What do I need to know before using Revitalift Pressed Cream?

Directions

Retinol may cause initial redness, tingling or dryness. Your skin will need time to get used to this powerful ingredient. It is recommended to introduce it gradually.
WEEK 1: Apply one pea-sized pump 2 nights per week to face, avoiding the eyelids. Use an additional pea-sized pump for the neck and decolletage. Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 15 the morning after to protect skin.
WEEK 2: Apply every other night.
WEEK 3: Apply nightly as tolerated.
Avoid intentional exposure to sun and artificial UV, as skin may be more sensitive. It is normal to experience some initial redness, tingling or dryness while using Retinol. If this happens, stop using it for a few days, then use less frequently. If severe irritation develops and lasts, discontinue use and talk to your doctor. Do not use on broken/irritated skin or on eyelids or lips. Do not use in conjunction with other Retinol products.

The jar is designed to pump out the optimum amount for a single application. This means that the rest of the product in the jar is kept as fresh and as hygienic as it can be. The cream had a very subtle scent, not over-powering at all. I usually hate using night creams because most are too thick for me. Not this product. The cream spread easily and felt light on the skin. After using it for the trial period of 2 weeks, I found that my skin looked smoother with a more even skin tone. It felt soft and supple. The appearance of my fine lines appeared to be improved. This product is worth every cent you might spend on it. Run, don’t walk.

I started trialing this product around two weeks ago, I followed the instructions to use a pea sized amount on my face avoiding the eyelids and an additional pea sized amount on my neck and decolletage two nights per week. The following week using a pea sized amount on the face and another on the neck/decolletage area every other night. The instruction information warns of initial redness, tingling or dryness as your skin gets used to it and to introduce it gradually, I did have tingling for the first few applications but no redness or dryness. I did find it moisturized well and the tingling was fairly brief, maybe 15 mins or so and not a painful sensation, wearing off quickly. The results after two weeks were quite pleasing. It has reduced wrinkles and somewhat evened out my skin tone on face and neck areas. I am nearly 40 and have tried alot of skincare products to reduce the wrinkles that are becoming more pronounced the last few years so was happy to see that after only two weeks I could notice a reduction! I am keen to continue using and hopeful to see more improvement in my skin. The jar it came in is great too. It looks nice and I really love the push down top that pumps a perfect amount and keeps the cream clean from contact. You simply push down and have the amount dispensed to easily apply. It's a really clever way to dispense! I am so far very happy with this product and will continue to use as it has been very effective in the time I have used it.

It goes on my skin really smooth and soft. It looks really hydrating on my skin. My skin looks less dull, there are less lines and wrinkles on my creased areas such as my eyes and where I smile. The skin looks more nourished so I look like I have a glow on as well. I also like the size of the cream, a little bit goes a long way and the size of this product is lasting for a long time which is really great value for money.

It’s packaging is genius because it’s air and light protected which is so important for creams like this with fragile ingredients. It also ensures there is no product wasted which is a massive bonus. The cream itself is luxurious and thick enough that my dry/ dehydrated skin felt moisturised. The cream sank into the skin in a few moments and I was able to layer it over the top of other skincare. There was a very subtle scent, but this was not overpowering or off-putting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the L'Oreal Revitalift Retinol Night Serum for months now, and that was a game changer. It made my skin so smooth and feeling hydrated like I never knew could exist - until the L’Oreal Revitalift Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream! Without tempting fate, I first used the L’Oreal Revitalift Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream all on it's own to ensure that I didn't flare up my skin. I absolutely love the metered pea sized dose from the push top of the container. It was the perfect amount, with no wastage! The feeling of the night cream is rich and thick, but the feeling of my skin once I lathered it on was nothing short of divine. My skin felt decadent, hydrated, plump and was glowing. Two night's later I used the serum and the night cream together and the combination of them both was pure glowy, dewy goodness ala Golden Hour by Kasey Musgraves <3. However, I would not recommend using the serum and night cream together unless you have committed and taken the time to strengthen your skin, and then would only use together maybe once per week. You could easily use the night cream on it's own 2 - 3 nights per week. After using the night cream, my skin is so smooth, glowy, and so hydrated I have to stop myself from touching my skin just to feel the smoothness. My favourite outcome is the deep fine line I have near my right eyebrow (my worry line) is no longer as deep. So much so that I had to really check to see if it was still there. If you are looking for a night cream to smooth your skin, lift that dullness to a dewy golden-hour glow and to ease fine lines, I would highly recommend this L’Oreal Revitalift Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream. It is a pure gem and I will never not use this from now on = a nightly staple for me!

