It goes on smooth and creamy then dries to a semi-matte finish. Its not drying at all and is super comfortable, I forgot I was wearing it. I have found in the past that some matt lipsticks can be super drying on my lips and I tend to get a lot of flaking. I didn't have that with the Revlon Ultra HD Matte, my lips stayed soft all day. It also passed the food and drink test. This lippy surprisingly has a delicious vanilla caramel scent. The range is nice nude natural shades that can easily go with any look day or night. This will definitely be part of my everyday makeup kit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These lipsticks are vibrant, long lasting and extremely hydrating. loved the look and feel of these creamy lip colours. For a matte finish, surprisingly it had a great feel that didn't dry out my lips. It had an even colour coverage and as the colour faded, it also faded evenly. It had a nice and not so overpowering flavour. The applicator was easy to use and the lip colour was very easy to apply. It glided on effortlessly with a clean finish, no liner required. Easy to use while on the go and easy to correct. This product was also very easy to remove at the end of the day. I received 3 colours, two of which is rather similar, nude tones, not something I would normally wear as it made me look a bit washed out. The other more vibrant colour was lovely. The lipstick colours transfer on my lips just as it looked in the tube. Overall great product, would definitely continue using. Thanks for the opportunity to review.

Overall I enjoyed applying all three shades, the scents for all three were fab! Personally 982 was my favourite, the shade colour was long lasting, the texture was great, the scent was lovely- no faults. This colour was a darker colour of the three. I found 981 and 980 blended into my natural lip colour and it didn’t seem like I was wearing the lip colour. It looked more of a gloss. Generally I purchase a darker nude colour. But other than that, the lip colour lasted a good amount of time, only reapplied after lunch ( but I generally do after any lipstick so that’s no fault to the product). I enjoyed them and overall would repurchase again. I will look at other colours in the range to see if others fit my colour tone better but on formula grounds defs a repurchase.

The Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor Naked Mattes gave me the perfect touch of colour without looking like I needed something else to blend it together. I received 981 Bare Down in my trial and I found it was the best match for my olive skin tone and my personal preference for neutral colours. From the sleek shape of the bottle to the smooth sponge tip applicator wand, this product is perfect for my ‘on the go’ lifestyle. The liquid is rich & creamy but still feels light on application and the matte finish makes it perfect for any day wear. The colour was still present after eating and drinking but I chose to reapply as I love the look and feel of it. I would recommend this product to anyone, whether it is for a formal or casual look, as I think it is a product that will take you anywhere.

I have used a number of other Matte lip colours (other Brands) and this is by far the best one I have come across yet! The Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolour Naked Mattes are beautifully packaged, the frosted tube allows you to see the true shade and I was able to find the perfect nude colour for my skin tone. The lipcolour glides on your lips easily, sets quick without drying out or feeling too thick and heavy . The colour lasts for quite a long time, fading to leave a nice tint on the lips. I will definitely continue using this product and highly recommend it.

I've tried three colours – ‘Frisky’, ‘Bare Down’, and ‘Cheek to Cheek’ – all very complementary shades to my pale skin and dark features. The bottle is chic and sleek, making it perfect to pop in a small handbag or your pocket if you’re on the run. Application was very easy, and I often found myself using the in-built applicator wand instead of a separate brush like I have to do with some other products. The product feels very smooth and creamy on the lips. And I also found the scent really lovely and a nice touch – yummy enough to eat! Now let’s chat wear. Nobody wants to spend their day re-applying, nor do they want to look in the mirror at 3pm to see a scaly mess puckering back at you. I’m pleased to say this is not the experience I had with these lipsticks – cue the champagne! Initially, I didn’t find any bleeding or residue on my teeth when I applied the colours. While I did need to freshen up after eating lunch or drinking a few cups of coffee, (which is to be expected) it still would’ve left a subtle tint on my lips if I hadn’t of reapplied. I also didn’t find it drying like some other matte lipsticks and I didn’t get that thick, crusty feeling if I did feel like applying a few times throughout the day. It left my lips feeling smooth, hydrated and light, which is exactly what I’m looking for in a good lipstick. I would definitely recommend this product and will be making sure it's a regular staple in my kit. Top marks across the board – packaging, shades, application, and longevity. Well done Revlon!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nicole M. from Nice matte lip colours without drying my lips [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I trialled three colours as part of the Beauty Crew free trial - 980 Cheek to cheek, 981 Bare down, and 982 Frisky. All the colours were of a similar colour pallet and were a little too “full on” for me to wear during the day, however they looked nice when worn at night. I would prefer a lighter, pinky nude for day time use but did not get to sample that shade. What I can say is the lip colours felt nice on my lips. Although they are matte My lips did not feel dry, even in these cooler months. I would like to try a lighter colour that suits my skin tone more and will consider purchasing. Would recommend to others, especially if you can pick them up on sale.

