General Information

Dermatological hydrating repair serum for dry, sensitive skin.

The Cicaplast B5 Ultra Repair Serum is La Roche Posay's first dermatological serum with 10% Vitamin B5. With an efficient hydrating formula, the Cicaplast B5 Ultra Repair Serum has been specifically developed for dry skin prone to redness, skin tightness or discomfort. When used daily, the dry skin serum helps to hydrate and maintain the skin moisture barrier. Enriched with a highly concentrated humectant Vitamin B5 to help increase hydration and reduce trans-epidermal water loss, the skin repair serum formula also contains HEPES to help stimulate skin renewal, reinforce the moisture barrier, and comfort skin. The formula includes ingredients that are known to support the skin against everyday environmental aggressors like air pollution, temperature changes, low humidity and dryness. It also helps with topical irritations such as over-use of active ingredients and superficial skin procedures. The combination of hydrating and repair ingredients is also beneficial for skin impacted by lifestyle changes (lack of sleep, stress, poor diet). • La Roche-Posay have formulated this Cicaplast serum for dry and sensitive skin, however it is ideal to use on all skin types. • Use the skin repair serum daily for best results. • Suitable for use on post-superficial skin procedures on face. The La Roche-Posay Cicaplast serum for dry skin has been dermatologically tested to ensure suitability of the serum for sensitive skin types. The formula is hypoallergenic, fragrance free and non-comedogenic making it suitable for all skin types that need the added hydration and skin moisture barrier support. TEXTURE The Cicaplast B5 Repair Serum Is: • Lightweight • Fast absorbing • Non-sticky finish • Silky and Non-greasy texture Please note, the skin repair serum forms a protective film on the skin upon application, however, can ensure a non-sticky lightweight feel to the skin. KEY INGREDIENTS Repairing - 10% Vitamin B5 - Also known as Panthenol, Vitamin B5 is a humectant that attracts moisture from its surroundings and is able to lock in moisture within the skin. Vitamin B5 for skin is used to help support and maintain the skin moisture barrier. Due to its capability to attract and retain moisture, using Vitamin B5 helps soften skin, keeping it moist and helps prevent dryness. Vitamin B5 supports the skin moisture barrier through hydration, and reduces trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL), helping to reduce dryness and associated itchiness and discomfort. 10% Vitamin B5 has been added to the repair serum formula to hydrate and repair dry sensitive skin. Refining - HEPES - HEPES helps to gently exfoliate dead skin cells that are bound to the surface of the skin, refining clogged pores and uneven texture resulting in a smoother skin texture. HEPES has been used in the formulation to help even skin tone and refine skin texture. Soothing - Aqua Posae Filiformis (APF) - This prebiotic skincare is used to help rebalance the skin microbiome.

Directions

HOW TO USE:

- Apply 1-2 drops of this serum for dry, sensitive skin both morning and evening on face and neck on freshly cleansed face and before moisturiser.
- Gently press onto the face and neck until the serum is fully absorbed
- Avoid repeatedly massaging the face serum in circles.
- Wait at least 30 seconds before applying other skincare products.
- If using highly active ingredients in skincare routine:
- Regularly use (Skin with tolerance) - use cicaplast B5 serum last.
-Starting to use (building up tolerance) - use cicaplast B5 serum first


RECOMMENDED DAILY SKINCARE ROUTINE WITH THE CICAPLAST B5 SERUM:
For best results for hydrating skin repair and protection, use the products in the order listed below:

1. Toleriane Gentle Cream Dermo Cleanser, to gently cleanse face.
2. Cicaplast B5 Facial Sheet Mask, to kick start skin hydration or use weekly for regular hydration boost
3. Cicaplast B5 Serum for skin moisture barrier repair.
4. Anthelios Invisible Fluid Facial Sunscreen SPF50+, to protect the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft and Hydrated Skin I have been using the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5 Serum as part of my skincare routine for the last few months morning and night after cleansing my skin. Using the pipette that comes with the serum separately then doubles as the lid I draw up enough to disperse 1-2 drops and gently massage it into my skin. The serum is cloudy white in colour, there is a mild scent and it is lightweight in consistency it absorbs beautifully (it isn’t sticky) and quickly leaving my skin feel soft and hydrated. I only had to wait 30 seconds or so before following with my day or night moisturiser. My skin feels so much softer, it feels and is visibly much more hydrated and moisturised then it was before using this serum. I am eager to see after prolonged use if it will provide any any further results for my skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hydrated and Flake Free Skin Like most people after winter my skin was in need of some tlc. In and out of heating my skin had been dry and in some spots flaky. After cleansing my skin morning and evening I then applied a couple of drops of the serum using the dropper provided to the palms of my hands and gentle pressed it into my skin. The serum is white in colour and lightweight, my skin soaked it right up and my skin didn’t feel tacky afterwards. My skin felt as if it was instantly comforted and hydrated and as each day passes I have noticed less flakes, a more smooth and softer appearance and well moisturised skin. I would recommend this for all skin types as I believe everyone could benefit from a serum like this.