Functionally the packaging took a second to get used to because I hadn't had cream dispensed quite that way before but it's not rocket science. I got used to it quickly. The product itself has a nice perfume to it and the consistency is really nice and easy to apply. It absorbs quickly and feels nice on the skin. I ensured that I started slowly with use as I have heard that retinol, if the skin is not accustomed to it, can cause irritation. In saying that, I was applying every second night from the get go and didn't experience any myself. The number one improvement I have noticed is in my skin complexion/tone. It has made my skin look very clear and much more even. My skin looks well hydrated also. Both on my face and décolletage. From an anti-wrinkle perspective, I feel that I would have to be using the product for a longer time period to see any substantial benefits but I am confident of seeing them. From a dollars perspective I would be confident to say that this product is up there in comparison with more of the high end or pricier options on the market, but at a more reasonable/affordable price. All in all this is a lovely night cream and something that I was looking for, being that I just turned 38 and would love any help I can get in turning back time! If I can do that in my sleep, even better!

Suitable for my combination skin which left It feeling nourished and moisturised. Not only did this work it’s magic in the 14 days/nights with reducing wrinkles but corrected the uneven skin tone in my face. Although I’d like a fragrance to my creams, this doesn’t disappoint as it absorbs into my skin quickly without leaving any oily residue. Gentle and effective - would recommend.

But surprisingly the combination of retinol and niacinamide works wonderfully on my combination skin. I have been using it for three weeks (every other night) and I can already see the difference. The skin texture on my chin became noticeably smoother, there are almost no bumps underneath the skin and also overall complexion looks healthier and more even. I am going to keep using it through the whole winter to get the best result. But even in winter time I would recommend to everyone to wear spf50 when using retinol, otherwise you can get sun damage spots (I got two spots on my cheek long ago, but now I am wiser :)). So, hopefully this cream will help me to reduce them. By the way, the packaging is very convenient and hygiene. You don’t put your fingers in the jar, you just press it and it squeezes perfect amount for the entire face, I also use another pump for my neck and décolletage and I can tell the skin feels super soft and moisturized. Special thanks to Loreal for not testing their products on animals. That is another important aspect for me when I choose skincare. Overall, honestly, I am impressed and going to repurchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this L’Oréal PARIS REVITALIFT LASER Pressed-Cream NIGHT RETINOL + NIACINAMIDE. Which claims to visibly reduce wrinkles and Correct uneven skin tones, for around 3 weeks now. I love the really modern looking innovative tub. It is a 50ml size, with a clear click on/off lid. It has an ingenious press button, which, when activated, delivers a pea sized amount of product, each time. I started using it, following the clear directions on the box. Using a pea-sized pump 2 nights per week on the neck and face avoiding the eyelids. Always using a SPF 15 or higher in the morning after use, to protect the skin. It is advised to avoid intentional exposure to sun and artificial UV as this may make skin more sensitive. The first couple of times applying this cream, my skin felt a slight tingle, but , I had no other adverse reactions. During week 2: I have been applying it every second night. Then on week 3: I have been using it most nights, apart from Saturday night, as I knew I was going to be doing more walking and had an outdoor lunch event on the Sunday. Purely just an extra precaution on my part, in case I was more sun sensitive than usual. I subsequently, did not have any irritation or problems. My usual sunscreen offered me the protection I needed, without any problems. I’m really enjoying using this, I think it is improving my skin texture, diminishing my wrinkles around my eyes and nourishing my skin. This feels light and hydrating for me, I don’t like a heavy night Cream. It was easy to smooth onto the skin. It felt nice and I wasn’t left with a sticky residue. The scent was quite light too, so it didn’t have an overpowering aroma, this is another plus for me, especially with a Night Cream. I am looking forward to continuing using this and hope my completion continues to be visibly firmer. I’m sure with continued use, the benefits of this Pressed-Night Cream will become more apparent. The only negative point, I could report. Is that it would be hard to gauge when this is running out. Perhaps this could be rectified by having the bottom of the jar, clear. I’m sure though, by the time I’ve used it for a few months, I will be repurchasing this. I have mature normal skin, with loss of firmness and fine lines around my eyes, I don’t have too much problems regarding skin tone or colour pigmentations. I am a fan of many L’Oréal Paris cosmetics and skincare. I feel this is another innovative winner. This is a true review, and my own opinions.

