General Information

Avène Vitamin Activ Cg Radiance Concentrated Serum is a daily brightening serum for sensitive skin, designed to boost skin radiance and reduce the appearance of dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles in the skin.* Immediately after product application, the skin’s complexion looks radiant, brightened and even. It also has antioxidant and detoxifying properties, which help reduce the number of free radicals on the skin that are produced by UV rays and pollution.
The serum helps to visibly reduce wrinkles and fine lines, brightening and unifying the overall complexion as superficial dark spots are lightened and their intensity reduced*. Skin radiance is immediately improved after the first use, offering a dewy finish and healthy glow. After 29 days, fine lines and wrinkles are visibly improved*.

This is one of the best serums I have used, I love it. It has plumped up my skin and evened out my complexion and I can see my acne scars getting lighter. This one hasn't broken me out at all and it's the first one I have tried that hasn't! Loved the product packaging of this serum. The use glass vessel feel very luxe in to your hands and looks very clean as a product brand. The applicator squeezer is great, I was able to suck up the right amount of serum and squeeze the amount I needed to apply on my face. To me, the product didn't have too much of a smell. So that was plus for me when using any new products as I am sensitive to new smells. In conjunction of using this serum and cream, it has definitely improved my complexion. Overall making my skin feel and look brighter which has been noticed by my sisters and partner. I do have sun spots on my face and have been using this for about 3 weeks now. From my perspective has definitely lightened that pigmentation of sun spots on my face. I was really pleased with this as it definitely lives up to is selling points. Overall my skin is way brighter and me feel more confidence to have a bare face in public and not having to apply makeup! Will definitely be buying this serum once I run of it.

It has improved my skin tone and improved my oiliness. I wake up with skin that it’s moisturised but not overly oily. It is easy to apply, soaks in nicely without leaving an oily or sticky feeling and doesn’t have an overpowering scent. The dropper does not seem to pick up much product but it is easy to work with. I would recommend this to others who are wanting to see visible improvements in their skin.

I have been trialing it for around 2 weeks now and I can confirm that I will be using this as one of the main products in my skin care regime from now on! It is sooo lush and luxurious to the touch and on my face. It is so easy to apply, it speaks smoother than liquid gold! It doesn't feel heavy, it feels super light which is great because I don't like feeling that I am wearing anything! I love that it helps protect against Free radical and pollution as my skin can be quite sensitive so I feel like this Serum is helping with that already as my skin feels and looks smoother and I have less blemishes! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] "Wow - You are glowing!!" - one of my friends after I had been using the Eau Thermale Avène Vitamin Activ CG Serum along with the Eau Thermale Avène Vitamin Activ CG Radiance Intensive Cream. Seriously, how much better of a compliment can you get?! The only thing I had been doing differently? Adding this gorgeous serum and the cream to my skincare routine. I am really happy with the results and would recommend these two products to everyone. When you apply the serum and the cream (not too much or it feels sticky), it is so light. A small bit goes a looooooong way! It glides straight on and gives your skin this gorgeous glow. It reduced my red spots and helped a tiny bit with the dark patches. It only helped with the fine lines and wrinkles as soon as I applied the serum, they all came back as soon as I started applying the rest of my makeup. But the glow stayed and that is the bit that I am so impressed with! I'm adding this permanently to my skincare routine.

It is silky and has a pleasant fragrance which is not overpowering. The product helps trap in moisture, made my skin incredibly soft and smooth, noticeably reduced my dark spots and lightened my acne scars. This product didn’t cause my sensitive skin to break out even from the first use, is a perfect product for that under makeup prep for any skin type and didn’t exacerbate my oily skin and if anything actually decreased my oil production. This is truly a holy grail product that I will be repurchasing and will use forever. The price is fair for the amount of product and output you get, you don’t need to use a lot for it to be effective. When paired with the accompanying moisturiser it lasts all day or all night, leaves the skin feeling soft, smooth, silky and calm. I would truly recommend this product to anyone and everyone as I believe it would be amazing on all skin types and when used in conjunction with other products like salicylic acid serums, hyaluronic acid serums and niacinamide doesn’t pill, get chalky or lather and layers beautifully and comfortably.

