I’m very excited to try Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Skin Replenishing Water Gel. The gel moisture offers a long lasting 72 hours of hydration whilst packed with Hyaluronic Acid and Polyglutamic Acid to deliver that immediate hydration. It’s super cooling and light weight on my skin, I could really feel my skin taking a big drink from it. My skin felt supple, bouncy and full of hydration after wearing it all day. I use this morning and night to really get my skin feeling soft, smooth and hydrated. I’ve noticed a dramatic type in the texture of my skin over the last 3 weeks, I don’t have dry patches nor oily down my t zone anymore. This gel moisture is amazing and I’m truly happy with my results.

The product is lightweight and refreshing. It locks in moisture and makes my skin look hydrated all day long, which I have struggled to attain with other products. I have sensitive skin and I was very glad to learn that this product has technology built-in to protect sensitive skin. I experienced no irritation with this product. I use this product in conjunction with the Hydrating Foaming Cream Cleanser. They were the perfect 1-2 punch to eradicate dehydrated skin. I would recommend this product to family and friends.

My skin immediately feels smoother and hydrated upon application and it seals into the skin quickly, so an oil or moisturiser can be placed on top soon after, which is essential in the morning rush. This is great for sensitive skin, as it is refreshing andlightweight. The mask has a fresh aloe Vera smell to it and is a great price for hylaronic mask. A perfect addition to your day and night routine, I will definitely be purchasing this again.

Absolutely brilliant for hot summery days when everything and anything feels sticky but this one doesn't this gel is super lightweight and absorbed immediately by the skin. I have seen visible results on my skin. Can be used both night and day and I would highly recommend this product to everyone. Its cetaphil so its really good for sensitive skin too. Consistency is beautiful it doesn't feel heavy or greasy at all if you are looking for something that's light but effective on skin its a must try. It makes skin plump n hydrating and makeup sit beautifully on top of it too.

As we move between seasons this is great for those who prefer a lighter moisturiser. This water gel is a completely different consistency to a moisturiser, instead it’s light weight and looks and feels like water upon application. upon application it gives an instant hydration hit. It takes a little time to sink in, however once absorbed it left my skin feeling hydrated and lightweight. Over the course of the trial my skin has improved and I love applying this twice daily and sits really well under makeup.

A tiny bit goes really far so when applying you only need the littlest amount. When applying the gel it instantly made my skin feel hydrated and fresh. It absorbs quickly into the skin and spreads smoothly, It massages into the skin evenly and doesnt leave the skin feeling yucky or oily. Since using this product i have notice my face feels smoother and feels hydrated and fresh. Im impressed with the texture of the formula and I highly recommend this product. I work in harsh conditions and my face is left feeling dry, but one using a small amount of skin replenishing water gel my skins left feeling hydrated, light and moisturers. I enjoyed that it was fragrance free and the fact it nourish my face.

I have sensitive skin and this moisturiser was scentless, and absorbed into my skin almost instantly. I felt this was great as a moisturiser in summer, especially underneath makeup when i go out. I do apply extra sunscreen over - as there is no SPF in this product. At night time, i have tried this over a serum and it is great - and my skin felt hydrated, but slightly oily in the morning. The hydrating benefits are similar to a thicker moisturiser - and i definitely prefer this for night time use.

The texture is everything and the gel absorbs into your skin literally like water. It is easy to spread around and doesn't leave a sticky residue - it's literally like applying water to your face. I finally that my skin feels significantly softer after application and feels that way for a while. Whilst it does not provide as much hydration as cream products, I find that it's a good trade off because of the feel and ease to apply. If you have really dry skin - you may need something more moisturing. There is also little to no scent in this product which I love - for all my sensitive skin girlies! I would definitely repurchase this gel in the future.

The water gel has a thicker, more luxurious consistency (so more of a gel cream than water gel). It combines hyaluronic acid with PCA, both are excellent water binders to help water retention. Therefore, I have always used this gel on top of my toner and hydration serum. This water gel is effective in sealing moisture and provide extra water-binding properties. It is also fragrance free. In terms of texture, it is lovely but I prefer a slightly lighter texture for day use. This cream makes an excellent night cream for dehydrated skin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I trialled the Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Skin Replenishing Water Gel as part of the Beauty Crew. I found this water gel really lovely to use, it felt nice on my skin, and left me feeling hydrated. It didn’t pill under makeup, and felt sufficiently hydrating enough to use at night. When using it at night after Tretinoin, it was moisturising enough that there was no flaking/peeling post-Tret. I am 36 with normal skin, but feel like this water gel would suit all skin types and all ages. Despite trying it for free, I would purchase this when it is on sale at the supermarket. 8/10 would recommend!

