Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product, a few downsides [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is amazing but has some very apparent cons It cured my dandruff, itchy scalp, and scalp sensitivity but it did make the mids of my hair quite dry and because it needs to sit on the hair & scalp can make the ends of the hair very brittle if it seeps down. The fragrance is quite nice to begin with however as it’s massaged in and left to sit as per directions the smell becomes very chemically and slightly acidic, much less than most other products in this range but still noticeable The colour is very yellow orange, it does not stain hands or skin and doesn’t alter hair colour that I’ve noticed however it can stain scalp scrubbers if they are wood or plastic The only other downside is the packaging size, I have very fine hair and lots of it so I found I needed a fair bit of product to actually get down to the scalp, because of the small bottle size this meant I ran out quite quickly and was off to purchase more

Over the past year I have started to struggle with more itchy, sensitive scalp as well as noticing more dandruffs, which has been bothering. I tried a range of dandruff products across the market but some only help for a day, and some made it more itchy with the chemicals and fragrance. This one is a true gem as it not only solved my itchy scalp and dandruff over the past two months of continuously using it, my hair and scalp felt refreshed, no build up, and my hair didn’t feel dried out or easy to be tangled. I’ve recommended it to my mother (50) and she is loving it too!

Generally, anti-dandruff shampoo can be generic and more catered toward the male hair. Thankfully DERCOS is made with formulas for different hair types. I have dry hair, so I must be picky with my shampoo. I also like the ingredients in this shampoo. Salicylic Acid is a great way to exfoliate the hair and remove dry flaky skin. Over the weeks of using the shampoo, I have found that I'm not too fond of the smell as it smells like Rexona body wash. However, my hair has been nurtured well. It feels soft, healthy and full. Not many shampoos can do that, so I am glad I gave this a try.

I found it to be more effective than your grocery store options but without the very strong smell of the chemist ones. It still still have a smell, but I found it didn’t linger post wash and condition. If you really wet your hair before shampooing I also found a little went a long way. I usually get really bad dandruff when the weather changes and that didn’t really seem to be a problem this time around while I’ve been using this. Best thing is that it didn’t feel like it was stripping my hair I do recommend it for those wanting something a little stronger then your grocery brands.

I've always struggled with dry patches and dandruff and have tried many different products but nothing has worked as well as this. My dry patches cleared up almost instantly and I have not had as much loose flakes throughout my hair. If you are looking for a dandruff product, this is it. The shampoo itself is thick and you don't need to use a lot of it. The smell is not off putting and but it is a little chemically. There is not fruity or floral scent. The scent could be off putting to some but the functionality of the shampoo is well worth it.

These shampoo has a slight menthol and mint scent. It has a thick texture and is orange in colour. The shampoo lathers perfect. It is so gentle and effective on scalp. The results were amazing after a couple of week use. It leaves the scalp clean and fresh. It gives relief to itchy scalp. I feel like the amount of dandruff has already reduced and my scalp feels a bit less oily. These shampoos are suitable for dry scalp and normal to oily scalp. I will highly recommend this to people looking to eliminate dandruff and itch. These shampoos are dermatologist tested. It is suitable for men and women.

I don’t have a dandruff problem but I do get an itchy scalp every now and then and was very excited to try this shampoo. First impression just by looking at the packaging it feels so clinical but in a good way. It looks like something you would buy from a clinic rather than at your local pharmacy or supermarket. So straight away you have high hopes. It lathers up quite nicely and cleans the hair very well. One thing that you can’t miss is the very strong scent - like a mens cologne. Would be nice if it was less scented and less masculine smelling. Other than that, it did what it was meant to and no complaints. Only reason for not purchasing this again is not wanting to smell like a man.

I have tried many shampoos and this has been the best so far. Within the first wash I could already see 90% removal of dandruff. By the 2nd use it all dandruff has disappeared. My hair though dandruff free, felt a bit dry on the scalp after use. However it also gave me great volume in the hair. The shampoo feels luxuriously soft and creamy with a subtle scent. The packaging and bottle doesn't look attractive and kinda scared me as it looks like a science/ medicinal bottle. But fear not its only packaging and what matters it the shampoo works as says.

I like it a lot, it smells like fresh off the shower mens perfume. Not sure if that makes sense but it's the best! Next, it soothes the scalp and my dry and flaky scalp improved and no more flakes flying around or in my shirt. I also appreciate that it bubbles as it makes me feel that my scalp is really cleansed compared to those who does not. The price point though im not really sure, if it goes on sale probably will and the packaging looks like a medication than a shampoo in my opinion, thus the minus on the stars. Nevertheless, will definitely recommend!

