Directions

Apply the CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Serum for anti-wrinkles to freshly cleansed, dry skin, in small dots around your face.
Gently spread the retinol anti-ageing serum onto your skin until it's fully absorbed.
Retinol serums or other retinol based products are best used at night as this ingredient can increases skin sensitivity to the sun.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light weight formula [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the ingredients in skin renewing retinol serum. I usually use a Hyaluronic acid on its own, but I really liked the addition of the retinol. I really feel like my skin felt plumper and hydrated when using this serum with the CeraVe Night Cream. When I first used this, it was a bit tingly, so I mixed it in with the Night Cream and added more of the serum each time. I can use it on its own now without the tingling. Overall, I really like using this; the consistency of the serum is nice and there is scent. I like using this best after having a shower since my skin absorbs the serum a lot deeper and gives more long-lasting results. Definitely something I would repurchase.

As Im getting older, adding retinol to my skin care routine is extremely important and for good reasons! The product is fragrance free and after two weeks of consistent usage I feel some of lines have blurred out which is great! I use this product with the moisturizer and it's the perfect combo at night. My skin feels plump and firm when I wake up in the morning-- an essential especially for oily skin like mine. Would recommend! The pump is also very helpful and practical to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A gentle retinol product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I at in my mid 20s and live in a hot climate near the beach and with such high amounts of sun exposure, anti-aging skin products are very important to me. I like my skin products to let me skin breathe and to not be sticky during the day. I have used this CeraVe Skin renewing retinol serum every night for four weeks as part of my nightly skin care routine. I usually use this cream in the middle of my regimen and I am not an expert in skin care, it’s the just regimen that I have found works for my skin. First I use a cleanser twice then a spritz of glycolic acid spray, then the CeraVe skin renewing retinol serum, then a nicotinamide product, then the CeraVe night cream over my entire face and neck. It seems to all work well together and I wake up in the morning with nice, clear and plump skin. At first I saw the small tube and thought it was quite small, and that maybe it wouldn’t last very long. However I only use about a pea size every night, and after one month I have really used much. I am imagining it will last quite a few months. I chose to use this small amount as I find that its enough to cover my entire face and neck effectively. The serum itself is very smooth and moderately thick, more of a creamy texture than I expected with a serum (I am used to them being a little less viscous, a little less creamy and a little more sticky in consistency). Nevertheless, it was very smooth and went on to the skin beautifully. It didn’t make any of my other products pill or react weirdly with the other products and I have had occur with different products in the past. It absorbed quickly into the skin and didn’t leave any stickiness or residue. I found that the serum did not at all irritate my skin or give me any reactions. I usually don’t have sensitive skin though; however I would say this serum would be good for sensitive skin compared to other retinols as they can be notoriously irritating. I did trial a small amount of the product on my hand to ensure I got no reaction. I liked it because it also didn’t have any fragrances (at least that I could smell) or any strong colouring – it was just an off yellow colour and I think it just lets the ingredients speak for themselves. The tube itself consists of simple packaging with a little pump top. It allows you to easily control the amount of product to use. It probably is too soon to tell if it has had any anti-aging or anti-wrinkle effects (I would say four weeks is too soon to tell) but I will keep using this serum as part of my daily routine regardless in hopes of getting the long term benefits that come with using retinol products. I will continue using this product and would be happy to recommend it to friends and family!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for beginners and sensitive skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was quite surprised with this product I’ve been wanting to try out a retinol serum for awhile now after hearing about the amazing benefits I had some hesitation as I have very sensitive skin and have tried one retinol in the past that just didn’t work well with my skin but this actually didn’t irritate my skin at all I was very surprised the pump bottle is super easy to use one pump for all over the face the texture was a nice cream texture which was easy to spread I tired it with a couple different moisturisers to see how it worked and it seemed to pair well with all of them I’ve used it for a month every night and my skin definitely looks smoother and more even I fine it helped with texture I did make sure to use spf as I read that retinol can make your skin more sensitive to the sun so just keep that in mind if you are using it but overall I found it a nice serum will definitely keep using it to see the full results this would be perfect for a beginner or anyone that struggle with sensitive skin

