I was expecting to use it as more spot treatment as it was for imperfections, but it was great just as a normal moisturiser. It wasn’t drying and didn’t strip the skin. It didn’t have any scent which I loved as some scents can really irritate me and give me a headache. It was lightweight so perfect for the really warm Perth summer we have been having. No sticky feeling left on the skin which was great.

I received it and didn't know how it would help me or what it would do but after looking into the ingredients and what it does, It helped me reduce my blackheads and problem areas such as acne and scarring. I've never known how to get rid of my blackheads, I always used the pore strip's but after finding out they aren't good for my skin, I just left it. I used the la Roche-posay moisturiser on my problem areas which were my nose, forehead and under my eyes. I applied it morning and night as the instructions said and i could notice a difference within a week! I have noticed my blackheads reduce and almost disappear completely and it has smoothed out my skin. I really liked that it had no strong smell to it, the texture was super hydrating and made my skin feel super soft. If you struggle with blackheads like I do, give it a try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + Moisturizer the first week of using it every morning I had started to notice some of my darker pimples/ dark marks had slowly started to lighten up. My skin started to look even, brighter & glowing. I would use this product after cleansing my face before doing my usual skincare routine every morning. Eventually I thought I should also start using it before bed. I really liked this product as it didn't make my skin feel oily like some moisturizers, the texture is a light weight cream that's nice & silky smooth. I would really like to try more of their other products as I really liked this one.

It is very hydrating on the face as I have dry and sensitive skin . It is very easy to apply, it just glides on the skin and easy to blend effortless.It has hydrating and mattifying gel-cream.Non-greasy finish. You can use it as a primer.Very happy with the result on my face it helps hydrate my dry skin and brightened my dark spots and pigmentation. I apply it on my face morning and evening after cleansing with the effaclar foaming gel. They are perfect combination on my skincare routine.I would definitely recommend this to my friends. I bring it everywhere with me.

It was smooth applied over all my skin care with no problem, my makeup went over the top flawlessly with no patchy spots and my skin felt amazing. I would highly recommend it. I have sensitive skin and it fifnt react badly to that either, i have acne prone skin and it didnt break me out, I also have combination skin and it still worked beautifully. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super impressed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to receive this product to trial, I was initially very excited for this moisturiser because I’ve used some great La Roche Posay products in the past, however I wasn’t prepared for how impressed I would be with this product. I have very sensitive skin which is also prone to hormonal acne, being almost 30 years old and still breaking out when my period comes is unfortunate to say the least, most acne products aren’t suitable as they aggravate my skin. This moisturiser has little to no scent and didn’t aggravate my sensitive skin at all. It was super refreshing and moisturising on my skin, leaving the skin feeling very soft and refreshed. It worked great under makeup and also made for a great primer- it wasn’t greasy at all. Most importantly, after using for a few weeks my skin is so clear! Pimples that have dared to surface have cleared up much faster than usual, and I’ve had less pimples overall. My skin is looking flawless and clear, while it also feels super soft and comfortable. I am excited to continue to use this product after the trial, as it really has done everything promised and I am left very happy with the results. I do recommend this product to anyone who needs a moisturiser that is suitable for sensitive skin, and works wonders on reducing acne.

Over the years I have used multiple La Roche Posay products including a previous iteration of this product. I applied the cream all over my face in the evening on freshly cleaned face. I did not find that my face was red or irritated after wards which is quite typical for me when I use acne specific products. I found it quite hydrating and it has a neutral clean smell. After a few weeks of use, I am happy to say that I found that my skin was clearer. It also helped any spots to come to the surface quicker than it would usually so the healing process was quicker too. I would recommend this product to anyone who deals with the occasional spot or acne and would like a non irritating and hydrating product.

It absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy feeling. I have acne-prone combination skin with an oily butterfly zone. I used this cream for a month during the summer and I am absolutely in love with it! I used this cream around my nose area, cheeks and chin area (which are usually oilier) and a heavier cream on my forehead (which is drier). My pimples disappeared overnight whenever I use this cream. I love using it as a spot treatment as well because of its effectiveness and a little goes a long way, so it is really good value for money. It is still gentle on my sensitive skin and does not cause any irritation otherwise. I would definitely recommend this cream to anyone with acne-prone and oily skin types looking for an effective cream.

I have noticed a considerable difference in the health of my skin. This product has reduced the amount of oil on my skin and has cleared up many of my acne marks and reduced the appearance of scars. I have been using this product twice a day after cleansing and before moisturising. The product comes out quite thick but as you rub it in it becomes like water. It leaves my skin looking so glowy and glass like. Often I have even been using this product on its own but it also works great under makeup. I will definitely be repurchasing this product when I run out and recommending it to everyone!

I have dry/combination skin that can be a little sensitive to acne treatments, sometimes causing dryness, but I have had no issues with this cream. I have been using it focusing on my problem areas on my forehead, nose and chin and have found it is definitely helping keep my skin clearer and helping with my blackheads around my nose area which I have a little trouble with. As I find with most La Roche Posay products, a little goes a long way which is always a bonus to an already affordable, quality product. The product aims to both moisturise and target blemishes on acne prone congested skin. After using this product for a couple of weeks, the frequency of pimples showing up on my face has greatly reduced. Any acne marks which usually take weeks to fade, now fade within days. I also have an embarrassingly oily nose, I use this product under mattifying sunscreen and it has reduced the amount of oil and sebum my pores create - as well as clearing up any pesky blackheads. I didn't know what to expect and honestly didn't think it would make a difference to my skin at all. The only way I get rid of my black heads is using pore strip's which I've heard are not too good for your skin so I've been avoiding them and the black heads have been building up. After trialing this the la Roche-posay moisturisers about 2 weeks everyday morning and night, I can honestly say I have noticed a difference to my skin. I specifically massage it into places where I have enlarged pores or blackheads and I have noticed they have reduced, made those problem areas smooth and its working on making them disappear completely. It's not heavy on my skin at all and is actually very hydrating. I look the consistency, texture and the way it makes my skin look and feel. I will continue to use this product and recommend to my friends and family that struggle with blackheads like I do.