The feel is great too. It did not feel dry or flaky on my iips. I like the Matte look as it dose not have the shine and looks much more natural. I felt that I didn't need to keep touching up the color. I have used three of the nude browns and loved them. I was lucky to get to try these via Beauty crew and will buy them. I think they are a great value for money as I am a lip gloss wearer. I found these have the benefit of easy application like a lip gloss but with the look and feel of a lip stick. I generally love the Revlon brand and products and this lip color dose not disappoint.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Leonie C. from Soft matte finish [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent three shades of the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor Naked Mattes to trial - 980 Cheek to Cheek, 981 Bare Down and 982 Frisky. These liquid lipsticks have a clear frosted casing so the shades of the lipstick can be seen. I usually wear shades of mauve, deep pink, plum or anything with a blueish undertone so I thought I would be stepping out of my comfort zone by wearing these ‘naked’ shades. Cheek to Cheek and Bare Down are similar light brownish shades on me and surprisingly they don’t look too bad at all. Frisky looks more like a deep peachy shade and it took me a while to get used to the colour but I now think it is my favourite of the three shades, plus it works perfectly as a beautiful blush on my fair skin. The sponge applicator is easy to use and creates a nice line when applying the lipstick. The formula is thick when first applied but spreads evenly over the lips creating a nice soft matte finish. It takes a while for the formula to dry down and when it does my lips still feel moist rather than dry. I’ve applied the lipstick over a lip moisturiser and also on its own and I’ve had no problem with bleeding. The formula makes my lips look plumper – which is a good thing. The lipstick wears well, doesn’t transfer to my coffee cup or glass and half disappears when I eat a meal but enough colour remains to show that I’m wearing lipstick. All in all, I am more than happy to recommend these lipsticks. I’m so glad I was given the opportunity to trial these three shades because normally I would never have chosen them myself.

I found the product was easy to use and apply, and the packaging/bottle was nice. I received a few different shades and also found them to be complementary to my olive skin tone. I found the product itself lasted for a reasonable amount of time on my lips and I didn't mind the subtle scent. The texture also felt nice on my lips. Overall I would recommended this product to someone who is looking for a Matte lipstick that feels nice on your lips, lasts long, and doesn't dry your lips out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Judy M. from Smooth as silk [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lip colour case was a nice surprise, very sleek and modern with the see through frosted base, making it easy to find my preferred colour in my makeup bag The colours received were closely toned and perfect for winter wear, my favourite was Bare Down, as it was the most nude shade, easy application with a smooth finish and the colour lasted most of the day without the need of having to reapply constantly throughout the day. The subtle slightly fruity, slightly coconut scent was quite pleasant. I experimented with and without a lip liner to see if the colour bled and was impressed without using a lip liner as the colour tended to stay put, but for a sharp edge better using a lip liner. Also applied a clear gloss, which did make the colour lift quicker. Felt very moisturising and light on my lips and would definitely recommend if wanting a matte shade that doesn’t appear dry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Magdalena B. from Long lasting, great coverage, great price [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lipstick goes on very easily and smoothly with its sponge applicator and smells sweet - vanilla mango (almost a bit too sweet, though the scent dissipates quickly). It takes a few minutes to fully dry but isn't sticky, and once dry I didn't experience any cup transfer which is great as I tend to leave lipstick rings everywhere, and it's very nice not to have that. The feel is very light and although it's a true matte with a very dry feel, it doesn't dry out the lips - something I'm very prone to. The shades of the Naked Mattes are definitely neutral moving between completely nude on my lips to a very slight hint of peach that lifts my skin a bit. I prefer a darker lip but these also work well as a base and can either be built to slightly darker shades (I find it darkens a bit through the day anyway) or layered with other glossier colours or balm for different tones and a slightly dewier look. You can also lift the colour later by using a balm which I also recommend. With regular balm (not too glossy) I find I get half a day without having to reapply and then another application lasts the rest of the day. The colour stays true and feels good all day. Without the balm I find I get a little less, and my lips look dry though don't feel bad. All in all these are great, well-priced (look for sales!) lipsticks with a good colour payoff and long last.

