I never believed the hype of sonic cleansers until I tried this, I am officially converted! It's made a huge difference in how clean my skin feels, I will never stop using it! I can't believe the difference I've seen in my skin since I started using it. It's also waterproof, so perfect to be used in the shower and the charge lasts ages. It has adjustable vibration levels and can also be put onto a heated mode which is handy. I will absolutely keep this device as a part of my skin care routine, and just wish I had of found it sooner and believed the hype because I could have had better skin ages ago! After having a baby and being 5 months postpartum in lockdown, I really haven't had the chance to have a facial or spa-day so this came at the absolute perfect time. Little did I know, the Mr was very interested. He started using it before I even had the chance! He absolutely loved it and the one thing that impressed us was that we could see it on our phones. As gross as it was satisfying, we definitely saw a difference in skin texture after using it. I really enjoyed trialling this and am so grateful to have the opportunity!

I've used similar before but found this Manicare one to be so much more soft and really gentle on the skin. It gives such a deep clean and my skin always feels so nice after I use it. It doesn't leave it feeling tight or dry. Because it's so gentle, I wouldn't class it as an exfoliant so I use it for my second cleanse each night. It's also so convenient that it's fully waterproof and I can take it into the shower with me. The charge time also lasts ages and the cute stand makes it really easy to charge. Would definitely recommend for an every night deep clean.

I’ve only ever used the Clarisonic cleanser before this and in comparison, the Sonic Cleanser felt so much more gentle on the skin. After using my oil cleanser at night, I would follow up with a second cleanse using the Sonic Cleanser and my skin never felt cleaner! The little silicon brushes definitely does it’s job of working it’s way into the pores. Aesthetics wise, it’s a nice shade of purple and a good size to hold in the hands. It comes with an easy charge attachment and a reasonable battery life.

And it helps me apply my makeup in the morning a lot smoother too! I have sensitive acne prone skin so this product is much more sanitary for my cleansing needs. My face feels so much softer after using this. I only use it about 3 times a week because I don't want to over exfoliate my face. I've had for about 6 weeks now and I haven't had to recharge it yet It won't sting when you wash your face.real clean you face. Pink is a lovely color and not too bulky to adjust the vibration frequency! Deep clean! I love it

The Manicare Thermal Sonic Cleanser is a gorgeous purple colour and is the perfect size to fit in my hand. It is made from silicone so it is 100% waterproof and can even be used in the shower. I really loved that the charger is actually a little wireless dock; so all I had to do was charge the dock in advance, and then pop the cleansing device onto the wireless charger after I used it for it to recharge; this was really convenient. The charging dock was also great so that I didn't have to leave the cleansing device sitting directly on the bathroom bench after I used it (which probably makes it more hygienic). The cleansing device itself is covered in little soft silicone bristles, so that when you use it in circular motions they get all the dirt and oil out of your skin as well as lightly exfoliating at the same time. I used it with a cleanser as part of my morning and night routine and found that it gave my skin a really deep clean and also removed dead skin cells that normally cleansing with a towel wouldn't do. It really is a great quality item that is portable and really easy to use, so I highly recommend this one.

It is super easy to use, waterproof, it’s compact & even such a cute colour!! It comes with a charging pad & one charge lasts you weeks and weeks! My skin feels really really clean afterwards, it completely removes all traces of make up, oil & dirt. The texture feels like a light exfoliation but definitely gentle enough to use daily. To be completely honest I didn’t have the highest expectations of this product and thought it was most likely going to be a bit gimmicky. But oh boy oh boy HOW I WAS WRONG! After I used this my face felt so beautifully smooth! A smoothness you cannot achieve from some crappy physical exfoliating cleanser with harsh walnut granules that feel like they’re creating micro tears in your skin! This is so gentle yet so effective. I use chemical exfoliants quite frequently yet the smooth feeling I get from using this just doesn’t quite compare! Plus I get less irritation from this too! Your skincare afterwards just applies so well, and I really feel like im getting the most out of my products because I can just feel my skin drinking it up, rather than just sitting on the top layer of my skin as it struggles to penetrate to deeper epidermal layers. I frequently use retinol as well and so that means my skin peels. You cant get rid of this peeling skin with physical scrubs (um, ouch!) nor have I had too much success with chemical exfoliants to remove those balling up bits of skin. Ive only had success with microfibre cloths, like the face halo, to effectively remove those little bits of dead skin. However, it requires a bit of rubbing and pulling and my skin feels quite raw and irritated afterwards. When I use this during a retinol peeling phase though, my skin is way less irritated and it removes all that peeling skin so effectively. It doesn’t just cause more of it to ball up and make it worse, as I initially thought, it actually quite effectively and gently removes the dead peeling layer and leaves the baby soft smooth retinol infused skin beneath! It’s my new favourite way to prevent the embarrassing peeling episodes I get from my retinol use. There’s a few speed settings to play around with, but to be honest, all of them have been quite effective! I glide it over each area of my face in a circular motion and cleanse for a good minute and a half. What I love most about it is that if I spend a good amount of time focussing on my nose and chin I see a real difference in my blackheads, it’s amazing! Although blackheads are recurring and require constant effort to get rid of them, if you use this you’ll see results literally straight after. The pores look so clean and it’s the perfect time to apply a BHA chemical exfoliant as it can penetrate deep into the clean pore and help prevent the quick formation of new blackheads. If you used this and a BHA straight after like 3-4 times a week, I believe you can considerably change the appearance of your blackheads :) I think once a day use it perfectly fine! It says twice, but if you have any sort of skin sensitivity, or if you use actives in your skincare routine, then once a day should be plenty for you. I love the wireless charging plate as well, makes it super easy and convenient to charge, love it!

