I have been teasing out this product for a few weeks now.. and well it works, it does the job, it's quick and easy to use. I did find it much easier to soap the bar up in my hands first rather than to apply the bar straight to my roots like the packaging suggests. This would be super easy to take with you if you were travelling for a short period of time. No need for big bulky shampoo bottles. I also love that this product is a vegan formula. I would recommend this product to my family and friends for short term use.

The main thing is that this shampoo compared with bottle/liquid shampoo is zero plastic waste, which is awesome. I have oily hair and this shampoo bar did the job well, I did not see any difference compared with bottle/liquid shampoo. The shampoo bar is very easy to use, just follow the instructions. The watermelon scent is strong, I can smell it even after a shower. Next time that I need to buy shampoo or conditioner I would be considering buying a bar instead of liquid. I would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends.

I must admit I was quite skeptical at first but it quickly changed my mind. I loved the environmentally friendly packaging. It smells amazing not only after washing but lasts a few days. Left my hair super shiny and silky. Application was really easy, I was expecting it to be a bit difficult, but it lathered nicely and quickly. Definitely would purchase in future and recommend.

It's so easy to use and lather through my hair and smells absolutely amazing! It was very easy to rinse our of my hair aswell. I love the fact that it is zero waste being a bar and not a liquid shampoo in a bottle too. My hair was soft and shiny after use and it smelt great too. It thoroughly cleaned my hair and my greasy hair stayed clean for three days before i even thought about washing it again. I highly recommend this shampoo bar to anyone who cares for the environment and is trying to reduce their waste. Great great product!

I had already used the Garnier Watermelon Hair Mask/Conditioner, so I was so excited to use this shampoo bar, they both smell heavenly and complement each other beautifully. After using the shampoo bar for 3 weeks now, my hair looks so shiny and smooth and feels so silky which I'm so impressed with. I love how sustainable this shampoo bar is and how easy it is to reduce your plastic wastage just by switching to a shampoo bar instead of plastic bottled shampoo. I'm definitely going to continue using Garnier's line of shampoo bars because they are so effective and leave my hair looking so healthy!

It smells amazing, lathers really well, and doesn’t have plastic packaging - what’s not to love!? This is the second brand of shampoo bar I have tried, the other one being a lot more expensive, and I found this one superior. The smell is amazing and it lathers like a normal shampoo, really easily. It left my hair smelling and feeling nice and did a good job at cleaning my hair. It would be fantastic to travel with too as it doesn’t take up much space and there would be no risk of it leaking!! I am totally converted to shampoo bars now and will definitely buy this product again when my sample one runs out. Love love love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Garnier Fructis Hair Food Shampoo Bar (Watermelon) is a very compact item, making it travel-friendly. The product comes in 100% FSC recyclable cardboard packaging, therefore having zero plastic waste and benefitting the environment. You receive a substantial amount of product for a reasonable price which will last a very long time. The shampoo bar left my hair feeling throughly cleansed without stripping the natural oils out of my hair. The scent is very sweet and it keeps my hair smelling good after use. However, the scent doesn’t linger which is good as it can be a bit strong, but not overbearing. My hair which is generally very flat has gained a considerable amount of volume since beginning the use of this product. I have also noticed a significant increase to the health of my hair, including additional shine and thickness. I am very pleased with this shampoo bar and would 100 percent recommend it to my friends, family and anyone with fine hair.

I have very thin oily hair and it’s difficult to find a shampoo that gives volume and keeps my hair feeling clean. This bar is my new favourite! It smells absolutely divine, it lathers to a rich foam, and leaves my hair feeling super clean without being stripped. I found my hair stays cleaner for longer with more volume. I decided to use environmentally friendly products this year and given that this Garnier Fructis Hair Food Shampoo Bar - Watermelon Is eco friendly unlike the plastic shampoo bottles I find this a winner. This works just like a liquid shampoo. Doesn’t leave my hair dry and it smells amazing all day. My hair feels soft and healthy and super clean. Love it. Give it a go. It’s amazing. I often struggle with Shampoo/Conditioner bars because I have very thick curly hair that is dry too. So i struggle with getting soap on my scalp because it's just too thick. But wow! applying this on my hair was so easy it lathered on so nicely and a lot melted on my hair, it was so easy to use and lather on, and it foamed up nicely and i was able to scrub it on to my scalp. i was hoping the watermelon smell would be stronger, it was very creamy watermelon fragrance, i wasn't too much of a fan unforunately. but everything else was great! The soap bar is generous so it will be lasting me awhile. and i also love that it's plant based, great product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smells amazing I have quite thick hair so I didn't need the volume it offered but after using it my hair definitely feels refreshed and smooth which alot of the time when using volumising hair care can make your hair feel quite course and gross and thankfully with this I didn't get that at all, the smell is so good and strong so if you're not a fan of strong smells this won't suit you, overall this product is great in combination with the leave in conditioner which can be used in multiple was as a normal condition or a leave in or a mask.

