General Information

Scholl Fungal Nail Treatment has been specially designed to treat fungal nail infections and protecting from reoccurrences.

The patented file dispenser houses 5 disposable files which remove surface of the infected nail plate, reducing thickness, improving appearance and aiding penetration of treatment.

The treatment liquid softens the nail, creates an inhospitable environment  in which the fungus cannot grow, and creates a barrier to reduce the spread of infection.

Apply the advanced liquid to the infected nail once a week until the area of discolouration has grown out. The formula will continue to work between applications and continue to create an environment where fungi cannot survive.

I understand it is a slow process but in 4 weeks I have noticed a difference even though the photo's don't show it as much.

But for mild fungus it works well. Time will tell if it continues to work and if the fungus is gone for good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product itself was effective and easy to use, and the enclosed nail files are a great idea. However, I thought the slide-out delivery for the files was a bit over-engineered, especially as I managed to break it in the second week and had to pull the white top off to get the files out anyway! Thanks for letting me trial this product...my feet are now ready for summer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was unsure how this liquid would sink into my thick gross nails and have any impact, but the filing sticks are genius. I think just the routine of doing this once a week to my nails has caused a reduction in the thickness of them. Then adding the liquid on top, it feels like it has really started to penetrate. The colour seems less yellow and murky but appears clearer and lighter. I will certainly keep doing it. Perhaps supply a refill pack of 10 files in the box as well and then you would be set.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Growing healthy toenails. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can see a definite improvement in the condition of my toenail. I can see less vertical lines in my nail and the bottom half of the toenail shows a slight improvement in colour from yellow to white. I loved the little dispenser for the little files however it didn't always dispense easily and I needed to continually press the slider up and down, if this is a common problem it may be better to simply have the files individually wrapped. I will continue to use the product until it is finished and the toenail will show more improvement.

Easy to use, came as a complete kit with brush applicator and 5 disposable nail files. Applied once a day for 4 weeks.

The fungus under the toenail has led the toenail from the skin so its hard to tell if the fungus has completely gone. I'm now waiting for the toenail to grow to see if thr treatment has killed the fungus.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unique & funky fungal nail treatment kit [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was very easy to use with inbuilt disposable nail files included in a compact dispenser together with the solution. i only have the fungal problem on 2 of my toes which are next to each other so applied to both of these daily for a month which is the treatment phase. Filing the surface of nail prior to applying liquid helps with absorption.After this you need to continue with treatment for 9 months but only once a week rather than every day. My main problem was with one toe which had very thickened nail & growth beneath it as well as some discolouration & i have tried a variety of treatments before which had not helped. With this product I feel that discolouration has reduced & the nail was much easier to cut & is not as thickened so it has been successful in helping reduce the fungal infection. I will continue to use for the 9 month protection phase to hopefully clear it up completely as it requires persistence. It is quite expensive but worth the cost I believe.

I tried scholl fungal treatment, and found it pretty good. It made a slight improvement to the nail area, although maybe longer treatment would have shown a better result. The nail bed became slightly less thick and the nail bed a little whiter.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from a bit of a con - conction The main ingredient in this concoction is an antioxidant cinnamate that stops the discolouration of the nail. Citrate and urea are not proven antifungal agents but help softening the nail and aid diffusion of the cinnamate. You get rid of the discolouration but not of the nail thickening and the fungus. Use antifungal cream or tincture with proven efficacy with the Scholl stuff otherwise it will not get rid of the fungus.

Had just enough left for the month. But I wouldn't py the retail for item that is so easy to spill and tip. The emery was good, maybe having the two sections separate with spill proof applicator, would have loved to have seen some improvement in the month.

I did point out that product is meant to be used for approximately 9 months so perhaps with continued use more visible results would be apparent. I did like the all in one packaging with the little nail files included with the product. I believe these products are quite expensive so I think I would prefer to have seen some noticeable results before committing to long term use.

But I have noticed no improvement in the colour or texture of my nail. I find it difficult to see how a topical application will improve a fungal infection under the nail.
