What are SensoPearls™?
At Medela Baby, we want our products to make every gesture more gentle, intimate and assured. Baby skin is sensitive and we strive to make all our products gentle to the skin. SensoPearls™ are smooth little nubs on the inside of the shield of all our soothers. They are placed on the top and bottom of the shield to reduce - in addition to the air holes - the risk of redness and irritation on your little one's delicate skin.

How do I use the Medela Baby Steribox to clean my soothers?
When a sterilisation box is included with your soother, it can be used to sterilise your Medela Baby soother in the microwave. Please follow these instructions:

Before use, remove any stickers from the box and wash the soother and box with warm water. Then follow these steps:

Fill water up to the marker 10 ml/0.3 fl.oz for 1 soother or 25 ml/0.9 fl.oz for 2 soothers.

Place the soother(s) in the box.
Close the box and sterilise the soother for 3 minutes in the microwave (max. 1000 W).

Allow to cool for a minimum of 3 min before opening the sterilising box.
Squeeze out any residual water from the soother teat.

WARNING: Take extra care when handling and opening the sterilising box. Hot steam from within the box can cause burns. Always check the temperature of the soother before use.

The midwife gave me one of theirs and it worked. She showed me the difference in teats and compared it to a nipple which explained why he didn’t want this small and relatively flat soother

Water doesn’t get trapped inside like with other brands. Comes with a handy case for sterilising and keeping a couple in nappy bag, car, pram etc.

This is genius and I wish it had been around the first time! I really trust the Medela brand and it is a go to for our family. I just wish it was more cherry shaped as I tend to find they stay in better, so that’s the only downside.

These Medela soothers are the only ones that he likes and will take. We have tried multiple brands and these are his favourite. We stocked up and have some at home, in the car and pram now.

The silicone is nice and soft and is the texture he prefers. The all in one design offers peace of mind, knowing that there is no risk of it coming apart. They are also cute and have not interfered with breastfeeding. The only con is that they are slightly heavy and can fall out at times.

However, as a newborn, my baby preferred the cherry bulb dummies and wouldn't take this one. One month later, he'll take it for short periods but doesn't really like it. Also he's got a big mouth and when he's screaming, the whole dummy could nearly fit in his mouth!

Only really when my son was teething and wanted something soft to suck on. But these are easy to clean and sterilise and not any water seeping in.

They are an odd fit, Bub kept spitting it out as it didn’t seem to fit well in her mouth they are big and thick. I kept them as spares but still find it hard for her to take them even as she’s getting older.

The fit was oddly shaped and it kept falling right out of her mouth. It wasn’t as soft as other dummies. It does come with a case and you get two dummies instead of one compared to other brands.

I like the look and feel of the dummy, particularly the transparent silicone as it means it has an unobtrusive look to it when in use. However, my bub did not accept the dummy (or any at all) so won't be getting much use out of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent a Medela Baby Soft Silicone Soother to review during the Bump Box Trial & Review campaign. I found the soother to be smaller than others, which for some babies would be fantastic. I had a larger baby and he preferred the Tommee Tippee Ultra-Light Silicone Soother. He struggled to keep the Medela Soother in his mouth due to its size. He used it a few times between 1-2 months. The product is recommended from newborn to 2 months, so it doesn’t have the same use as other similarly marketed dummies. I would only recommend it to a friend if their baby was premature or a smaller newborn.

Everytime I put the dummies in mouth, she either cries or spits it out.I like the idea of these dummies...it's single body and easier to clean as well but my baby just doesn't like the teat shape.She prefers Cherry shaped and we moved onto another brand