The only electronic cleanser I’ve used was a big brush-style one years ago so I was so keen to see how this one went. I wear makeup and sunscreen every day so it’s always super important to me that I feel as though I’m properly cleansing my skin and this helped so much!!! Not only is it so easy to use, with only two buttons on the whole device, but it’s a cute colour and super easy to charge! I felt like it helped to clean my face so much better than just using my hands. Ive been reading the other reviews and have noticed how everyone is raving about the heat function but I was a bit too scared to use it, especially as I use this in the shower.. however, I’ve been convinced to try it!! Highly recommend!

After using the Manicare Sonic Facial Cleanser I'm definitely a convert. It has soft silicone fingers that gently clean your skin with sonic pulsations. It's rechargeable, and comes with a cute little stand. It has 9 adjustable intensities. I definitely noticed a difference in my skin after using it - my skin was so soft and clean afterwards. Great design in a pretty pastel purple, easy to hold and use also easy to charge and store via the supplied dock and usb cable. I enjoyed the feeling of the soft silicone bristles which are able to get into all the curves and corners of your face. I loved that this is waterproof and I now use it every day for cleansing! Definitely worth adding into your routine for a thorough cleanse to get rid of impurities. I enjoyed the intensive setting and found my skin is not irritated at all.

I absolutely love the lilac purple for the product. The product was extremely easy to use with the guidance of the manual and very comfortable to hold in one hand. I've been using this product for a couple weeks now and has fitted into my skincare routine for everyday usage now. I use the cleanser in the shower & over the basin with ease. I find when I use this product in conjunction with my cleansing gel makes my skin easier to clean without irritating my skin. I love that there is an option to have the thermal warm button, it makes my skin feel well treated. Only tweak I would make is for the heat to be a little stronger. I would highly recommend this thermal cleanser to my friends and family. I will use this product until it breaks. Love the product; plain and simple.

It’s so easy to use, it’s battery lasts me for 3 weeks at a time, and it’s so easy to charge. I really love all the different speeds that are super easy to change and are so easy to adapt to different liquid cleansers! The heating option is so nice too because it helps your pores to open more so you get a really cleanse which leaves your skin so soft after using. Its water proof so I just leave it in the shower and then when I use it I put my liquid cleanser right on it. I’m definitely going to continue using this cleaner everyday so I highly recommend this investment for your skin!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The thermal sonic cleanser is an amazing device and in my opinion I believe that everyone should have one to use. The device is light, easy to charge and use. There are a few level of intensity to choose from, it doesn’t hurt and cause me any irritation after use. It removes dead cells and decongest the pores without having to scrub your face hard and digging your nails into remove all the dead cells. After using it, it leaves my skin feeling super soft and smooth. This device also has a heating element option and is waterproof, so I don’t need to care about breaking it. I love this device and it will be part of my daily skincare regime from now on.