Because of this I wash my hair twice a week to help with the dryness. Towards the end of the wash cycle, I find that I get dandruff - my scalp becomes flakey and itchy. I have tried using other anti-dandruff shampoos in the past but I find that they can be harsh on my dry hair. The other issue with most other medicated anti-dandruff shampoo is that they have a very strong smell. This shampoo has a scent that reminds me of medicated anti-dandruff shampoos but isn't as strong, which is great. It's worth noting that if you haven't used anti-dandruff shampoos before it might be off-putting. They can also be quite harsh on hair. After a few weeks of use, I found that my scalp has less flakiness and itchiness. I also didn't find that it compromised my hair by being overly drying. This product has been great, I used anti-dandruff shampoos more like a treatment and will be switching back to my normal shampoo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reduced dandruff significantly with continued use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent the DERCOS anti dandruff shampoo to trial for over a month. I generally wash my hair every 3 days or so and find that sometimes when I leave my hair unwashed for longer, dandruff starts to form which was when I used the shampoo. It worked a charm and reduced my dandruff however I find that it is best to use more frequently if you have a lot of dandruff, as it will reduce dandruff quicker than if you use it every 3 days or so (I assume the build up is heavier if you leave your hair unwashed for longer). The shampoo a bright citrus colour which surprised me as I've never used anything like it. I have black hair and didn't find that the colour of the shampoo impacted my hair colour which is great but those with lighter hair may need to be cautious. The smell wasn't alluring (I don't believe there are any added fragrances) so it's not like the scented shampoos you get in the supermarket but it's not bad. If you've used a medicated shampoo before, I would say this is comparable. Overall, a great product to reduce dandruff with continued use over a period of time. I found that this product didnt necessary dry out my hair but I definitely needed to use a conditioner after.

I have never heard of this brand but I was pretty intrigued and excited to test this out on my dry, bleach damaged and flakey hair. The bottle is fairly user friendly and looks quite professional. The shampoo itself has a fairly pleasant scent and lathers well, meaning a small amount of product does go far. It is recommended to use this product 2-3x a week as a dandruff treatment for extremely bad dandruff cases and then 1x per week to keep dandruff at bay after a 4 week treatment period. I didn't have extremely bad dandruff so I only used the product 1-2x per week, however I did see results in that period. My scalp has felt less flakey and, unlike other dandruff shampoos, it hasn't left my hair extremely dry. However, I would still follow up with a hair mask or conditioner for ultimate hair goals. I would recommend for those who suffer from dandruff or are looking for a dandruff treatment to use as a preventative without stripping their hair.

As much as I don't like having dandruff, I opt not to use any anti dandruff products as majority of the products that I have tried in tend to include harsh chemicals, which result in my hair and scalp becoming more dry as well as have my hair colour stripped. My experience with thia product was better than I had expected. The smell is there but it's not harsh or strong, my hair and scalp didn't feel dry and my hair colour wasn't stripped. My family also used the shampoo and felt the exact same. It is definitely a win and we will continue to use this product.

I have tried multiple anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner combos as well as specialised anti-dandruff serums, etc and nothing has worked quite as well as this product. I enjoyed being able to see my flaky dry scalp fade into something a lot nicer and healthier. This product has worked really well with my hair care routine also. It is noted that the smell is quite unusual but nothing too bad and definitely worth the use. I would repurchase this as it seems to work quite well with my hair type and texture.

I originally thought my dandruff was due to product build up, but clarifying shampoo was not helping. I had psoriasis like break outs that have cleared up over the last 4 weeks of using, in which I used clarifying shampoo followed by a second shampoo using the DERCOS shampoo, washing my hair twice a week, per my routine. I loved the relief this product brought my hair, loved the masculine scent, and my hair felt so soft and clean after washing and blow drying. The only con with my fine hair is I felt my ends were dry, probably due to shampooing twice, and my hair/scalp got oily quicker than usual, but I easily adapted with how much better my scalp felt after use.

Really happy to have tried this product and not have anywhere near as much issues in regards to drying. I did need to use abit of extra conditioner after using this product, but as someone with bleached hair, this was expected. The bottle is easy to use and the formula lathers nicely. My hair felt clean, soft and health after use and not overly dry or stripped, as can sometimes be the case with other anti-dandruff shampoos. The scent is fine - not obnoxious nor anything to write home about, but that suits me just fine. Despite its claims, while the shampoo effectively dealt with my dandruff flakes, my scalp was still itchy, even after continued use according to the instructions so that is why I have removed a star. I would recommend this product to those suffering from dandruff flakes and wanting a shampoo that can treat that issue while keeping the rest of your hair health and nourished.

In the past I’ve only use that other supermarket brand that is pretty well known but I think I will reach for this next time- it’s a bit pricier compared to that but I think worth the upgrade! My scalp and hair felt super soft and refreshed- I used it alongside my normal conditioner and think it worked well. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who is super blonde or platinum as the colour of this might almost act as a toner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been exclusively using this shampoo for over a month now and am happy to report that it’s a winner! I have dry and sensitive scalp that sometimes is itchy. My scalp can sometimes get oily and dirty quickly before the rest of my hair, so I often only use this shampoo alone without any conditioner. I loved that it lathered up well, and made my hair and scalp feel clean and fresh without over stripping my scalp or hair. I was able to go 2-3 days before needing to wash again, and it never weighed my hair down. It lost one star for me as even though it reduced some of my dandruff, it didn’t completely get rid of it all. There were still visible flakes. I can see some other reviewers commenting on the scent. Im normally quite sensitive to fragrances but didn’t feel this was too overpowering, and didn’t linger for long time after wash. However I would still highly recommend this product for anyone to try, esp at the price point.