At first I was a little bit disappointed at the amount (48 grams) as the packaging is a bit deceiving but once I started to use the product it was evident that you don’t need to use a lot of this product as it absorbs extremely well into the skin. The smell is lovely, not too strong or not too weak. The gel is smooth when applied to the skin and absorbs quickly. After using for just a few days I could tell the difference immediately which means it’s a great product for me.

The consistency is a water gel moisturiser and when applying on the skin it does absorb nicely. I was expecting it to leave a residue like other water gels i have used. Surprisingly not but your skin is left hydrated. Helped moisturised those areas of the skin i tend to get a bit dry as i have combination skin. No fragrance and is a milky coloured consistency. I would recommend trying for those who have sensitive skin and wants hydration.

The gel applies well, isn't sticky and does not have unpleasant perfumes. As someone with sensitive skin and psoriasis, I was surprised with how easily my dry areas cleared up and how my skin felt after using it. Great to prepare the face and go under make up in the morning but equally as good to pop on before bed after using Cetaphil Hydrating Foaming Cream Cleanser to clean off the days grime. Would definitely recommend!

The consistency is really unique, it feels like putting a very thick gel/almost jelly like substance on your skin, but that adds to the feeling that it is actively hydrating and plumping where it matters. I have a super dry forehead and eye area at the moment which leads to my skin looking older and more weathered, I have enjoyed being able to pop a layer of this on in the morning for an almost instant lift. Another lovely product from Cetaphil that I’ll continue to buy once it’s run out (great bottle with a premium feel too)

I usually have only one moisturiser that I use but after using the Cetaphil water gel, I finally have an affordable alternative! The gel absorbs really quickly into my skin, and it leaves the skin slightly tacky for a few minutes, which was perfect under my everyday make up. When it dried, my skin felt really smooth and looked hydrated, and a little went a really long way. It felt really refreshing, especially with the weather getting warmer. Also there is no smell so no worries about heavy scents and thus also enjoyed by my partner too!

It feels very light to apply to face and only a small amount is needed but it is extremely hydrating. I have sensitive skin and very dry skin and after using the product for a few weeks I have seen and felt an improvement in texture and appearance. I will continue to use the Cetaphil Water Gel (together with the Cetaphil Hydrating Foam Cleanser) each morning and night and would recommend to others with dry skin.

Sometimes I can find Cetaphil products underwhelming - they do what they claim but they don’t blow me away. I don’t have overalls sensitive skin but do reach for Cetaphil when I’m having skin irritations. Cetaphil is a queen of sensitive skin products. But this cream actually had me scraping every last drop of product out of the jar. It’s ultra hydrating and I feel like over the few weeks I’ve been using it, it has left my skin plumper, glowing and hydrated. It works well under makeup and while it is thick it still lets your skin breath. Will buy again and again!

It also super affordable and leaves your skin feeling moisturised, soft and smooth. It works really well in combination with the face wash. I have been using for 3 weeks now and have already noticed a difference in my skin. I have used a range of face moisturisers and have found this to be one of the better ones. At first I found it took some getting used to the slight stickiness of the moisturiser once first applying however, once dried (which is quickly) leaves your skin feeling amazing and continues to do so for the remainder of the day.

I received it as a part of a trial in conjunction with the foaming cream cleanser. I was sceptical at first as I normally go for the creamy moisturisers however the Ingredient list really hooked me. There is no smell and the packaging is really nice. The formula is a lovely slippery gel which soaks into my skin beautifully. There is no sticky or strange feeling after it dries. I did notice if I had applied too much that when i washed my face later in the day I could feel the product slippery on my skin, not a problem just an observation. Overall I will be recommending this product to friends who don't like creamy moisturisers and I will continue to use especially in the warm summer weather.

For reference I have normal to dry skin. I used this product morning and night for a month and noticed a noticeable improvement in the skin. My dry patches disappeared and my skin felt and looked supply and hydrated all day. Product wasn't to thick so wore well under make-up. On hot days I like to put the gel in the fridge as it's so refreshing and feel great especially after sun. Would highly recommend as is affordable and works well. The water gel formulation would also work well for oily skin types as is not greasy.

I tend to have dry skin, due to the weather and also being in an air conned office all day, and this product made my skin both instantly and long term feel and look super hydrated. It was light on my skin when applying and did not irritate my skin. It was so good that I even caught my “wash my face only as a skincare routine” boyfriend using these products. I overall would definitely recommend this product and combo to everyone looking for a super effective, hydrating, non-irritable and affordable water gel.