I was super excited to give this duo a try because I have olive skin and I have hormonal pigmentation caused by the sun. I have a few areas on my face that have dark pigmentation that won't seem to fade. After using the duo my skin complexion overall is so much brighter and the spots of concern have started to fade. I will say a little goes a long way, especially for the Cream. I have been using both products morning everyday for the last month and the results are amazing. I will continue to use the range as my skin feels and looks great. The products absorb nicely into the skin and makeup application is a dream. This made my skin soft, smooth, hydrated and I feel some of my texture and scarring has faded. The packaging makes the product easy to use. I think the dropper style keeps the product fresh and more hygienic. The smell is subtle, fresh and very pleasant. It did not linger on the skin once absorbed. It soaked into my skin pretty quickly and was easy to add to my routine. I wore it under sunscreen and make up and it wore very well. No pilling of product and didn’t make my skin any more oily by the end of the day. I would repurchase and recommend to others.

The product was easy to apply, similar to other bottles with a dropper design in it. The scent wasn’t overly strong and smelt lightly fragrant. My face breaks out quite often, but my skin condition was pretty good after a few weeks of application - the reddishness was gone so my skin tone appeared quite even. Overall quite pleased with the product, definitely on my repurchasing list.

Rated 5 out of 5 by May M. from Superb Serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the newest serum from Avene, a brightening and moisturising skincare product that can be used for all skin types. It comes in a glass bottle with a pipette to apply the serum and keep the ingredients fresh. I use one full pipette for my face and neck and I mostly use it in the morning but it can be used in the evening too. This alone is moisturising enough for me but it can also be layered with other skincare products if your skin is on the drier side. The texture of the serum is light but not runny, hydrating but not heavy. The serum absorbs quite quickly and gives my skin a nice sheen. It contains the ingredient vitamin Cg, which is an alternative to vitamin C, and is said to be the equivalent of 20% vitamin C. I have used vitamin C products in the past and know about its benefits. That alone creates enough interest in the product but I was impressed that it also contained bakuchiol and niacinamide. The first week of using the serum my skin felt hydrated and soft with some brightening. After the second week the texture of my skin improved, my skin appeared much brighter and less dull. There were some dark spots that had lightened and overall my face looked radiant. With the anti ageing benefits I haven't noticed much, that would be the only thing that I haven't seen an improvement in.

It contains so many great active ingredients with the main one being vitamin C which is known to help with brightening the skin. It also contains other active ingredients including niacinamide which helps with pigmentation and dark spots. It also contains another ingredient that wasn't very familiar to me called bakuchiol. Upon my research I found that it's actually a plant based alternative to retinol and is meant to be more gentle and suitable for those who have sensitive skin. With these three ingredients I was excited to see how it would improve my skin. I would apply the serum morning and night and apply other products like SPF in the morning and the intensive cream at night. The serum was easy to apply and didn't feel sticky. I have been taking notice of my skin and focusing on any changes. What I've noticed the most is how much brighter my skin looks. It really helps to give your skin a nice glow. The dark spots on my face have lightened and my skin tone is looking more even. It feels hydrating and really gentle on the skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Eue Thermale Vitamin Active CG Serum produced noticeable reaults within just two week’s use. I am a 25 year old with sensitive skin, and very pronounced frown lines between eye brows and crows feet around my eyes - I had been using a range of other serums without any noticeable results until I tried Eau Thermale! This serum has a light, conditioning, skin feel on application and works to brighten under eyes and around the forehead area. You will need to use daily for the best results. Not only that, but the serum reduced the apparence of my forehead frown lines and crows feet. Recommend applying a few drops of the serum under eyes, forehead and nose as part of your night time routine and leave on over night. Another benefit is the light, non- oily feel, which leaves your skin feeling fresh, clean and yourself feeling pampered. The serum comes with an easy applicator and is a decent size, which should last for months with daily application. The price is comparatively more affordable than many other high quality luxury skin care brands, and comes with the look and feel of a luxury product. I highly recommend for anyone with slightly dry or sensitive skin, as it is gentle and works to reduce the look of dry or red skin patches too. This serum is my new go to product.

A get some hyperpigmentation and darkness when I have pimples but they have been lightening up much quicker than usual. The texture of the serum is really nice, slightly thicker and very creamy. It absorbs really quickly too! There’s no off-putting fragrance either. Comes in a nice glass bottle, only thing I’d change about the packaging is maybe changing it into a pump instead of a dropper? I think it would be a little more easier to control. Other than that I’ve had a really good experience using this product so far. I highly recommend and I’d most likely purchase it again!

