There is nothing to keep them in place, they just rest on your teeth so it’s up to the wearer to keep their mouth shut to hold them in place. Perhaps better suited to someone with a wide jaw?

I don't think I grind anymore or any harder than the average person who would purchase these, and when I take the guards out in the morning I have nearly bitten right through the plastic -- as in I have chewed holes in the plastic. This is a choking hazard because parts of these guards are likely to fall off in your sleep. Be prepared to only use these guards once each for safety reasons.
