I find most have an overly tight elastic waist to them, so much so I size up. However with these I would say buy true to size and they have a very stretchy waist to them. They stay up well even when sleeping in them, are very comfortable, are a full coverage style great for periodbtime and I have had no leaks!

I have always though period undies were not for me and have been hesitant to try! The material was very comfortable and I never felt grossed out or disgusted as it absorbs really well. On occasion I completely forgot I was on my period. The full briefs were great for at home and aren’t thick around the band at the top of the undies. I do prefer the bikini briefs for day wear as they are more suited to my clothing and are what I am use to. Much more convenient then wearing a pad or tampon in which now I’ll never go back to them. The undies washed really well in a wash bag and didn’t have any visible fluff or damage after washing, they looked as good as new after 3 washes and with the added benefit of reducing landfill I can honestly say I’ll be purchasing more!

One thing to be aware of is that they are quite high waisted which I wasn't used to but other than that I would definitely recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THINX reusable period undies are an absolute life saver! i tested them in all scenarios from heavy to light flow, from overnight to during the day wear, from lazy days at home to crazy nights on the town. the proved themselves as discreet, comfortable and leak-proof, no matter how heavy the flow or how long i wore the underwear i never felt wet or “gross”. the undies were super easy to wash, dry and re-wear - though it’s not recommended they did take an accidental trip through the dryer and survived just fine (thank god!). i will note these underwear feel less like you’re every day underwear and more like your everyday underwear plus a pad, it still has a thick centre (obviously to keep you clean and dry) but once you’ve popped them on you don’t notice it in the way you would a pad, there’s no sticky corners, rolling, sweating or itchiness.

I’m super confident wearing these throughout the day and they wash and re-wear as good as new. They feel no different to regular underwear, though I would size up if in between sizes due to the snug fit that makes them so reliable. I really love how much waste I’ve been able to reduce since owning these compared to the single use alternatives, without compromising on reliability or comfort. I have and would highly recommend this product!

Using the reusable period undies they were like normal underwear however a little thicker but comfortable. The undies were easy to wear, no leaks, no fuss; Easy to wash and I felt secure wearing them out, without thinking there would be a leak. Personally I will buy these again because they are eco friendly by being reusable but also functional and a great daily addition for when its that time of month.

A friend convinced me to try another brand and I ended up liking the idea but didn't love how they felt. When I tried the U by Kotex THINX Undies I was pleasantly surprised - they are so thin and discreet and didn't feel like I was wearing a pad. They didn't show through my tights or jeans either bonus! They were really easy to wash (this is what I was most nervous about), with a simple rinse and into the washing machine with some antibacterial wash on cold as recommended. I would definitely recommend this for anyone to try, I only wish it was around sooner so I could have used them in those awful teenage puberty years... it would have made life a lot more simple and a lot less awkward!

With period briefs they are meant to be a bit tighter to prevent against leaks. I felt safe against leaks in them and felt they absorbed well and were easy to clean.

Some users may find it uncomfortable to change in public though, so would not recommend for heavy flow days when you will be out of the house for a long time, because it doesn’t come with a wet bag to contain. But great for wearing around the house, or on more manageable days. Chuck in the wash as per normal, which is great. I thinking I was still living with my parents and siblings though I would be a bit embarrassed about placing in the family wash load (but probably less embarrassing than sanitising a menstrational cup in the stove!) Great product for a reasonable price.
