added into my skincare routine! Once I finish the bottle I think I would repurchase it’s easy to use, not messy and non irritant with fragrance for my skin! I also love that the thermal water is added for extra hydration! Not only have I seen a major improvement in my overall skin texture, appearance and pours, but it has helped clear some of my deep acne/scars on my chin which I was not expecting at all! The best part is that it's fit right into my current skincare routine and reacts well with the products which was something I always struggle with. I've been using it morning and night for only just two weeks now and am very impressed with the results. Would highly recommend!

The reason for 3 stars is because unfortunately I find drugstore chemical exfoliants don’t work on me as well as cosmeceutical does. I did gently exfoliate and helped reduce the texture and pimples on my skin that I could feel but in return my skin would over compensate with making more oil in my pores and overall giving me that shiny effect. I would recommend this for someone who’s starting out in the chemical exfoliants world. My skin unfortunately require multiple acid peels/exfoliants for something to actually work for it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn’t work well for me [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the bottle it comes in and the dropper works really well, also a huge fan that it is fragrance free and doesn’t have one of those overpowering scents that some products have. I used this serum for 2 weeks every night and found the first few times I used it my face was a touch red, but not overly noticeable. The serum itself goes on well and doesn’t leave my face feeling oily like and dries nicely. Unfortunately for me it didn’t really make much of a difference to any noticeable blemishes I have or reduce them. I really had high hopes for this product as I have heard from others it does work great for them as it is supposed to. I definitely do recommend trying this product to see if it works for you though!

I have used exfoliating serums before and I do like this one. It has a nice texture and applies smoothly all over my skin. I enjoyed adding this product to my skin care routine every morning for the past couple of weeks. Since I started using this product I have seen some results including, smoother skin and slightly less oily areas. I do have very oily skin so I would advise if you would like a product which provides an all over approach to oily skin, maybe try and different product. I would recommend trying this product it will last a long time as only a small amount is needed.

I normally have oily acne prone skin, so I was excited to see how the serum worked with my skincare routine. I already use retinol a couple nights a week so I started using this on the mornings I don’t use retinol, followed by moisturiser and SPF. I did notice a slight decrease in the oil of my skin and quicker fading of post acne marks. I have been using this a couple times a week for two weeks, but I will continue to use it to see how it improves my skin