Hands down, this product is one of the best serums that I have tried (and I have tried a lot, all oil based). La Roche Posay Serum is silky in texture, requires so little of the product to cover a generous area, is easily absorbed into the skin (Normal to perimenopausal skin type) and it feels just beautiful. I found my skin was able to breathe more effectively and it did not make my skin care routine feel thick after adding the layers (La Roche Posay Serum, my normal moisturiser, eye cream and BB Cream at the end. One slight negative was the syringe. I could not suck up any of the product. However, this was no issue at all in fact I liked it better just having to wipe my finger over the plastic tube. I got the right amount and didn't have to waste time having to get the product from the tube. One fantastic result I found, was that my redness that I have been experiencing for the last years is gone!!!! This has been the only change in my routine, so the results spoke for themselves. I would highly recommend this product for perimenopausal or sensitive skin. I would most definitely purchase this again.

Let me start by saying I am a massive fan of La Roche-Posay products, however, this is one I have not previously purchased. I have dry, ageing, sensitive skin that is in constant need of hydration. I found the serum to be easy to use, packaged in glass (fabulous) and best to spritz prior to help lock in the moisture. This product is also great as a primer as it absorbs well with no residue or tackiness. The texture is silky, lightweight and minimal fragrance. Ingredients list reads nicely and can be used morning or night. My skin reacted nicely and felt very hydrated, smooth and no irritation. I will be continuing to use Cicaplast B5 Ultra Repair Serum and will be likely to re-purchase.

My skin has been way too dry lately, for whatever reason and I'm looking for something that will plump it up again. I've been using this Cicaplast B5 three or four times a week and I can see it's helping. I even had someone comment that my skin is looking very good this week which was awesome. I found that the serum absorbs very quickly, which I like. There is no smell and the consistency is not very oily, more like a milky liquid so no residual feeling in the skin which is a plus for me, as I don't like the residual feeling of some skin care. I will definitely buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helped my facial psoriasis [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have found it hard in the past to find something that will moisturise my facial psoriasis without making the rest of my face greasy or affect the sensitive, sometimes cracked skin. I now have found my new favourite beauty product. The La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5 Serum comes in a white bottle with pipette dropper lid, the actual serum is a clearish colour, I did notice a slight smell that didn’t last long once applied and it’s quite thick so you only need a couple of drops. It absorbs quickly, leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth without being greasy. I don’t really like the pipette lid dropper though as the serum is hard to get out of it. I used this serum for two weeks, morning and night, and it’s reduced the redness, dry patches and the skin is healing. I’ll continue to buy this product, it’s fantastic!

My skin is quite dry and using this made my skin very hydrated and soft. It’s not greasy, not oily or heavy. I hadn’t use this brand before but it’s totally worth the hype. I noticed my fine lines were less visible after two weeks of use. It absorbs well into my skin and felt firmer. It also left my skin glowing. My friends noticed the difference already and I recommended they try it. It’s affordable and effective. Costs less than other high end serums that are more expensive.

This serum was no exception. I have acne prone but dry dehydrated skin. I have to be careful as a lot of products do break me out but I do need hydration as the skin is dry. I was pleased to receive this as part of bh trial team. The product is in standard serum size but 3 drops should suffice for the whole face. It doesn’t have any strong scents and it is clear and quick to absorb. Glass bottle with a dropper lid. After a few weeks of using the product, I have found that it does a good job in boosting hydration. It has not broken my out at all and I like the feel of my skin in morning when I wake up. I have only been using it in the evening only as I do not know what it’s like under make up. For winter, I think I would be brave enough to do night and day. Over all, I think it’s a fantastic product. My skin feels nice and plump. No other dramatic changes from what I can see but perhaps after prolonged use, there will be most visible benefits.