It not only smells devine but it is so hydrating and plumping. I noticed instantly how good my good skin looked and felt. I wanted to use it daily but I couldn't because I do have sensitive skin so I had to use the pea size amount 3x a week as I did get patches of dry skin around my mount when I used a generous amount of cream every other day. Now I know to avoid getting dry patches to use pea sized amount and to use it 3x a week to build up my resistance to retinol. Overall I am very pleased with this product and I think it is worth the money. I will highly recommend it to anyone wanting results instantly.

The packaging is gorgeous, hygienic and avoids any wastage by dispensing enough cream for one use. The cream is easy to apply and absorbs well. It's super smooth and left my skin feeling soft and moisturised. I usually use The Ordinary's Retinoid, so did not experience any sensitivity to this cream. Probably best to patch test if you have sensitive skin though. Definitely improved the brightness and texture of my skin. Would definitely repurchase.

The cream is both lightweigt & has a pleasant light scent. I followed the directions & applied a pea sized pump twice a week to my face & neck the first week, I have sensitive skin & also mild rosacea so I was concerned it may be too strong. I had no adverse reaction , no tingling or sensitivity. The cream absorbed easily & quickly & my face didn't feel dry or sticky. My skin felt moisturised. The second week I used the cream every second night but after a few nights , as I had no adverse reaction I began using it every night. I feel as though my skin is regenerated , as though the cream has gently removed a dull dry layer of skin & left a new fresh , smooth & brighter layer. Fine lines seem to have disappeared.I feel like my rosacea has improved as well . I love the jar & how it dispenses just the right amount each time & as you only use a pea size amount the 50ml jar is great value. I will definately recommend this product to family & friends.

I love the new packaging, it's sleek, solid and feels luxurious to use. It's nice not having to go digging in a jar with my fingers and i like being able to press down on the pump. The texture is that perfect balance of thickness without feeling heavy on my skin but it does have that comforting feeling of a night cream. It absorbs nicely and there is no heavy scent. Over the past few weeks i have noticed my skin has woken up! It looks brighter and i feel the tone is more consistent. My pores aren't as obvious and i struggle to find fine lines. My skin seems happier, i haven't broken out or had any negative reactions, i feel like my other products are being absorbed better and i don't feel the need to exfoliate as often as i did before. overall i think this is a great way to introduce retinol to skin without causing reactions and it's just the boost i needed. I am now converted and will be replacing my other night cream with this one.

I have been a lover of retinol for years and its been a while since a retinol gave me a light peel, so I was sooo happy when this one did. The strength of this product is just perfect, however I think that if you are a first time retinol user, this may be a tad bit strong for them. This is the first product that I have used with a package like this one - it took all the guess work out of how much to actually use. It's fantastic. I think that the only thing that could be improved if there was a small section of the jar that was transparent so that I could see how much of the cream is actually left in side, but other than that, it was great. The smell was also very fresh and 'spa like' as well. I have already recommended this product to a girlfriend who has already made the purchase.

I found it to be very hydrating on my dry flaky skin. It’s too early to tell whether it has improved my skin appearance but with retinol and nicinamide, I would hope so. I love the packaging too. One pump is the perfect amount of product and much more hygienic than a tub. My only minor complaint is that it leaves a bit of a sticky feeling in your skin after application. It is very affordable co pared to a lot of other night cream and I will definitely repurchase.

