General Information

Swisse Skincare Vitamin C 5% Niacinamide 5% Brightening Day Cream contains a scientifically formulated, synergistic blend of actives designed to target dark spots and uneven skin tone. Delivering advanced pigmentation correction, this lightweight, brightening moisturiser contains stabilised vitamin C 5% and SYNBRIGHT®, a unique power combination of niacinamide 5% and N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine 2%. Suitable for everyday use, the formulation delivers deep hydration and antioxidant protection for a brighter, more radiant complexion.

Directions

My skin has been going through changes with child birth and soon to be peri-menopause so I'm finding that I'm getting more dark spots and dry, uneven skin tones. I was keen to try this cream. I found that my skin improved with regular application in only a matter of weeks! I'm happy with the results and will continue to use this cream.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use for a simple beauty regieme [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I’m getting up to that magical age (the big 40), I’m noticing a lot of changes in my skin and these concerns are increasing. I have found pigmentation around my cheeks that looks like a beard, so understandably I’m looking for a product to help and QUICK. I used this with the complimenting booster serum and found they work excellent hand in hand. I prefer to use all products from the same brand to ensure the ingredients work well together. I found it definitely helped the results and saw a reduction in pigmentation which I believe will decrease even more with time and continued use. Easy to apply, light aroma, absorbed perfectly and didn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or sticky. I found it really easy to introduce both products into my simple and quick beauty regime. Overall I was quite happy especially for a budget product.

This is a non-breakable, pump container that’s boy-proof to use & it seems to be helping his dark marks & PIE/ red acne marks to fade. Will continue & monitor his progress.

I definitely didn't like it's very chemical like smell though and it's quite strong on application. The cream is very nourishing and does seem to brighten up the skin tone but haven't seen too much of a reduction on dark spots yet. Maybe with a longer period of use it will show.

The day cream is not too thick, and actually is on the rather light side, and I love that it makes my skin feel smooth and it helps in making my skin look more radiant. This is lightly citrus scented, which is quite pleasant. I wouldn’t say that I’ve had much success with this reducing the appearance of dark spots, but I will say that it seems to have helped with making dull skin look brighter!

I have quite dark pigmentation on my forehead, uneven skin tone and some fine lines. I used both the Brightening Day Cream & Brightening Booster Serum together daily for 2 weeks and I’ve noticed an improvement in the brightness of my skin, reduced darkness of pigmentation in areas along with my skin feeling much more plump. The serum and cream don’t particularly have a scent they’re very neutral which I prefer. It goes on loves and soaks in easily. I’m really happy with the results and will continue using both products together daily. I was gifted these items to trail and review.

I love a hydrating day cream, and this one in particular because it has skin-plumping niacinamide and vitamin C. Not only has it reduced the appearance of my sun spots and fine lines but it has also made my sensitive skin look a lot clearer and less red. Although it's called a cream, it's more of a light-weight gel and It has a slight marmalade scent. I didn't like this at first but I got used to it as I was so pleased with how good this product made my skin look.

It also acted as a great base for my makeup. It's really hydrating and my skin felt instantly plumped, reducing the appearance of fine lines. In the battle against dryness and hyperpigmentation its key. I use a C Serum on my face every day as the first step, and liked layering this Brightening Day Cream on top. Its a good size bottle and the cream itself is lush but not heavy. Absorbs fast and sits well under my SPF and make up. Dryer types may need more hydration but this is great for the price.

However, I haven’t noticed much of an improvement in pigmentation and dark spots. A longer trial of the cream may improve these targets but I haven’t noticed a difference yet. I like how you can pump as much as you like out, which prevents waste. The consistency of the cream is more like a lotion and feels lighter than a cream and sits nicely under makeup. I was gifted a product to trial and review.

I can’t say I saw great results at first but it did improve. I have started to see my skin look smoother and brighter. I didn’t like the smell, I found it a little strange. I’m not going to say I don’t like the cream it’s just don’t a favourite of mine yet. I am not sure if I would buy again. I will continue to use and hopefully I change my mind and love it more.

Although the serum absorption rate was lovely and quick, the day cream didn’t quite hit the mark for me. I’ve found that this day cream would leave an oily, heavy residue for the better half of the day – making it difficult to work with make-up. Regardless, I’ve did indeed notice that working in tandem with the serum my skin did become noticeably brighter over time.

I like the creamy and light texture and it goes on well without any stinging. My freckles have faded a little but, with winter now upon us, I do feel I would need a more moisturising cream to combat the dryness. I do have sensitive skin and I have not felt any side effects from using this, which is a huge plus.