My skin was red, dry, and sore after a week in bright sun, wind and with extreme sun exposure. I used the Cicaplast B5 serum in the morning after cleansing, and before moisturiser and sunscreen. I also used the serum in the evening after cleansing and before retinol and a heavier night time moisturiser. The serum absorbed straight away and within 2 days the redness had faded significantly as well as hydrating my skin effectively with less fine lines. My skin had been slightly burnt around my nose so the serum worked wonderfully to calm that skin down. I absolutely loved using this serum, the only issue was the dropper was difficult to use and didn't seem to draw much serum up. I ended up taking serum from the outside of the dropper as it would make a mess when placing it back into the bottle.

For context, I have dry, sensitive skin, which is prone to eczema and flakiness. A tiny amount of this serum works so well to soften and smooth my skin. I love to use this in the mornings, before my day SPF moisturiser, as it leaves a lovely canvas for my makeup. I find that it keeps my skin moisturised all day long, without feeling greasy or sticky. I feel like it is also making my skin more resilient and less prone to irritation, but will continue to use it for a few more weeks to see if the effects last long term. I absolutely love this product and will be trying La Roche Posay’s other Cicaplast products in future!

I normally have combination skin, however, lately my skin has become very dry so I was pretty excited to trial this serum. I found the Cicaplast B5 Ultra Repair serum to be lightweight and absorbed very well. It didn’t leave any tackiness or residue which I was very happy with. After application my skin felt soft, supple and very hydrated. With continued use it feels soothed and a lot calmer than it has for a while now. The moisture levels of my skin have begun to return back to what it usually is and the redness and irritation has begun to subside. Overall I’m pretty pleased with the results and I will continue to use this product.

It comes in a bottle. It has a drop applicator making it easy to dispense the right amount of serum needed, and apply to the face. The texture is very light on the skin. The serum absorbs quickly and there is no greasy residue. As soon as I apply it, I can feel the serum start to soothe and hydrate my skin. You can use it morning and night. I love to apply in the morning so my face is soothed all day. Having used the serum for a while now I have noticed an improvement in my skin. My skin is easily irritated but the serum has helped calm it down. It feels much more hydrated, and overall has a nicer healthier glow to it. I always have high standards for La Roche Posay, and this serum has lived up to expectations. I love this serum.

The serum is made for sensitive skin and suitable for daily use. The serum is made in france and is a 30ml bottle with eye dropper to give a lovely small dosage amount. I cleansed my skin then applied the serum my dry skin felt tighter smoother and the redness was gone. My daughter tried it too and loved the smell and softer forehead. My nursing colleges asked what my new skin regime was I was pretty much selling the serum at work. Thank you for the opportunity to trial this serum.

Never use this kind of ingredients before as i have dry sensitive skin. I give a try and it really work for my skin. It has some fragrance that i dont really like but i dont mind it as it very very subtle. I like the consistency. It absorb easily and light feeling. A bit sticky after apply but not worry me at all. I can feel my skin smoother, moist and plump without any redness at all. The one that i dislike is the dropper too big for the bottle. Hard to get the serum but overall, i highly recommended it. I definitely gonna purchase it again.

It arrived at the perfect time as my skin was in the middle of a horrible sensitive phase and I was only using very gentle skincare (namely the rest of the Ciciaplast range). Unsurprisingly, the Cicaplast Serum did not disappoint. It's as good as I thought it would be. If you have dry, sensitive and irritated skin, you need this in your life. It's gentle, hydrating and soothing on red, irritated skin. The serum is light, absorbs quickly and works well under skincare and makeup. I used this twice a day and after three days my skin was looking and feeling a lot better. After seven days my skin was no longer irritated. This will be a permanent part of my skin care routine from now on.

La Roche Posay Cicaplast B5 Ultra Repair Serum contains 10% Vitamin B5,which claims to reduce water loss and hydrate the skin. The bottle comes with a dropper is easy to use and perfectly measured. It is milky looking and feels smooth and silky to touch not sticky and easily absorbed with my dry skin. I love products that aren't fragranced so they are more suitable for all skin types especially those with sensitive skin. I definitely feel like my skin has benefited from adding this product to my skincare routine. It looks brighter and more hydrated. I loved La Roche Posay Cicaplast B5 serum and would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

This is my first La Roche-Posay product and I completely understand why it has such a following. For me, this is can easily replace the Estee Lauder advanced serum, and at a cheaper price! I use it both in morning and evening. It is instantly moisturising, doesn't leave a weird film like other serums. I started using this in conjunction with the La Roche-Posay Effeclar serum and the combination is unbeatable. Cannot recommend highly enough!

