Benzac Microbiome Equalising Moisturiser is a rebalancing daily moisturiser for breakout-prone skin, specially developed to soothe skin irritation and discomfort, instantly hydrate and retain moisture for 24 hours. With probiotic-derived technology, this non-comedogenic moisturiser maintains the skin's natural pH to help preserve its microbiome and reduce the appearance of spots. My skin texture after applying felt so soft, and it sunk into my skin without making it look oily afterwards. It has a nice smell that isn't too chemically like other acne moisturisers I've used.

It's light but keeps my face hydrated all day without making my T-zone oilier. Since using it, my skin seems more balanced, fewer breakouts and less redness than before. The texture sinks in quickly and doesn't pill under sunscreen, which i found is actually pretty rare for acne-friendly moisturisers. The tube is ok for the price, but it lasts.

Because I have sensitive skin, it does not create any redness or itch. I’ve found that it is lightweight and absorbs rapidly, making it great underneath my makeup during the day. The only downside is that the scent is a little stronger than my usual products but it’s tolerable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not an everyday staple for me due to the ingredien [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m giving this moisturizer three stars only because of its rating on the Yuka app, which shows the ingredients leaning towards the “poor” side. While that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad by Australian standards, I personally feel a bit hesitant to use products frequently when their rating isn’t closer to the “good” end of the scale. That said, I did give it a couple of tries and was pleasantly surprised. It’s definitely soothing when applied — I noticed a nice calming effect on my skin right away. Over the past 48 hours, I’ve used it a few times, and I do feel like my skin is a bit more hydrated and has a subtle, healthy-looking gloss. Even though I won’t be using this daily, I do plan to keep it in rotation and use it weekly. It’s a nice product — just not an everyday staple for me due to the ingredient concerns.
