SKIN by Gillette Razor is specifically designed for men with sensitive skin and razor bumps.
 The razor shaves hair and guards skin due to its unique SkinGuard positioned between the blades. It works to minimize tug and pull and cut hair at skin level, helping to prevent irritation. The razor provides gentle exfoliation benefit.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS (1) Use daily to wash face. (2) Gently lather on hands and massage onto moistened face. (3) To use Skin by Gillette as shave cream, shave as you normally would and rinse after. Recommendation: For a great experience, use with Gillette Skin Razor with breakthrough Skinguard comb technology.

Having sensitive skin on my neck I was eager to test this product. I did find that having fewer blades meant I would shave over the same spot a few more times than with a razor with more blades. Normal blades would sometimes leave my neck a little red, however the Skin razor soothed my skin and never left my skin red it was soft and smooth with a good clean shave. I would recommend this to anyone who suffer from razor rash or with sensitive skin.

The only issue I had was that about 20 minutes after shaving my face became really itchy. I used the same shaving cream I’ve always used so it must have been the razor.

The blades have a large gap between them which made it easy to clean out, and prevented cutting mistakes. On a 5mm beard I found I had to do two passes to get a close shave, but did find less issues with razor burn and ingrown hairs.

The razor is very ergonomic and the blades stayed sharp for about 7 shaves. The razor did struggle with shaving longer growth and I had to go over the area several times. I usually use razors that have 3 or more blades and I think this would make this a better product. If you shave everyday or second day then this razor works well and as I said before leaves your kin feeling fresh.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Premium razor, underwhelming shave [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to like this razor since it has a lot of promise in the name, and it's refreshing to see a razor that doesn't rely on adding more blades to the cartridge to act as a selling point (Gilette Mach 12 anyone?). Unfortunately, for me, it didn't really follow through. The let-downs started with the packaging, which while premium looking, had instructions for how to wash your face rather than how to use the razor. The razor itself feels premium too, thanks mostly due to its weight. The main problem I found was with the quality of the shave. I found I had to go over the same patch of skin multiple times to remove all the hair, especially on the neck - which just increases the irritation rather than reduces it. I also found that edging was quite tricky because the top blade is so far away from the end of the cartridge. It made it difficult to figure out how far to go. I've used a safety razor or a Mach 3 for a while prior to testing this, and I'll definitely be going back to those.

My usual razor, a Gillette Proglide, leaves my face smooth and fresh. I was not sure what to expect from the Exfoliating Razor but after using it for a few weeks, just felt I was getting a better, closer shave from my other razor.
