Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and natural Firstly a big thank you to glow Lab and beauty heaven for a chance to trial this product as part of the natural beauty month trial team/event. This serum is a natural serum using a naturally derived alternative to retinol. As someone who found retinol a little too strong for regular use on my skin, I was interested to give this product a go. I am really pleased with the serum so far. It is a light serum, with a very slight oil like consistency that blends effortlessly into my skin. Some face oils can make my skin feel very hot, however I had no irritation with this product. It has a little pleasant non descriptive scent that was very unnoticeable for me. In terms of results, in such a short period of time, I couldn't be happier and I can noticeably see the reduction in my fine lines around my eyes. Can't wait to keep using this and seeing what happens

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I received the Glow Lab Age Renew retinol booster oil as part of the Natural beauty box, thank you BH! The oil comes in a cardboard box with the ingredient list and instructions clearly printed. It also has some good claims on the front of the box which would definitely encourage me to buy, including 31% decrease in wrinkle depth, increased collegan and reduces pigmentation, sounds just what I need. It contains Bakuchiol which is described as a natural alternative to retinal and I haven't heard of before. It doesn't contain nasties like parabens, sulphates, phthalates, silicone or mineral oil and is not tested on animals which is fantastic. The oil itself is in a brown glass bottle with a dropper dispenser, unfortunately the first few times I used it too much came out so be aware not to squeeze the dropper when using it! It is recommended to use 2 to 3 drops morning and night and can albe mixed in with your moisturiser. I prefer to use it underneath my night cream as I'm not keen on using oils in the morning but that is just my preference. After 2 weeks of using the oil my skin does feel soft, I don't think I can see any reduction in my wrinkles as yet but it is early days and I will definitely continue to use it as it feels so good on my skin. I probably will repurchase this oil as I am enjoying using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Results noticeable almost immediately I started using the Retinol* Booster Oil (which actually uses Bakuchiol, a naturally derived alternative) as part of my morning routine and the results are so great they're even noticeable to my colleagues in Zoom meetings! It comes in a classic dropper bottle, which allows you to control how much product you use. I apply it by adding a couple of drops to my fingers and then controlling the amount that I apply to my face. With this, I find less is more as I like to follow it with a hydrating day cream and don't want my face to stay too oily throughout the day. I have pretty dry skin naturally - using this in the morning helped reduce the visibility of fine lines on my face and I didn't have any dry or flakey skin in my usual problem areas! I love that this features a naturally derived ingredient and is paraben, sulfate, pthalate and all the other nasties-free, but most of all love the amazing results!! Will be purchasing again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect Antidote I have dry and sensitive skin, my main concerns are aging with fine lines, pigmentation and maintaining hydration levels. Glow Lab’s Age Renew Regenerating facial serum seems like the perfect antidote for my skin concerns. It is a very lightweight, anti-aging serum/oil, that is applied underneath my moisturiser daily. I used 2 to 3 drops to massage into my face and neck. The oil is absorbed easily and makes for a great base underneath my make-up and sun protection. I didn’t suffer from stinging or redness. I love that this combination of active, but natural ingredients target my fine lines and helping fade my pigmentation. My skin feels soft and hydrated, even in these harsh Winter months. It contains a natural retinal alternative Bakuchiol, so I was able to use it daily without needing to build up a tolerance to the product. As with all Glow Lab products they are a superior quality, containing no nasty ingredients and they are a joy to use. My complexion looks brighter, fresh, and healthy. My fine lines haven’t disappeared, but my skin does look plump and hydrated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely This product is Something i wanted to try but never bought myself so was happy to be given the opportunity to trial this. The packaging is lovely and luxurious. This product labelling clearly outlines the instructions and you don't need a huge amount so it will last awhile. If I had a little longer to trial the product before reviews were due as I could have written up more positive points with a little more time on my side. I would definitely recommend this to friends, family or acquaintances as its light weight and smells fresh and clean. I think it's great for me since having kids my skin has