It reminds me of childhood days strawberry lipgloss and gum so if you wanna walk down memory lane then, then this product will most definitely bring on some nostalgia.. personally I love it and don't find it overpowering. The product is the shape of a teardrop makes it sense it's easier to grip, but it does become slippery once wet and when it lathers up, as it is completely smooth bar (no imprinted branding or grooves). The instructions say to apply the bar directly to the hair, but I personally found I got a good amount of product/lather just by rubbing it in my hands, and then applying it to my hair. It does lather extremely well I've always worrier that using just a shampoo bar.my.hair.woukd be dry and yuck it was actually silky and soft to my surprise bar becomes quite soft and almost 'melts' when it's wet. Seems the product to wastes in between uses as it sticks to the container . But from a sustainability this is a small trade-off for ditching plastic

Immediate impressions was the strong watermelon scent, even before opening the box. It reminds me of childhood days, so if you were a fan back then, then this product will most definitely bring on some nostalgia! The scent is also equally as strong when using it, and also will continue to impart a fragrance if you have it sitting on the bathroom counter/shelf after use- but I personally love it and don't find it overpowering. The only 'downside' is that the bar becomes quite soft and almost 'melts' when it's wet, and I have noticed cracks starting to form when it dries back up. There is potential for some product to be wasted in between uses, and sticks to the dish I've placed it on for storage. But from a sustainability POV, this is a small trade-off for ditching plastic!

When I saw the shampoo bar I knew I had to give it a try. This is my first time using a product like this but I love the idea of sustainability. It takes a little to work into a nice lather but once it starts to lather its really nice Personally on my fine hair I don't find this range particularly volumising and although I love how sweet this smells I might give another of the ranges a go to see what would work best for my hair.

I love the concept of it being a bar and lasting longer then one bottle but a little inconvenient to find somewhere to put the bar after use for it to dry. I do have fine hair and there was a noticeable difference with it having slight volume to it instead of it being flat. My hair felt incredibly soft after continuous use of this product and also found it helped control my frizz. Not sure if there is also a conditioner to match as I have yet to find one but would definitely buy to give them a chance together.

It is actually a really handy shampoo for using it on my kids. It means they don’t use up the shampoo bottle in one wash haha. It soaps up really well and you only need a little bit. It is a pink colour and a great size. Doesn’t slip out of my hand in the shower. Does give a nice volume to hair. My hair was left feeling really clean afterwards. It’s a fun way to shampoo hair.

It comes in a 60g bar and is pink in colour. My first impression is that it smells amazing!! It smells like watermelon. it is labeled as volumising and a 2 in 1 cleanse and care. i didn't notice any difference in the volume of my hair and i don't really know what the 2 in 1 means, its just a shampoo. Compared to other shampoo bars i have used in the past this one lathers up really well and a little goes a long way. after drying my hair felt clean and light. it wasn't weighed down with silicones. it doesn't contain any silicones, preservatives, plastic waste or artificial colours. I also like that because its compact, it is great for travelling.

It is sort of round ish in shape but easy to hold in one hand so that you can use the other hand to lather up properly. It is very easy to use, but I felt like I had to lather it up a few times to get enough product actually into my hair. It definitely gives a good, deep clean, but was quite drying without conditioner. Once I followed it with a conditioner, my hair was very clean and back to its normal amount of shine. This shampoo bar has a pleasant watermelon scent that was quite strong although I do prefer my products to only be lightly scented as I do find the smells can be distracting.