I’ve had issues with preventing acne during the summer and this has really helped, best of all it sits nicely under sunscreen and makeup. It has also helped with fading my existing acne scars which usually take forever to fade on their own. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for acne [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this product every morning for the last month or so and noticed that my acne has been a lot better. I usually experience a bit of hormonal acne around my jawline and cheeks and this has made a significant difference in clearing it up while I have been using the product. The cream has a nice light weight texture and is moisturising enough to use without an additional moisturiser. I have been using this in the morning only after washing my face and before applying sunscreen. I use a retinol at night and prefer not to apply too many products at the same time as this. But I think applying this cream in the morning only was sufficient to see results. I have already recommended the cream to some friends and will continue to do so.

The first thing I noticed was the ingredients listing which showed some great skin ingredients such as niaciamide and salicylic acid. I also liked the texture and consistency. I found it worked quite well on my skin and helped control my oil and also helped to slowly reduce my acne marks. I’m sure with continued use, they will continue to be reduced as well. It didn’t irritate my skin either which is a big plus. Overall I’d recommend to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love for oily textured skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I (33F) have oily textured skin with open pores and this does a wonderful job at keeping my face clear with a slight matte effect. Sits beautifully on the skin both alone and under makeup. Keep in mind that a little goes a long way so by right the product tube should last a while. Super happy with this and will definitely be incorporating into my regular routine from now on! Rated 4 out of 5 by from A more moisturising formula, overall no breakouts! I had used the original Effaclar duo+ for over 2 years before this new formula was introduced. It healed a lot of my teenage cystic acne and became a staple. So naturally I was a bit nervous with the effects of the new formula. Unlike many other reviews, my sensitive acne prone skin did not break out!!! In fact, I found this formula much more soothing. Unlike the previous formula, my skin was dried out slightly afterwards and I had to replenish it with a thin layer of Cicaplast. This, however, did not have the same sensation and my skin felt hydrated and overall, I do feel like it’s a more hydrating and gentle formula. I do not see a big change in my skin if I were to be honest, but I have relatively clear skin and I’m happy with the way my skin is feeling. Not too dry or oily, just right. Nonetheless, this formula may be different for everyone. But I made sure everything remained constant in my routine when trying this new formula. Washed pillow cases, sanitized phone cover, scheduled my skincare routines around 12 hours apart.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Moisturiser for oily skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate enough to receive the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + M Moisturiser as a trial product from BH. My favourite thing about this product is that it reduces blemishes and deeply hydrates skin. I can feel my skin feels more moisturised and hydrated. For the price, I highly recommend giving it a try if you have blemish. I have oily skin so I am always on the lookout for light-weight moisturiser. I can confirm this product is lightweight, gel-cream texture. I like how it spreads evenly on my skin and because it is so lightweight, it absorbs quickly without feeling sticky or oily.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works best when used with other Effaclar products [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When using this moisturiser for the first time, without the other Effaclar products from Laroche Posay I was quite disappointed. I noticed no difference, my acne, blackheads and post-acne were just as bad as before using the product. However, after I’d started using this moisturiser with the Effaclar face wash and the daily peeling serum I noticed a difference. My skin was less red and inflamed and my skin felt a lot softer and smoother. This product makes for a nice, hydrating moisturiser by itself. But when used with the other products it works to help stop acne. I would recommend this product if you’re going to use the other Effaclar products from Laroche Posay as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have absolutely loved using this product! I would recommend to anyone with acne prone skin. After only a couple of weeks there has been a noticeable difference in my skin, the texture of my skin appears smoother and my skin tone is a lot more even than it was! It has a lightweight formula so doesn’t feel like you have anything on your skin as well. Great product for anyone that suffers with acne / bumpy skin. Would also be great for teens as well! Will definitely recommend to friends and family and continue to keep this in my skincare routine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + M Moisturiser [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + M Moisturiser has a fairly strong fresh but artificial fragrance that lingers. If you like skincare products with fragrance, then you should be fine. It has a lotion consistency that is lightly moisturising. You don’t need to apply a lot because it spreads easily. It absorbed well into my skin, though I could still feel the product after application. I like the tube packaging, it is easy to control how much product you dispense, so you won’t waste product. The packaging is clean and simple. It is a 40ml tube that won’t take up too much space. The screw top lid attaches securely, it won’t expose the product to air. My tube has a use by date of over 2 years, May 2026 being the shelf life. Once opened you have 12 months to use it. It’s RRP is $37.95, but I expect it will go on sale at stores such as Chemist Warehouse and Priceline. I applied the product to targeted spots due to my skin sensitivity, to ascertain if my skin could handle it. When I used it at night under moisturiser, I found the fragrance still too intense, however I am very sensitive to fragrance and my skin is extremely sensitive, so I couldn’t handle the fragrance. It has a bunch of good ingredients in it including salicylic acid, niacinamide and La Roche-Posay thermal spring water. If they made a fragrance-free version, I think I’d really like it.