As my skin runs on the dry side, I am always looking for extra hydrating and this product hit the mark. Leaves the skin hydrated without clogging the pores. I also love typically of cetaphil that it is both oil and fragrance free. I found it can leave the skin slightly tacky after use but the dewiness I experience is worth it. Would highly recommend as a perfect no thrills moisturiser that is great for the skin and the bank.

The other product (which costs over $100 for the same amount) is now been replaced with this product. The texture is so smooth and when you apply it, you can feel the hydration without it being sticky. My skin feels so nice, plump and has a natural glow! I recommend this product to anyone wanting to give their skin a boost without the hefty pricetag.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best way to hydrate your skin during those awfully dry summer months! it really does what it says - it glides on very smooth and leaves you feeling very dewey and hydrated for a good few hours after. I am normally a traditional moisturiser girl myself, and I wouldnt normally go for a gel, but I'm really glad I was introduced - Cetaphil have really figured out this hydration challenge! I have been using this gel at morning time and nighttime as part of my regular skin routine and I can definately noticed a lighter and brighter skin as a result even after a few weeks of use. Best of all, you can find Cetaphil in most chemists, so its not a mad dash to buy quickly online if you need it!

I got this gel as a review and to provide an honest opinion. Everyone in my family saw me use this and wanted to try it too and now I need to buy one for everyone. Our skin feels soft and moisturised. Could be the gel consistency but it doesn’t leave the residual or sticky feel in the skin yet maintaining the moisture. Putting a foundation on top or going without makeup, my skin is loving it and I am getting plenty of compliments. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been trying out the Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Skin Replenishing Water Gel, and as someone who's familiar with the brand, but not a regular user of it, I have to say, I'm very impressed by this! This is marketed as a weightless, cooling, oil-free water gel that has been formulated with slow-release technology. It contains their exclusive HydroSensitiv™ Complex to boost the skin's water content, made up of hyaluronic acid, which has been paired with polyglutamic acid, and together, they can provide long-lasting hydration for up to 72 hours. This is also supposed to soothe and replenish dehydrated, irritated skin. This also contains vitamins B3 and B5, and it all comes in a snazzy little hefty jar with a metallic blue screw lid. For those who are sensitive to it, you'd be happy to know that this is fragrance free! While the jar is a decent size, you have to note that this only contains about 48g of product, which is not a lot, particularly when you keep in mind that this retails for about $35, but thankfully, Cetaphil is one of those brands that you can often find on sale somewhere, as it is quite a popular household name is is easily available at multiple retailers. So, how does this actually perform? This does live up to having a gel-like texture, which is incredibly light, and I can comfortably wear this both under my makeup during the day, and at night as my night cream, which has been particularly great when it's been warm. It also definitely doesn't have a discernible fragrance, and once you apply this on your skin and it dries down, it doesn't leave a greasy feel to it, or anything on the surface. It's just kinda like you're not wearing anything on your skin at all! That is, until you wash it off, and you can feel that there is some skincare coming off your skin. I love this! It is a surprisingly amazing find, and one that I'm almost at the end of, given that I have been using this twice daily, and it's actually quite a small jar. You can certainly still use a serum with this, especially if you're looking to target something specific, but if you're a regular hyaluronic acid user, then this would certainly have you covered.

The moisturiser is light, and feels so hydrating on the skin. Like most Cetaphil products, the scent is non-existent and it melts into your skin. Honestly feels like a much more expensive product. Sometimes you want a thick moisturiser that sits on the skin and you can feel absorb, but this product is great for everyday over serum and under makeup & sunscreen. I have not experienced any piling whatsoever, it really is a great light moisturiser that my skin is soaking up!

I used this product with the Foaming Crean cleanser from the same range and they are magnificent. My skin felt amazing after using them. I have really dry skin usually and this product helped my skin feel really hydrated and not gross when you put it in, I really liked the consistency and it is great value for money. I love all the products I have used from Cetaphil. Will definitely be purchasing as my regular moisturiser with the cleanser.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hydrating [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed trying the Cetaphil Optimal Hydration Skin Replenishing Water Gel. First impressions- the packaging was simple but eye catching and informative. It was my first experience with a ‘water gel’ so I wasn’t sure what to expect, using just your usual type moisturiser creams in the past, so the consistency of the product shocked me a little. Turns out I love it. Possible due to the thinner consistency, A little bit goes a long way and it has a lovely feel to it when applying. I liked that it was suitable for sensitive skin and I didn’t experience the stinging sensation/redness I have had in the past from other products. It absorbed well and My skin was left feeling soft, refreshed and hydrated and I didn’t experience any issues when applying make-up over the top of it. Overall, I think that this product is great and, as long as the results continue, I’ll continue to use.