I was really excited as I know the good benefits of both retinol and niacinamide on skin. First impression, I love its light creamy texture that melts like butter when applied on skin. It has a nice fragrance too but I prefer less fragrance on my skincare. It takes a while to get absorbed and dry up on skin. I’ve only used this for more than a week and during my first 2 days, it kinda reacted with my exfoliating toner. It accelerated my skin exfoliation. I had to take a break and use it again until I found the right balance on my skin. It worked well in the end. Overall, I love the experience and will continue using it. Only thing I didn’t like about it is the packaging in a pump tub. It looks good at first, I love the fun of it but I’ve used similar product in same packaging and it’s difficult to get the most out of product with that tub.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Suzanne R. from Already had positive comments on my skin [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging of the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream is very hygienic and easy to use. It has a push down pump that dispenses exactly the correct amount of product to use. It’s the kind of packaging all moisturisers should have. Only a pea size amount is all that is needed to be used. I followed the instructions of using the product twice in the first week and every second night on the second week. I only had two weeks to trial the product but in the two weeks this product seems really good. There is no indication of the percentage of retinol in the product, however I suspect it must be quite high given the skin needs to be introduced slowly to the product. What I liked most is how my skin looked in the morning. I actually woke up with really soft hydrated skin. I have even started to get comments on how good my skin is looking. The product is lightweight but is still hydrating enough for dry skin types. As I have only been using the product for two weeks it’s hard to see any other improvements at this stage. I will definitely continue to use the product and work up to using it every night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amy S. from A fool proof way to use retinol [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Retinol can be a scary thing to incorporate into your skincare routine, but this moisturiser makes it so easy! I found that this didn't upset my skin like some retinols can. It's in a hydrating and calming formula so you don't need to worry about irritation or skin peeling. If you're used to retinol then you could start using this with no issues. If you're new to retinol then start by using this only once or twice a week at first before increasing how often you use it. I like to use a calming or hydrating serum first, let it dry and then use this moisturiser. It reminds me of a more affordable Murad night retinol moisturier, The packaging is easy to use and hygienic. It does have some fragrance, so beware if you don't like fragrance. L'Oreal is often on sale, so look out for this as well as the matching serum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always been quite nervous to use retinol but as I've gotten older, I know my skin was in desperate need of it. I've also always suffered from acne, scarring and congestion and have used niacinamide before to treat it. Having both ingredients definitely cuts down my night time skin routine and not to mention has done wonders for skin! The texture has changed and has become supple and soft, I've found my pores are smaller with little to no congestion and the overall appearance of my skin is a lot brighter. For the first time in a very long time I feel good not wearing makeup and letting my skin shine. I'll definitely be incorporating this product into my regular routine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been very lucky to have the opportunity to review L’Oreal’s Pressed Cream Night Retinol + Niacinamide treatment. I have just turned 40, and have been curious about starting some anti-ageing treatments. Well, I have got off on a great start with this lovely cream. To start off, I really love the packaging - it is modern, and looks quite nice on my basin. The cream itself feels very soothing upon application, and smells absolutely divine! The instructions say to use a pea-sized amount, and that’s truly all you need for one application. The pump action makes it easy to measure up the amount you want, as long as you push down gently. I have been using this cream for two weeks. It is my first time using a retinol product, and it has gone very smoothly. I have been able to work up to nightly application with no side effects. Even though it has only been two weeks, I can definitely see some changes. My skin looks clearer and is definitely more glowing. As for the wrinkles, I think it’s too early to tell, but I am excited to keep using this cream and watching my results.

I strongly you only use a couple of times a week when you first start using the product. It irritated my skin when I used it a couple days in a row to begin with. After I had then slowly and properly introduced it into my skincare routine it no longer irritated my skin. It’s a lovely cream that easy to apply to the skin and absorbs quickly. It has a soft fragrance that doesn’t irritate me at all. Normally I prefer jars, so I can dispense out exactly as much product I needed without wasting way. But this container is also pretty cool. Its plastic, and then top you press down and it dispense a small amount of cream. I like the design and it means no product is wasted. The night cream is evening my skin tone, brightening it and I’m looking forward to seeing some wrinkle reduction with more use. L’Oréal has delivered well with this night cream and its one I’ll keep using.