You could choose many different levels of vibration and there’s even patterns that you could choose. The texture of the small spikes are very friendly and helpful in order to get rid of the dirt and and oil on your face. It easily makes bubbles. I put cleaner on two sides of the spikes and add some water and rub it on my face. Bubbles are coming out non-stop. But it might depend on the cleanser you use. It also provides you with a small disk to recharge your cleanser when it runs out of battery. It’s so convenient to use I love it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you very much to Beauty Crew and Manicare for the opportunity to trial the Manicare Salon Thermal Sonic Cleanser. I have to admit this trial was a challenge for me. Unlike many people my age, I tend to have my feet firmly planted in the 17th century, so any piece of technology has me baffled and intimidated. Although I eventually managed to master the mechanics, it took me weeks, with long periods of avoidance. The sonic cleanser comes carefully packaged in a box within a box, so it is well protected from harm. The outer box does have some instructions on it, but for a techno-phobic like myself, it is far too little. The charging pod is a small, silver, circular disc while the sonic cleanser itself is a purple silicon flat ball with bristles. It was quite an attractive combination. My first challenge was working out what to do with the cord, as there was no plug for the power point. I did, eventually, find a suitable plug, but that took a good two weeks. I would have loved a warning on the box that there was no plug, and a description of the type of plug needed. Then I had to work out how to charge up the cleanser. I had never seen a charging pod before and was clueless what to do with it. The first time, I charged the pod but did not have the sonic cleanser on it. When it didn’t work I thought the machine was faulty. As there are no instructions on the box, I looked online, but I found no instructions about how to charge the cleanser – just that I should charge it for 3 hours before first use. At last, I found a sentence that said I should leave the cleanser on the pod with the bristles facing upward. So I tried that and it worked. I am going into such detail about my struggles because there seems to be an assumption that all users of this machine will be literate about how to charge it without any instructions. This may not be the case and I would wholeheartedly recommend putting some instructions in the box. Okay, so the instructions about how to use the machine were again sketchy on the box but there is a video online which demonstrates this. There were also some instructions on the Manicare website. So I bit the bullet and switched it on. I almost dropped it, as the sensation of electric pulses going up my arm was completely foreign. A warning about what to expect would have been appreciated. We are now more than a month down the track and I finally take it into the shower. From this point, the instructions on the box are clear. You moisten your skin, apply your cleanser directly onto the bristles, press power for 3 seconds and gently glide the sonic cleanser around your face in circular motions. The Manicare Sonic Cleanser is a very convenient machine. If you place the pod in a dry spot in the bathroom, you can just seat the cleanser on top and it will take up a minimum amount of space. Although the pod can’t be placed in water, the machine can, which means you can use it under the shower, which is where many people cleanse their face. The recommendation is to use it with a cleanser that foams, but I find that such cleansers dry my skin out, so I always use a cream cleanser. I found that the machine worked fine with my usual cleanser, so I was not tempted to buy another brand. The sonic cleanser has three speeds, but in all honesty, I found the lowest speed was fine and the higher speeds were a bit rough for me, so I stuck with the first speed. I tried out the warming function, but again, I did not find it added anything to the experience. Only the central metal studs got warmer, and these barely touch my face, so it made little difference. Perhaps in winter I would have enjoyed it more, but that’s for a future experiment. Overall, once I relaxed into the experience, I found using the sonic cleanser a pleasant experience. The gentle pulse of the bristles on my face gave my skin a lovely massage. I was able to turn the sonic cleanser at an angle and to reach the sides of my nose. Someone with a smaller nose may have more difficulty, but I am blessed with a prominent hook, so the sonic cleanser glided around the angles fine. My skin didn’t really look cleaner after use, but it did feel noticeably softer. The cleanser was also easier to wash off, and there was less residue left on my face. The sonic cleanser is easy to keep clean – just wipe any residue off the machine, dry it, and put it back on the pod. And it only has to be charged every couple of months if you use it as directed, twice a day for one minute. Would I recommend this to others? In truth, I have nothing to compare it to, and my experience is probably atypical of those who would consider buying it. I can say it works, it is a pleasant experience using it, and it is a convenient machine. But if you have never used one before, make sure you know what to do before you part with your money.

Long life battery, can use about more than a week. My face has been improving with less wrinkle, cleaner, feel fresh and strong. Compare to others, very good in general. Just the button is hard to press to start the machine. I have to take 2 times to start it all the time. And the button next to it, can not feel much different with it so I dont know what it uses for. But also hard to press on it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works really well, don't try to wing it though I'm just going to go straight into the effects of this. I've used it for just one week now and my skin is definitely showing the effects. Pores are smaller, skin has a nice glow and feels very smooth. The vibration is like a gentle massage for the face, and I like the glow it gives me so much I'm now using it twice a day (started off just doing it in the evening). It's definitely not intuitive though and it took me several goes to work out how to use it - ultimately requiring me to go on the website as the button needs to be held down for a bit and has 3 modes - gentle, regular and deep cleansing, and none of that is obvious (and the button isn't so easy to press with wet hands). I still haven't been able to work out the heating - I can see the colour has changed to orange but there was no difference in heating that I could feel. All that notwithstanding, the unit is a nice hand size, and is cut and easy to hold and use - very lightweight, charges quickly and holds the charge for a long time. I do feel my serum soaks in better after using this and that my skin feels cleaner and brighter without needing any harsh exfoliants. Overall, this is a terrific facial cleanser but definitely could use some printed instructions in the pack - I shouldn't have to go online and watch videos to work it out.