This Cicaplast B5 Serum really delivers the result as what it promised on my dry and sensitive skin. Made in France in a 30ml glass bottle with a pipette dropper, this product contains 10% of Vitamin B5 with La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water which helps a lot with my skin to retain moisture and also help with my skin renewal. I use it twice a day, morning & evening for the past few weeks. I love the non-sticky texture of the product. I usually have some flaky skin during winter but after using this serum the flaky skin is gone and my skin is so smooth now. The product itself absorb easily once applied on my skin and leave my skin feel smooth, less sensitive and stays hydrated throughout the whole day. I would recommend this to anyone who have dry and flaky skin to use especially during the cold weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hydrating serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this serum for around 2 weeks now and it definitely works! I have been using it day and night, dispensing 2 drops from the pipette in my hand, and then rubbing it between my hands and applying it in a Payton motion, until it is fully absorbed. I then follow it with my other serums, moisturiser for night time and sunscreen for during the day. The bottle is cute and because it is opaque, the product within is protected. Which is fantastic, to preserve the formula and maintain the integrity of the serum within the bottle. I am not a fan of the pipette, I am not a chemist and having that as my allocator really annoys me, because the serum is quite thick, it is difficult to suck it up into the pipette and then you can only dispense one droplet at a time, because the serum is so thick, which then leads to the issue of the serum spilling down the sides of the bottle because the opening of the bottle is so narrow and the serum sticks to the sides of the pipette which then gathers at the mouth of the opening and then slides outside of the bottle causing me to lose a decent amount of the product. I would have preferred for the bottle to be either a squeeze tube or a pump, because dispensing would have been easier and less messy and less product would have been lost. Other than the above, it’s a really nice feeling serum, the texture is quite smooth and easily absorbed into the skin, works well with my other skincare and maintains my hydration levels during the day and night when I’m using it. I would definitely repurchase this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hydrating Serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5 Serum from beautyheavens’s trial team. The serum comes with a seperate pipette/lid in the box, I took off the little screw off lid then replaced it with the pipette lid (probably could have done without this step I’m not sure of the purpose just seems like a waste to me) after cleansing morning and night I used this for both I applied around a 5 cent piece to my fingertips then massaged it well into my neck and neck. The serum is white/clear in colour, it has a scent I’m not sure what it is but it is quite unusual I have not smelt something like this before it isn’t sweet or light but it also doesn’t linger so it’s ok for a few moments. The serum absorbed really quickly and well into my skin and wasn’t sticky. I then followed with my moisturiser and spf plus tinted moisturiser in the day and found it all worked well together. After using this over the last 3 weeks my skin is more hydrated then it was, some dry spots I have have diminished and because it is nice and hydrated it appears more calm too. I would recommend this serum for a boost of hydration to your skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Noticeable improvements [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my very first trial from Beauty Heaven and I was super excited about it because I haven't bought a product from La Roche-Posay before. Even though the texture of the serum is thick it's very light on the skin. It doesn't feel heavy or greasy at all. It's cooling and comfortable and is very easily absorbed by my skin. It blends like a dream. I did notice that it has a smell even though it says it's fragrance free. The smell is very light though and it didn't cause any irritation to my skin. After about a week of using this serum I noticed how much softer my skin had become and noticed how effective it is at moisturising my skin and then after 2 more weeks I noticed my skin doesn't look dull anymore and looks extra youthful and smooth. I haven't had any breakouts since I started using this serum too which is amazing for me because I normally do have a few around my chin and jaw. I think this serum is fantastic because I was able to achieve some noticeable improvements to my skin in a short period of time.

Perfect for my sensitive skin and rewarding instant results on fine lines and long lasting throughout the whole day. The applicator was easy to use, dispensing a generous amount, the serum was non greasy and fragrant free. Non sticky to the touch, the serum was refreshing and cooling and with instant results especially with fine lines, around eyes, mouth and neck. Incorporated easily into my routine, used in replacement with a hydrating booster, no irritation to skin or eyes. Presented in a ceramic/glass bottle, the product looks and feels fresh. Even better is the price point, ranging at the lower end of similarly priced products.

This serum is fantastic as it absorbs into the skin instantly, so you don’t have to wait for it to dry before applying your moisturiser and finishing your everyday skincare routine in record time. At first It seemed to be a little pricey but when you don’t need to much of the serum you actually get value for your money. I found that this serum is easy to apply with only using a small amount, so my advice would be don’t use too much just use a small amount.It is definitely a product I’ll buy in the future.