Overall I was very impressed with this product! It comes packaged with a handy pump dispenser, which I find minimises waste compared to squeeze tube retinoids I have used previously. I also love that this Retinol is formulated with ceramides and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and calm the skin, which seemed to dispel a lot of the usual dry and irritated skin side-effects I usually experience with retinols. I also really liked that niacinamide is part of this formulation as it saves me that extra time in the morning, with no need to layer them separately. I used this retinol in conjunction with the rest of the Skin Renewing range, which included a vit C and night cream. I used these products for 3-4 weeks and have been very impressed with the results, having brighter, clearer and more even skin. Would recommend to others!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love me a great Retinol...I adored being part of this trial and was ecstatic to be trying a new retinol brand. Some retinols are immediate red flags and dry out my skin so bad. Used in partnership with the night creme it was the perfect pairing, with the best results. I'm not a huge fan of the pump as I hate when it is difficult to get the last of the product out of the container but I can appreciate the ease of getting a perfect amount per application. I love that it is fragrance free so the brand can't mask any nasty ingredients. I also appreciated the no fuss presention with easy to use packaging. It is a great price point so I would definitely buy and recommend to family and friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a serum that works! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow another CeraVe product that has been developed well for the skin. This is the second product in the CeraVe range that I have tried and have had great results with. I am in my early flurries and needed to seriously start thinking about a good retinol product to keep my skin hydrated, smooth and plump and this product definitely won me over. The packaging is plain and simple but definitely don’t judge this book by it’s cover. The pump bottle the product comes in is fantastic and not only a great size to fit in your travel bag but easy enough to store at home without any fuss. The pump bottle generally dispenses enough for each use with one pump. I sometimes do two pumps to saturate the skin a bit more but it is not necessarily needed each time I just wanted a bit more some evenings. The serum is lovely and light and not too thick for an evening product. I used in the evenings on a daily basis and found it spread evenly across my face and neck area and didn’t leave a greasy feeling afterwards. My skin absorbed this serum very well. I have sensitive skin however usually like something with a scent as I am lucky the scent doesn’t normally irritate my skin. This product doesn’t have a scent though which would suit most people it’s just a preference for me that I like. It certainly didn’t take away how well this product is performing. I used this product for a block of two weeks each evening after a hot shower and a face free of any other products. My face definitely is showing an even tone now and my skin is smooth and silky. Some of my fine lines around my lip area have reduced. I took photos for this one and could see a slight difference which was amazing. Although I received this product as a trial with the Beauty Crew I definitely feel that the price point for this serum matches what the product delivers. I feel CeraVe have put a great amount of effort and research into this product to ensure it backs up what it says it’s doing. I will continue to use this serum in the evenings and hope to see even better results as the nights go on. I would highly recommend this product for women of my age and skin type. Thank you CeraVe you have delivered another great product that will continue to be an addition to my daily routine and the life of my skin.

I’m not sure if it was this serum or a combination of all 3 but using this under my night cream seemed to really work well for my mature skin. So much so that 2 people commented on how good my skin was looking lately. A couple of nights I forgot to use this serum first and noticed my skin didn’t feel as hydrated so it must have made the difference. Definitely worth checking out if you want a reasonably priced product that competes with some of the more high end products available.

Following the winter months my skin was feeling dry and dull. This combination really turned it around. My lines were less visible, my skin felt firmer, plumper and rehydrated. The brightness of my skin was the best part. As always I wore a 30+ sunscreen after use on sunny days as retinol can be very powerful and leave skin more prone to sunburn. I tried it with and without makeup and can advise either is fine. I decided routinely at night was a good option for me. Highly recommend for all skin types if you are looking to improve your skin from dullness, tired and dryness. Left mine feeling super healthy, hydrated and glowing

I had no issues with CeraVe renewing retinol and felt just that, it was renewing my skin, whilst I was sleeping. I love the packaging and the way it feels, just using a small pump on my cleansed skin and then followed with the dream night cream. The textures is not thick, its like a soft lotion, for anyone who is new to retinol serums, this is definitely I must. I will definitely consider keeping this as my changing this product from what I am currently using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great affordable retinol serum [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to receive this serum along with the vitamin C serum and night cream from the CeraVe range to trial and review. I have an existing retinol serum that I love, and others that I have tried haven't really compared, so I was really interested to try this one, especially as it contains ceramides as well, which my skin loves. I've got dehydrated, oily-combo skin with texture and hyperpigmentation that is blemish-prone, and can be quite reactive, and was so glad that this product didn't dry me out or irritate my skin. I stuck to my existing frequency of use, using this every third night, same as I did my existing serum, and in terms of results, it does compare to my considerably more expensive serum. My skin feels a tiny but less smooth in the mornings than with my existing serum, but that's really the only comment. Packaging, as is standard for CeraVe, is simple and works, with a pump top that dispenses just the right amount in one pump to cover my face. Given my existing retinol has gone up in price and is acft8now just over double the price, I'll definitely repurchase when I can't quite justify my expensive one, because this is a great serum.

I am an experienced retinol user and after 2+ weeks of trying this serum, it will definitely be a repurchase for me. I have also used the vitamin c from this range (will also be a repurchase) and have been using the retinol every night since I received it. I have experienced no irritation, reactions, dryness or flaking. This formula is beautiful - its thin, hydrating and spreads easily and evenly on the skin. It does not dry out or pill once absorbed. When I first started using retinol I wish this was on the market because its so easy to use, hydrates very well and is gentle! The packaging is great too - the pump bottle makes it simple to use and I get enough product to cover face and neck. If you try anything from the skin renewing range make it this retinol and the Vit C to get all the wonderful anti-ageing benefits. Since using the retinol I have noticed with consistent use, general overall brighter skin, even skin tone and fading of spots (I have also used the vit c in the mornings from this range) and have noticed great results with the two products. So impressed with this range and am glad to have found two key anti ageing products that are affordable and effective.