The addition of heating is great for pushing the Cleanser deeper into my skin and giving me a nice and thorough clean. I only rate 4 stars due to the actual heat element being raised enough that it is basically in line with the bristles, and the bristles being shorter than the former model that upon contact with the skin, in order to feel the warmth on your face you end up red all over from the metal element rubbing your head. This is uncomfortable while cleansing my forehead. I got this 40% off from priceline for a cool $40 with a priceline voucher bringing the price down to $35 which is significantly lower than the Foreo Luna price point of $295, and works the charm. I do love the fact that it doesn't need to connect to your phone to operate however the buttons are a bit tough sometimes that I spend a few seconds just trying to turn the device on and then turn the heat on which sometimes instead turns the device off.. but this is a minor issue and I still feel this little cleansing brush is a 100% necessary item for your skincare routine. The device comes with a tiny little base for wireless charging, and can be easily cleaned with a silicone Cleanser to keep thr device clean and in turn prevent breakouts from left over debris. Highly recommend this to anyone considering buying a facial cleansing brush especially for the low price point - though would definitely recommend waiting to see it on special at priceline

Sonic cleansers are advertised to help give the skin a deeper cleanse. I haven't noticed a considerable difference however I really enjoy the experience, it feels so relaxing and soothing! Perhaps with longer use I will be able to attest to the long term results. It's waterproof, making it super convenient to use in the shower. Super easy to cleanse and it's also very aesthetic! Would highly recommend if you're looking to pamper yourself or step up your skincare routine.

Simple easy to use, small enough that it’s easy to hold, easy to charge with the supplied dock and usb cable. Ive been enjoying the feeling of the soft silicone bristles. It’s great to use in the shower and I now use it every second day for cleansing! The warming function, which heats the cleanser device up to 40C, is a good idea but I found it quite useless while using the product in the shower. Definitely worth adding into your routine for a thorough cleanse to get rid of impurities and excess oil.

I found this cleanser to be a really nice addition to my daily skincare routine. It has a 180min running time after a 3 hour charge, which lasts forever, plus it has a really cute wireless charging pad which looks cool in the bathroom. The device itself has small silicon bristles for cleasing deep in the skin, and silicon is antibacterial which makes it so much better compared to other traditional electrical makeup cleaning brushes. The device has three speed settings, which help for a vigorous and deep clean. It also has a heat setting, although I wasn't too fond of this - considering the device is fully waterproof and I use it to cleanse my face in the shower, I didn't get huge use out of the heat setting when the warm water of my shower does the job anyway. For me, a device that is dedicated to full heat cleansing like the popular Foreo UFO works better in the heat option, and a silicon cleansing device as a separate regimen. However, I can see the appeal of the heat setting to others who may cleanse deeply in the morning and find the warmth enjoyable. Overall this was a really nice item and I would definitely recommend this to a friend or buy it as a gift - although I may ask them before if they want the heat setting, and if not I wouldn't deny them the option of another popular silicon face cleanser brand that is more simple.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from effective cleansing tool I got this because I wanted to see what a sonic cleansers would be like before I dropped a couple of hundred dollars on one. I am glad I tried this, because it has made me realise they probably aren't for me. I am not saying it's bad, I just found that it was not something that I would really use that often. I am pretty low maintenance when it comes to my skin care routine, like cleanse in the shower, then moisturise when I get out. This just added an extra step that I don't think I needed. Sure, my skin was smooth and clean feeling after, but didn't really feel all that different to how my skin feels after using a face scrub. I just found it an extra product for no real gain.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Maybe more gimmicky than effective I’m still unsure if it actually works or not. The heat option might as well not be on there as I certainly don’t feel it. It feels nice on the face with the vibrations and hundreds of soft little nubs, but whether it actually is cleaning and scrubbing, who knows. I absolutely hate the ‘buttons’ on it. So hard to see and press In especially if you don’t have good hand/finger strength like myself. Personally I prefer my konjac sponge.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good introduction to sonic cleansers I was lucky enough to buy this from the Beauty Heaven Rewards Room and while i think it's a good device, it's very basic and i feel for the price, there are better devices out there. I do think the size of this is great, it fits in the palm of your hand and doesn't take up a lot of room in the shower or while recharging. There are three speeds but i haven't noticed any difference in results when using the different speeds so i usually stick to the lowest speed as that seems to do the trick. There are no detailed instructions so it's difficult to know how long to use this for, how often and what speed suits certain skin types. While charging there is no indication (like a light) of when it's finished charging or if it's charged at all. I find it tricky to use on and around my nose, the shape just doesn't work for creases around the face, which is a shame as that is my problem area with pores. The packaging says this device heats up to 40 degrees however the heat is barely noticeable and it's only after having the heat setting on for 3 to 5 minutes that i feel any heat at all, and it's more like the slightest warmth you would get from a battery buzzing right in the middle of the device, I feel like it shouldn't be described as thermal. i feel that for the price the device should do more than 3 speeds of vibrating and be able to reach all areas of your face. It's great if you can find it on sale but i would put this in the same category as basic vibrating cleansers i have purchased for around $30. I think this would be well suited to someone who didn't have visible pores and hadn't used a vibrating cleanser before.
