This is my second Taav Vapouriser and it helps the kids so much when they have a sore throat, chesty cough or blocked nose. The best investment a parent can make with little ones and bigger ones 😉

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for blocked nose, stable base, lasts long It’s a bit bulky but very stable vaporiser because the base is specially designed to be very wide, which won’t be accidentally knocked down. Turned on before sleeping and it can sustain through the night even to the morning time. It’s not noisy, which I like very much and it’s a point which makes it superior compared to other humidifier eg sonic humidifier. One thing to notice is better to refill/drain it after it has been plugged out and have turned completely cool, because otherwise the leftover droplets near the steam outlet can instantly turn into steam which can cause burn. Also some brown/black residues are commonly found after each use mainly due to the minerals content have been “burnt” through use every time, and I think it’s normal in places where water is hard in nature. Plaques in nose have been soften and can become phlegm which can be swallowed and relieving blocked nose. Recommended although don’t know why the first machine that I got is faulty after 2 days’ use and I have to exchange for a new one, which lasted.

I also have the previous version but I find this easier to use and clean, lasts longer and produces a really good amount of steam. It’s also super quiet in my kids bedroom. I would definitely recommend.

My room became very humid and developed lots of black mould which made me even sicker.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I was expecting. Unfortunately the new design doesn't admit as much steam into the air as the previous design by TAAV. This would be better in a small room. The previous unit would keep the room warm, with condensation on the windows the next morning. They have however, made it easier clean with detachable parts and safter for people injuring themselves with a low base. Wouldn't recommend.