I'm not typically a retinol user, but I know I should jump on that badgawon as it has all the components of skin care that I want/need - but I've always been a bit weary of it. I really loved how I could just start up, no lead in, and it is gentle enough to use every day. My skin has never looked brighter and fuller - I love it. I love that the packaging is photosensitive and you can dispense the small amount you need - LOVE PUMPS! I'm really loving that this CeraVe Skin Renewing Range has all the fabulous ingredients in it to do the job that they are meant to do, without all the excess fluff and perfumes - helps get bang for the buck too! Will definitely buy again.

Can I just say, as a honey that is no stranger to retinols (tried them all doll) this little tube of goodness has been my favourite. Let’s talk about the formula, it’s pure and gentle and absolutely non irritating but best of all it works! With the added benefits of the 3 essential ceramides you know your skin is in safe hands. I’m usually a little scared to try new retinol products but I jumped straight in with this one and did not have any regrets. I have loved every product from cerave and I will continue to use this serum it’s so so lovely.

I wish that the exact percentage of retinol was listed somewhere on the packaging, but my guess is that this is a mid-strength serum. A brief warning, if you haven't used retinols before, or have taken a break this did cause some purging. However, this was resolved after about 2 weeks of use (2-3 uses per week). This is a great option whether you're a retinol newbie or an experienced retinol user. The texture of the serum is light, non-sticky, and hydrating without being too rich. This may be my new go to retinol serum!

The CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Serum has a lovely consistency, absorbs quite quickly and a little bit of product goes a long way! The packaging is completely fool proof and dispenses the perfect amount of product with one pump. The serum leaves your skin feeling hydrated and refreshed immediately after use, without any tacky or sticky feeling some serums can leave. I’d happily recommend this product to anyone who is looking to introduce retinol into their skincare regime, as well as those who are already regular users! I’ve definitely noticed improvements with the visibility of my pores, and skin texture since I’ve been using this product every evening for just over three weeks now.

I was delighted to try a retinol serum as I have heard the claims that retinol can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I have been using "Cerave Skin Renewing Retinol Serum" for four weeks. I apply the serum after cleansing my face in the morning, it is absorbed quickly and has no perfume. I wait a few minutes and then apply my daily SPF daily moisturizer. I have found that my foundation make-up glides on more smoothly than it used to and the pores in my skin are now barely visible. I do have fine lines on my chin and between my eyes and although I know they exist, they seem a little less notable. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends of a similar age as we are all looking for a serum that really works and is affordable.

Its pump bottle format dispensed just enough for each section of the face (one for each of the cheeks, the forehead, and another for the neck). Used nightly, it layered well under other products. Containing ceramides and hyaluronic acid, the retinol did not leave my skin dry, yet left me with firmer skin after using for a month. It had a similar consistency, colour and texture to the The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emlusion (which is about half the price) yet it was a more luxurious product that did away with the fussiness of a dropper for a more hygienic product without the need for storage in the refrigerator.

I'm over 65 and have fine lines and wrinkles that show up when I smile . After a few weeks using this product I'm delighted to say that they are gradually disappearing. The serum did make my skin tingle initially but after a few days that didn't trouble me any more. It glides on smoothly and doesn't feel at all sticky. I'm using it twice a day and now when I look into the mirror I want to smile. Those sneaky little wrinkles are getting harder to see by the day now. The serum does tend to make my skin feel a little tight so I use the CeraVe night cream over the top. My skin feel so soft when I wake up. I'm also using this serum underneath my make up with very good results. I'd recommend this product , it works so well.

The serum has a lightweight texture which get absorbed into my skin instantly. At first I used this serum once a week to see if my skin like it. After first use, my skin didn't get reaction so I gradually increase to daily use. I got to say this retinol serum has potent ingredients but gentle on skin. After few weeks of use, my skin looked pumped, my fine lines have reduced. The dullness layer has disappeared and replaced with a healthy glow. Such a great product, highly recommend.

Easy to apply from the handy little pump pack - I much prefer my skin care products in either a swizzle tube or a pump dispenser as they protect the product inside from air and contamination from handling. Nice, silky textured serum which I smoothed into my face every second evening prior to using the CreaVe Skin Renewing Night Cream. It absorbed into the skin quite well without leaving a sticky residue and it is fragrance free, which is a bonus for me as my skin is sensitive and prone to rosacea. I found trying it every second night was helpful in easing into the use of retinoids due to my sensitive skin, can cause some irritation and peeling otherwise in those with very sensitive skin. Thankfully this was not the case here! Important to note that it is recommended to use a SPF 50+ sunscreen with the use of retinoids as they can increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun. Overall, a nice, silky serum to use that was beneficial in smoothing and brightening my skin whilst improving the texture. Happy to recommend!