This does have some sort of lightening effect to some extent, I tested it on one spot and it improved slightly so I’ll probably continue to try the product. Even though it was fragranced slightly it didn’t affect my sensitive skin too much. I’d recommend this serum but just be patient and give it time cause it is stronger than other Avene spot serums.

The serum feels very light on the skin and does not leave an oily feeling after applying. After 3 weeks of trying the product, I have seen visible changes to my skin. My skin feels more hydrated, softer and smoother. I have also noticed that my skin has brightened up and is glowing. The packaging of the serum is very simple and small easy to bring around me whilst I was travelling. The serum does not have too strong of a smell like some other products which was a plus for me. Definitely recommend you trying it for yourself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a little bit of hyperpigmentation so I'm always on the hunt for a good Vitamin C product! This was not like any Vit C product I've used before! Firstly, the product has a milky and slightly runny texture, unlike most Vit C products that are usually clear/slightly yellow and lean more on the oily side. The bottle comes with a dropper that I found relatively easy to use - I used 2-3 drops every day as part of my morning routine and followed up with Avene's matching Vitamin Activ CG Radiance Intensive Cream. My big con about this product is the extremely strong scent. It is quite overwhelming and lasted for several minutes post application, so be warned if you're a fan of fragrance-free products. I'm not sure if this has to do with the formulation, but unlike most other Vit C products, I didn't notice any discolouration at all - the product stayed milky white throughout the several weeks I trialled this product. I'm not sure this faded any of my hyperpigmentation, but I certainly found that my skin was a lot brighter!

I used this along with their moisturiser and the two products I felt complimented each other well. I don’t usually use a serum as I usually keep things quite simple with just the basics. Although I enjoyed using this product, you only need a small amount and it applies smoothly onto the skin. I felt it helped with the radiance of my skin and gave me a glow!! I would say it didn’t help with my few blemishes, fine lines or wrinkles. I will continue using this product although adding an extra step into my skin care routine is not something I may continue long term. If you are already using a serum and looking to a try and new one this is the one for you!

The serum comes with an easy applicator and is a decent size, which should last for months with daily application. I highly recommend for anyone with slightly dry or sensitive skin, as it is gentle and works to reduce the look of dry or red skin patches too. This serum is my new go to product.

I have found the effects it claims to achieve to be very accurate! I have definitely noticed a reduction in my fine lines and wrinkles and after applying the serum, my skin looks and feels wonderful and radiant. I used this product jointly with the Avène Vitamin Activ CG Radiance Intensive Cream and the Avène Cleanance A.H.A Exfoliating Serum and these products in use together are simply amazing. I cannot recommend this line enough!

After looking at the ingredients I saw they were all clean yay! The serum feels lovely on the skin and was easy to apply with the serum. I used mine in the morning followed by the moisturizer and SPF. I noticed each night make skin was definitely more glowy and radiant. However unfortunately after a few days use of this I started to have red bumps appear over my face. I stopped the product and tried again a few days later and the same thing happened. The moisturizer alone did not have this affect.

Having used this product consistently, I've noticed a slight difference in dark spots and a moderate difference in brighter skin tone and fine smile lines. The serum itself is lightweight and can be easily layered before targeted hydrating serums and sunscreen in the AM. In the PM, the serum can be layered over hydrating toners/serums with no issue with pilling. This serum would be suitable for those looking for overall brightening of the skin.

However this particular serum doesn't feel that way at all which is a pleasant surprise! I'm a big fan of pipette bottles - it just makes application so much easier in the way you can control how much product you require while being hygienic at the same time. I love that it contains a highly potent form of Vitamin C to really brighten up my complexion and help fade dark spots. I've definitely noticed a difference after a few weeks of use.

So far it’s been feeling good it’s great for sensitive skin. I cannot wait to see more results to along the way! To help with dark spots and wrinkles! I like how this product has antioxidant and detoxifying properties, which help reduce the number of free radicals on the skin that are produced by UV rays and pollution. With added niacinamide for the hydration too is good. So far I’m enjoying it and I will be continuing to use it in my skincare routine!