I found the product to be an interesting context in terms of saving waste, given that there was no plastic packaging. I enjoyed the lather created by this shampoo bar, and I have to say, it was my first time trialling a shampoo bar on my fine, somewhat oily and keratin-treated hair. I was surprised that I was able to properly able to lather the product, as I anticipated some difficulty, but I was pleasantly surprised. My felt volumised and clean, but not overly so. I paired this occasionally with the Watermelon Hair Food treatment or conditioner, which also worked really well and smelled amazing.

The idea was quite foreign to me, as I have never used a shampoo bar but I have to say I was impressed at how well it cleaned my hair. The process takes a bit of time to get use to and I have to say I don’t love the way it looks in my shower but I do like the idea that it is better for the environment, but I think if I continue to buy it then I would buy a cute little soap dish for it to sit on. But I love that Garnier is really making an effort to move towards a more eco friendly direction.

It is a great size bar which is easy to store between uses or take with you while travelling. It seems very long lasting as you don't use much at all each time, just a couple of strokes back and forth on the top of my head and it lathers up beautifully from there. It doesn’t irritate my hair or scalp at all and the scent is just beautiful. It has a very strong watermelon smell when you first open the box, but it is not overpowering on the hair after use. It definitely does what it says and is a volumising product. I will definitely be repurchasing this product.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well it lathers for a 2-in-1 shampoo bar and it leaves my hair feeling so clean and soft. It's great for traveling too being so compact and I love that it contains 94% plant based ingredients. It does slightly add volume to my fine hair, but it's nothing crazy. It would also be much better value for money as it lasts up to 2 bottles of liquid shampoo. Definitely worth trying, especially if you're considering making the switch to environmentally friendly hair care.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the environment, Great for my hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got given this shampoo to try and must say, the first thing I love about this product is its smell as well as how eco-friendly it is! This product comes in your traditional soap bar format and it's designed to last up to 500ml / 2 bottles worth of the bottled version. The application was simple and the shampoo didn't strip the oils from my fine oily hair or cause product build up. I loved how it left my hair feeling clean and volumised while also controlling the oils throughout the day. In terms of the price range wished that it was more affordable and came in different sizes. Also would of loved to see a larger range to suit all hair types. Apart from that, I really enjoyed using this shampoo!

I've always played with the idea of purchasing one but have never actually done it. When I first used the product, I found it a bit difficult to use and that there was a bit of a learning curve. It takes a little bit longer to get up a lather and to wash your hair but the overall result is the same as a liquid shampoo! And the smell! Oh my! It smells absolutely amazing and the scent lasts in your hair (and wherever you keep the shampoo bar) for days on end. I love that it is almost completely biodegradable and that each bar is equivalent to 2 x 250 ml shampoo bottles. And it's so small it fits in the palm of your hand! It does leave my hair a little tangled because I keep going back in with more product because you don't really get much at a time but nothing that conditioner can't fix.

I've seen reviews of shampoo bars before & thought they weren't for me. Garnier Fructis have changed my opinion totally! I was so impressed with the smell of the product firstly - the watermelon scent is so nice, natural and fresh. I was also impressed by how easily the bar lathers up, how clean it leaves my hair and how my hair looks afterwards - shiny, easy to manage and full of volume. I also especially loved how quick it was to use - much quicker than using three different types of shampoo, conditioner & treatment products like I usually do. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to try something different that is really eco friendly. It truly is a lovely product in a gorgeous little package.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Game changer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all I love how this product is made with sustainable packaging which is a huge plus in my books. I’ve never used a bar shampoo before so this was a completely different experience for me. I found it really easy to use, as all you have to do is rub the bar into wet hair and it starts to foam up instantly. It didn’t tangle my hair like a lot of other shampoos tend to do. It was really nice to massage in and rinse off and don’t even get me started on the smell!! This smells amazing, I could smell watermelon all day but it wasn’t a super overpowering smell ether. I highly recommend trying this product as it’s a game changer for you and for the environment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Garnier Fructis Hair Food Shampoo Bar (Watermelon) has given an amazing result and experience while I have been using It over a couple of weeks! I used the item between twice to three times a week together with my normal routine of shower or bath products and it worked well for my hair. My hair gets oily quickly and this product definitely helped make it less noticeable and become oily slower. The product is very easy to apply and smells amazing. Even just from opening the box the room filled with the watermelon smell. My only issue was that the box received was slightly squashed and the product had rubbed off onto the sides of the cardboard. Overall, highly recommend!