Importantly, I have not experienced any sensitivity issues while using this serum; however, it should be noted that I regularly use retinol products. It comes in a plastic bottle with a pump dispenser, which delivers enough product for my face with one pump. Besides retinol, which is the main ingredient in this serum, it contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid. This combination really agrees with my skin and with night-time use daily for a month together with the matching night cream from this range, my skin looks smooth and plump. Overall, I like this serum very much and will repurchase.

Fragrance free this product is very light on your skin and leaves no sticky residue and it is easily absorbed. Being in a pump bottle it is easy to dispense exactly the amount you need without any wastage. After using this product in conjunction with the Cerave night cream I definitely have noticed firmness in my face and neck. At this affordable price I would definitely be purchasing this product and recommend it.

I must say this retinol is so so good to apply. Love the pump bottle. So easy to use. I have used Cerave cleanser before which is a great product . And now I am Trying this skin renewing range vitamin c serum, night cream and retinol serum. All the products are so good. Thanks to review crew to introducing me to these great products. My skin feels firm. I will recommend the whole Cerave skin renewing range to all who wants to invest in good products in a budget. Just loving this range and my skin.

It helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles and restore the skin without damage. You can also use it alone or under makeup to maximise benefits. All Renewing Skin formulas are fragrance-free, paraben-free, non-comedogenic, and gentle for sensitive skin like mine. I am thrilled with this trial and will buy it in the future. It has a lovely creamy texture and absorbs nicely into skin. It doesn’t have a sticky feel which is great. I used it underneath the CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream and they seemed to work well together however you could probably just as easily use this product on its own or underneath your regular moisturiser. I would definitely use this Serum again and it is good value.and skin feels nicely hydrated the next day. It doesn’t really have a smell to it and is a great little serum for people with sensitive skin types.

I think this is a great retinol for all users, first timers and people like me who have been experimenting with retinol% for years. My skin is definitely smoother; although I did use this in conjunction with the night cream and vit c serum. The whole range has been a huge yes from me. My skin has been calm and fresh all month and I'm so pleased with the price point!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smoother and More Radiant Skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a first time user of retinol so I was so excited to trial the CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Serum. I felt that this product was a good starter for first time retinol users because it is gentle on the skin and contains other beneficial ingredients like hyaluronic acid to plump and smooth the skin and niacinamide to help calm the skin. It’s a win win for me! In addition I had heard great things about retinol and its benefits but was always hesitant to try it due to my sensitive skin. I have been using this Retinol Serum for approximately one month and I am so impressed with results so far! I am in my 50s and I have a sensitive skin that reacts to highly perfumed products. I am also a combination skin type with an oily t zone and dry cheeks as well as an uneven skin tone and pigmentation. I have a good skin care regime but I always felt I needed that special product to help with my wrinkles and mature skin and I think I found it! I started to introduce the retinol gradually to let my skin get used to this ingredient. I used it every second night for a week and then every night the second week gradually building up to every morning and night. I must say that the results have been quite impressive and so far there has been no irritation or reaction. So far so good! Firstly, I love the consistency of this product and the way it glides on and it absorbs beautifully into my skin leaving it feeling silky smooth. It has visibly improved the appearance of my fine lines and wrinkles. It has also improved my skin’s texture leaving it hydrated and looking smoother in appearance. People have actually commented on how radiant and smooth my skin looks and want to know what I’m using! I can honestly say that I will be using this product as a permanent part of my skin care regime. I also notice that it is quite hydrating but I still use my facial creams and always apply sunscreen after and it does not interfere with these products. I have definitely noticed a vast improvement in the texture and appearance of my skin. My skin has a firmer appearance and feels smoother and more plump. My wrinkles and fine lines also appear faded. I find an enormous difference when I use the retinol at night and wake in the morning to my skin that appears renewed, stronger and more youthful looking. My skin loves this product and the way it feels. The packaging is another big plus for me. It’s compact and convenient for travel and I love that it has an eco friendly pump. The pump bottle makes it super easy to control the dosage. I would 100% recommend the CeraVe Skin Renewing Retinol Serum for my age group and skin type.

I like the texture of the serum that is creamy but not oily, therefore it is easy to apply on and it feels light and refreshing my face. I know retinol is a very effective ingredient for skin ageing however it might not be suitable for super sensitive skin. I personally had no problem using this CeraVe retinol serum. The result is good so far that my skin feels smoother and brighter. The pump bottle packaging is convenient and hygienic. I would certainly use it more in future.
