Information

General Information

Swisse Glycolic Acid 8% Brightening Gel Cleanser removes impurities and makeup, while correcting uneven skin tone, texture, and dullness. Formulated with glycolic acid, it supports skin radiance by promoting cell turnover for those with age-related dullness. Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid (or AHA) that works to exfoliate the skin.

Directions

Gently massage one pump onto a wet face & neck using a light circular motion, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly with warm water & pat dry. Suitable for daily use.

One pump goes a long way doing my face, neck and decolletage. Its really effective in removing makeup and sunscreen at the end of the day, I didn't need to double cleanse to get everything off, but it also didn't leave my skin tight or itchy. After a few weeks of use 2 x daily (once at night and once in the morning) my skin is so soft and the texture is visibly improved. Would repurchase.

I found this product to be super effective in doing this. Its actually become my go to now - I like it that much. My face looks so squeaky clean but it doesn't feel stripped of oils , which I absolutely love. My face definitely looks brighter after use. Will continue to use this - highly recommend. For context, my skin isn't overly sensitive and I've had no issues with it being too much for my skin, I've seen no negative effects from using this product approx. 4-5 times a week.

I’m a naturopath and I love that it’s not full of rubbish ingredients, love the herby smell and price point - makes it accessible to mainstream market. If only the range was accessible in supermarkets! I now live on the Gold Coast and it’s not available anywhere, so had to buy it directly online.

Foams up really well, removes makeup easily and I feel like my pores are clean. I do find it sometimes it strips the moisture from my skin a touch but nothing that's too bad. While it does remove some make up, it does need help to get rid of my mascara but gets rid of the foundation easily. I have used it a couple times to remove my makeup and it works well to remove stubborn makeup such as mascara. I like the feel of the product on my skin and it feels nice and smooth after using. I haven't noticed a huge difference in the brightness of my skin though may be too early to tell. The price is totally affordable which is great as skin care can be quite an expense.

The pump application makes it easy to disperse and the cleanser is easy to apply, however it is not foaming which I was not used to. After using the cleanser my skin felt super smooth, refreshed and clean. I noticed I had a glow that usually only occurs when I apply my moisturizer, so it also made my skin look more radiant. Great value for money, definitely will continue to use the gel cleanser.

The gel cleanser is thicker than I’m used to but blends well into the skin and foams up slightly when I add water. I love the added bonus of glycolic acid for a gentle exfoliation. Also non drying but leaves my skin feeling clean.

This particular wash worked great on my skin, leaving it feeling deeply cleansed without any irritation. I noticed that my skin looked brighter and clearer after using it regularly. However, it's important to note that since I'm accustomed to Glycolic Acid, this cleanser might have a different impact on someone who is more sensitive or not accustomed to using products with Glycolic Acid. I wouldn’t say it’s an outstanding difference so far but this may improve with further use. I’ve easily added this cleanser into my routine using day and night and it’s been great at removing any make up or dirt at the end of day. For the price I think this is a cleanser well worth purchasing and I hope with continued use my skin will continue to improve.

I did find I needed to use a little more product than normal, but for the price point and how much product you get it isn’t too much of a concern. I use this every evening and although I am yet to see any drastic improvements to my skin after 1 month just yet, it does make my skin feel really nice so I will definitely continue to use this as part of my routine.

Its fragrance is not too pleasant with a slight citrus scent and a pink colour gel cleanser. It doesn’t wash make up off very well so I usually wash make up off first and then cleanse with the gel cleanser. It makes your skin tingle initially but doesn’t last long. My skin looks the best it has looked in a long time. It definitely increases the skins cell turnover. I would recommend this to anyone who has blemishes or fine lines.

It definitely made my face feel cleaner, even after a layer of make-up was removed along with the dirt and grime from a day in the city. The packaging with the pump dispenser makes the product easy to use. The product has a nice smell to it which also made it pleasant to use. I can see this product being quite cost effective as you only need to use one pump so the amount available will last a long time. One pump gives you plenty of product to cover your face. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this interchangeably with my other cleansers since it's a relatively high percentage active ingredient face wash (glycolic acid) and I have sensitive skin. It's nice, it's gentle, it certainly doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. It gives my skin a soft feel and gentle glow when I use it. I love that it's made it Australia and can say it definitely feels like the classic Swisse style products where it's reliable and backed by proper science. Not like some other beauty brands which rely heavily on marketing. The only downside I find with this one is it foams but not as much as I like, it's definitely no deal breaker though because I still love the way my skin feels after. Overall quite pleased and can't wait to see what other skin ranges Swisse comes out with!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I read about this product I thought cool a good cleanser with added nourishment for my skin… this is a really nice cleanser, very user friendly. This cleanser does remove dirt and grime and make up which is great. I love that I’m getting the hit of Glycolic acid however do wonder how long it’s actually on my skin given the fact I wash this cleanse off? Not saying it’s not doing anything for my skin but I am curious about it.