But i did have to reapply through out the day. The Formula could have been a bit more moisturising. I know it was a matte lipcolor but i do like a bit of shine to my lips .Overall i did love the matte Velvety finish this lipcolour gave me and would recommend this Revlon Ultra HD lipcolor to my family and friends. It would suit a lot of people with light olive skin like me. The lipcolour is super light on the lips, easy to apply (I could do it while watching Loki and not paying total attention to what I was doing in the mirror). The smell was a surprise, kind of like bubblegum. Being a matt, I thought it would last a lot longer than it did. It transferred pretty easily on my face mask and after drinking. But you can't have everything, eh?

They were very smooth and hydrating when applied to the lips for the first time. Unfortunately for my darker complexion these nudes colours were too pale and the coverage for my lips was not optimum. This product would be suitable for the lovely ladies who are after something very hydrating and soft but not much coverage. This is a nice, smooth hydrating and creamy lipstick but I would not describe it as matte.

Packaging is cute and I like the light frost Matt effect accompanied by the silver lid. The brush is soft and especially liked how easily product glides of the brush. The colours I received included Cheek to Cheek, Bare Down and Frisky. Favourite is definitely Frisky as really compliments my olive skin and glam look I used it with. Positives: texture really smooth, almost fruity (berry) scent, great shine without the need gloss over the top, price point is great Negatives: this definitely didn’t have a Matt finish on my lips, easily transferred to glass (while having a sip of water) and I had to top up twice in a short one hour period. Overall, love the colour selection and scent. I would recommend cheek to cheek for everyday wear. However wouldn’t recommend this for all day or long night out if you don’t want to keep topping up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sarah Z. from Creamy and pigmented but not long lasting [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly, I found the colour of each product to be very pigmented - all 3 colours received (Bare Down, Frisky & Cheek to Cheek) were quite dark on me (for context I have medium brown hair, green eyes and light-medium skin tone) and I found them to be quite brown, almost orangey. If I was at the shops selecting a lip colour, I personally wouldn't have chosen any of these shades for myself. The product however was very easy to use and apply. It was a good size for even a small handbag on a night out, and could probably even fit in a pocket of your jeans or a coat. The applicator shape was small and precise enough to apply well, including even the cupids bow. The formula was quite creamy which surprised me, unlike traditional matte lip products which go dry instantly on contact and can be difficult to spread. This has a slight sheen/gloss, which you can always blot off with a tissue for a more matte finish if you prefer. I was slightly disappointed as I did not find the formula long lasting at all on me - I applied at 8am, by 9.30am a significant amount had rubbed off on my coffee cup and it wasn't long for the rest to disappear as well. I would recommend this to someone who doesn't mind frequent touch ups of their makeup during the day, but if looking for a long lasting and matte lip product, probably not.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rating is difficult as the shades I was sent are anything but my idea of colour for me. It is a shame that trial team members aren't given a choice of tone - pink, red, brown, burgundy for example. The three shades I received are incredibly similar and while I appreciate fully the offer of three different lipsticks the shades are so similar it really doesn't provide me with three different choices. My colours were brown/orange, not what I would consider nude. I prefer my lip products to be unscented but these have a definite fragrance. It isn't awful, just unnecessary, in my opinion. The lipstick is housed in a tube with an applicator that makes applying simple. The texture is good and even but the colour intensified on me instantly so that it was so intense and "in your face" it was ghastly. As already stated, the colours are anything but what I feel comfortable with so that makes judgement difficult. Revlon states that it is a "lightweight, velvety lip colour that glides on using a cushion wand applicator." It is Made in USA, which is a plus. I realise it is often good to go "out of your comfort zone" but if the effect is incredibly unflattering I see no benefit. As much as I appreciate the opportunity to trial these I can't help but be disappointed because the colours I received are not ones I would consider flattering and wearable for many people.
