What are hair bonds?

Hair Bonds are protein chains found in the inner most part of the hair, the cortex. When hair is submitted to stress from colouring, styling or simply just brushing these hair bonds can break causing deep damage.

How do you treat broken hair bonds?

Elvive Bond Repair contains Citric Acid which helps build inner broken hair bonds. The molecule is small enough to penetrate deep within the hair to give back its original strength.


When should I use Elvive Bond Repair?

Elvive Bond Repair works on all levels of damaged hair and all hair types. Start with the Bond Repair Pre-shampoo, by applying on damp hair and allowing it to sit for 5 minutes. It smelt great and washed out without residue. Used as a whole product line I have noticed a difference in my hair. Being a new Mum it's put up most of the day and I was finding the ends went dry and frizzy where my last colour was growing out. Since using this product I have noticed my ends are smoother, and less tangled. My whole hair has a better shine and brushes easier. Even my partner noticed that it was smelling great and feeling nicer!

After using for a few weeks my hair already feels stronger, smoother and a lot healthier. It's much more manageable and there is less hair on my hairbrush now. My hair is very long, goes all the way to my bottom. When I brushed it before, it felt like I was stretching my hair and it would sometimes snap. This product has really helped to stop all of that and make my hair feel a lot stronger. When I use all of the Elvive Bond Repair products together it feels like I've just come from a salon. I feel pampered and rejuvenated. I would definitely recommend using it!

I could feel & see a noticeable difference in my hair from the very first wash. I usually need to wash my hair everyday due to oil build up, but I was able to extend that to every second or even third day with this shampoo. After using it for 2 weeks my hair looks so much healthier, is much softer and more manageable. The highlight for me though is the massive reduction in hair loss. I'm not sure if this is due to less breakage or healthier hair follicles, but I am very happy with the results. I used it in-conjunction with the pre-shampoo, conditioner & leave-in serum. I look forward to seeing just how good my hair can get with continued use.

It is hard to compare the shampoo on it's own because I did combine with the conditioner but both add moisture to ensure after blow drying my hair is prepped and ready to go. I put very fine and numerous foils through my hair every 10 weeks so my hair does get a beating. But the Bond Repair Shampoo left my hair light and frizz free.

The packaging looks very professional I love the way the light reflects on the silver part making little rainbows. The scent is similar to the pre-shampoo in this range but not as strong just a very light fruity/floral sort of smell. The shampoo is very creamy, lathers and spreads throughout the hair very easily but not too much suds. My scalp and hair felt much cleaner after using. The scent lingers a little leaving it smelling very refreshed. My hair is noticeably softer, smoother, and shinier so it looks and feels much healthier than it was. What I like most about this product is how refreshed it leaves you feeling, it feels like this shampoo is giving a thorough deep clean.

I usually use hair products suggested by my hairstylist - I've even dished out the moolah for k18, which I thought was O.K. However, this product exceeded my expectations substantially. I usually require 2 or more rounds of shampooing to feel like my hair is clean. This shampoo lathered beautifully and did not make my hair feel dry. Using this product along with the range made my hair significantly less frizzy (I'm usually looking like Hagrid from Harry Potter, to give you a visual) and made my curls look beautiful. I would highly recommend this range to anyone with damaged hair looking to repair it.

Since trialing this product, it's not until the third day that I feel I need to wash it, which is better for my hair overall. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You don't need much to cause enough foam to wash your whole hair, half to a quarter less than standard shampoo. It felt so luxurious in my hair, with a burst of citrus scent that mellowed into warm florals. It was gentle on my scalp, and after two washes I had no flaking scalp (despite the cold dry weather). It washed out easily, and my hair stayed clean for longer. There was a noticeable improvement in my hair's quality in the following days after the full treatment: less flyaway, no new split ends, and even a slight shade lighter than before. I felt like a millionaire after using these products, pampered as though with a full salon treatment.

The mixture was nice and thick and when washing my hair, it foamed up really nicely with only a small amount. After rinsing, my hair felt clean and smelt divine! I’m hoping that L’Oréal make a blonde shampoo version of this formula so I don’t need to add toner separately but definitely enjoyed using this shampoo. Highly recommend it!