Ideally I would have liked a longer trial period as was only given 3 weeks to trial this beautiful product. I eagerly introduced it to my nightly routine following the recommended application regime. loved the easy way to dispense the cream with a measured amount dispensed perfectly with each pump. it glided so effortlessly on my skin with no irritation or redness experienced. my skin felt nourished, soft and hydrated even only after a few applications. fine lines and dark skin spots did appear to fade somewhat after a short period of use and I look forward to more fantastic results with prolonged use. wonderful price point and an essential addition to a mature skin moisturising routine. I look forward and definitely will be adding it to my daily routine.

I like that I am getting not only a great moisturiser but with the added benefits of retinol to help with fine lines and signs of aging, as well as niacinamide to help even out my skin tone. The packaging is fabulous and oh so easy to use, a simple press and you get exactly the right amount that you need. I followed the instructions on how to introduce the product, and I have suffered from no irritation from the retinol at all. I really like the creamy smooth texture of the pressed cream, and the scent is quite pleasant without being overwhelming. It makes your skin feel hydrated and soft to the touch. Overall, this is a great way to introduce retinol and niacinamide to your skincare routine, without having to worry about what order to apply them or how often. Simple, and the results are great. I have noticed a visible reduction in melasma and uneven skin tone. I will definitely purchase this product again and recommend it to anyone looking for an easy way to add some actives to the skincare routine.

My skin is mature and dry and I have seen such a difference in the time I have been using it. My friends even noticed how much better my skin looks and I have been getting compliments with everyone wanting to know what I am using on my skin. I love that the pump gives you the right amount of cream to use and it absorbs quickly and feels great. My skin seems smoother and my freckles have started going lighter. I especially noticed the wrinkles around my mouth have reduced. I love that a cream can do so much for your skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nicole M. from Good anti-ageing ingredients at a fair price point [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For context, I have normal to dry skin and my skin is well adjusted to retinol products after years of use, so I experienced no sensitivity or irritation, and instead found it quite hydrating. I was able to use the night cream every night, but those who have not used retinol before please start out slowly. I have only been able to use the product for 10 days before submitting the review, so obviously have not seen any major changes in this time, but overall I feel like the ingredients are good quality and my skin looked nice and not dry the morning after use. I made sure to wear sunscreen every day (as we all should), but for those using retinol products of a night sunscreen is an absolute must! This combination retinol and niacinamide night cream was a nice light consistency. I would recommend this night cream for any person 25-105 who is looking for decent anti-ageing ingredients at a good price point. I would purchase again, especially as this product can often be found on sale.

I have used it for 2 weeks and could see and feel the difference. I have sensitive skin and have issues if I change my skin creams, however no problems with this one. I use it every night and when I cleanse my face and neck in the morning my skin feels supple and hydrated. This is my first jar, will certainly continue with this product. By the way love the packaging and the new pump bottle, because there is no wastage and you could pump out as little or more as you want.

Being someone who frequently uses both retinol and niacinamide in my skin care routine, I was excited to try this product. The press jar packaging provides mess-free and easy application. The cream has a pleasant scent and a little bit goes a long way. After using the cream for one week, I did notice an improvement in the fine lines on my forehead. It also plumped my skin and provided hydration. I look forward to seeing further results from this product with continued use. I would recommend this product as an reasonably priced anti-aging night cream.

As it has retinol as one of its active ingredients, I was apprehensive about the effectiveness and also the strength- in particular if it was overly stripping on the skin. I followed the instructions closely, a three week guide of usage, and I saw results! The creamed gel comes out very hydrating and a little goes a long way. The cream dries quite quickly on the skin yet doesn’t feel tightening in a bad way. I honestly didn’t expect to see any. After using it for a bit over a week I noticed that my skin staring peeling, it wasn’t overly obvious, but I was aware of it. After a day or two, really smooth skin emerged and I felt like it was tightened and more lined free. People at work commented on my skin - saying it looked refreshed and asked what I was using. Sunscreen is definitely needed after use and it can cause your skin to be more sensitive to UV rays, but it wasn’t onerous as it was already part of my skincare routine. After the great feedback from people as well as the results I’ve seen, I can definitely recommend it and I see it as part of my beauty routine now.