I was a little skeptical at first in relation to the ability of the product to remove flaking, but I did notice a significant difference after using the product a few times. The feel of the product was great - not too thick at all, but also not too runny. Overall good consistency. The only reason I have given it four stars is because the smell of the product could have been a little nicer. It did smell a little bit medicinal, which I guess is to be expected for a dandruff shampoo. But I will definitely be purchasing this product in the future!

I followed instructions and use this once a week since flakes reduced. I found this product to have done as exactly as described as I now have little to no more flakes/dandruff any more! No more last minute washing of my hair before work due to flakes just by using this product. I found this product easy to use, lathered quite nicely in my hair, easy on the scalp (aka. not drying). The downside to this product was the smell, I found that the medical/chemical scent lingered for quite a long time. However, this is to be expected with medical treatment products! Would definitely purchase this product again! Very effective and works well for my scalp!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clarifying [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really happy to see an anti-dandruff shampoo in the market that combines two dandruff fighting ingredients - salicylic acid and selenium disulfide. This saves you having to choose just one that might work. The shampoo is a bright amber/orange/yellow colour and nice light texture. It lathers up really well and is easy to work into the scalp. It has a herbal, slightly minty smell (from menthol) which lingers in your hair after washing. I personally didn't notice and wasn't bothered by it, but friends and family could definitely smell it. While this particular version of the shampoo says it's for dry hair, I found it cleaned really well and would recommend it for oily scalp and hair as well. It didn't completely get rid of my dandruff in the 6 weeks I tried it but it did a good job of removing flakes in every wash so I'm keen to finish the bottle and see my results at the end.

At first I was skeptical, as someone who has dandruff an itchy scalp and psoriasis. However, after a couple of uses, I was able to see a difference!! It was a super soft product on my hair with amazing results for the itchiness and flakiness of my scalp, I was also super happy as it didn't irritate my Psoriasis. The scent is quite strong and to me it wasn't that bad, especially for a treatment product but my husband was not a big fan. The texture was rally nice and smooth and I didnt have a worry about it stripping my hair. after a couple of uses my hair was super soft and did not feel like it was being stripped of the good natural oils. Would 100% use again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dercos anti dandruff shampoo is one that I have been using for over a month now and from my experience it has been great for my hair and scalp. The bottle is easy to pour and I wasn’t expecting to see an orange, dark mustard coloured shampoo. The smell is not too bad but I would describe it as smelling more masculine. It almost reminds me of the men’s cologne aramis. Not the best fragrance but I can live with it. One thing I really like about this shampoo is that it lathers exceptionally well! It washes my hair thoroughly and I love how clean my hair and scalp feels right after. It won’t dry out your hair or scalp either but I noticed that I had less flakes than before and it wasn’t that itchy either. It’s gentle and doesn’t irritate my skin at all. It’s great for those who suffer from dandruff and/or have an itchy scalp!

I usually get alot of my flaking around my hair line, and would look in a mirror and see flakes, but since using that product I have noted that my flakes are gone! Also and added benefit, after using this shampoo, I noticed my hair had more volume in my roots !,One thing I did not love about the product was the scent, as it was very strong cologne smell, but I did notice the smell would fade after a day so wasn’t a big issue. I would recommend this to someone who’s is needing relief when it comes to a flaky scalp, I can not speak on if it helps with scalp itchiness as I don’t experience this.

I have never used an anti dandruff shampoo, so was excited to try this product. I have been using it for around 4 weeks now and have noticed that my scalp is much less flaky. The smell of the product is quite medicinal, but I'm told it is less so than other anti dandruff shampoos. I do not have experience using other anti dandruff shampoos, so cannot compare how well it works with others, but I am pleased with the results. It is a little more expensive than other shampoos but for the quality it is worth it. The size of the bottle is great and the packaging looks scientific and professional. It lathers nicely in my hair and leaves me feeling more confident that my scalp is not flaky. I would recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comforting for itchy, flaky scalp [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I get dandruff when I have been using too much product in my hair or even times when I am experiencing stress with work and life as I have been recently. This really helped to calm down and comfort my scalp, therefore, reducing the amount of dandruff I had. The smell is pleasant too and smells herbal-ly but nice - I've used dandruff shampoos where it just smelt too masculine or very unappealing. But this one was nice and not offensive as I am quite sensitive to fragrance and picky with scents! It also does not leave my hair dry and straw-like like other dandruff shampoos have done in the past. Overall effective dandruff shampoo and feels high quality and luxurious.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for a clean scalp and shiny hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this shampoo to be very nourishing for my hair, and I liked that it left my scalp feeling fresh and didn't dry out my hair like other anti-dandruff shampoos, but after a number of weeks, I still found that I had dandruff. I think it may have reduced it a little bit but I think that there are other brands that do a better job. I think this shampoo is great for clarifying and cleaning your scalp and removing product build-up. My hair felt so soft, shiny and clean afterwards. Overall I would recommend but not for serious dandruff.