changed alot in many different ways and I could use this everyday or just here and there and it will last me awhile. Definitely loving both the serums I've trialled this time as my skin is soaking them up fast and obviously needs a serum Applied daily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glow Lab Age Renew Retinol * Booster Oil | **NOT RETINOL** 2021 Natural Beauty Month Trial Box reiview Thank you so much to Beautyheaven and Glow Lab for including this product in the Natural Beauty Month Trial Box! It really drives me NUTS that Glow Lab decided to call it a "RETINOL" Booster Oil. It does not contain any retinol at all!! NONE. ZILCH. ZIP. I posted a fabulous review on my social and so many people asked if they can use it because they are SCARED OF RETINOL - either because they have sensitive skin - or had bad experiences with retinol in the past. I had to explain again and again and again that this oil does NOT contain any retinol. This oil contains something called Bakuchiol. Bakuchiol has been "claimed" to be a "natural" alternative to retinol. So far there has been ONE single independent study claiming that the results between retinol and bakuchiol were somewhat comparable (there were qualifications. Such as Bakuchiol was used twice a day in this study, whereas retinol only once a day. Therefore, if the results were comparable, then retinol is a more potent product). At the end of the day retinol and bakuchiol are two different molecules altogether and possibly have very different actions on the skin. Retinol was backed by decades of independent research. Bakuchiol is a new-ish ingredient in comparison. This does not mean that bakuchiol is not legit. They are just different, and more studies on bakuchiol is needed. I just really wish that Glow Lab can rename this oil to Bakuchiol or something (anything!) less misleading. This oil is lovely and effective in its own rights (see below) - there is no need to lean on the "retinol" name. The oil is light weight. It isn't exactly a dry oil, but the feeling on skin is not heavy. The oil is quite runny so care is needed to apply. The instructions say apply 2-3 drops to face and I do about 5-6 drops to face and neck (never forger about the neck!) The trick for a good absorption is to apply it on wet skin (I spray a mist toner before applying). I also find that, for maximum result, leave the oil on skin for 10 minutes before further layering with moisturiser. Another way to use it is to mix the oil into moisturiser. Personally I don't like doing that as I like to make sure my skin gets active ingredients in the most concentrated way possible. Skin feels comfortable, very supple without a greasy feeling throughout the day. I only had 2 weeks to test this oil but I can already decide that this is an exceptionally lovely product. During the 2 weeks we had to test multiple products. On my face, I used Glow Lab Booster Oil and Essano Vitamin C serum together. I cannot attribute any changes in my skin to either product (I haven't had time to use them in isolation). However, what I can say is that, by using the Glow Lab Booster Oil (twice a day) together with Essano Vitamin C Concentrated Serum (twice a day) my skin feels smoother, softer, more supple and has more glow just in 2 weeks time. I am usually scientifically minded and determine to work out what works and what not, but, by looking at my skin right now, I don't know if I care :_D I'd be happy to keep using these 2 products together. I did have quicker, and probably even more obvious results with retinol previously - but what I used was about 5 times the price of this oil. The bottle is small (20mL). I do use a relatively large amount (5 drops each time, twice a day). However, it is such a good price ($17.5 when on sale in Woolies) that it works out a lot cheaper than many other bigger facial oil of comparable quality! I will choose this over many of the department store brands that I have previously tried.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fascinating booster oil I am always after anything that is anti-ageing, and this feels like the perfect product to behold. What is more, this booster oil has Retinol, which is widely known for its ability to reduce wrinkles and the appearance of fine lines. When I first used this, I was going through a very dry-skin period. I had perioral dermatitis, and the skin around my cheeks and mouth plus nose areas were very dry. I was using it more for the purpose of treating dry skin. What I loved about it, is it was really moisturising, which was what I desperately needed for my dry skin. Because of the Bakuchiol (natural retinol), it also helped with pigmentation. I applied some around the corners of my mouth (which were left dark after my perioral dermatitis, and they looked lighter the following day, which was a pleasant suprise. I will need to use it for more days for the result to be more accurate. But I recommend this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Retinol alternative I was lucky enough to be selected for the Natural Beauty Month trial team, which included the Glow Lab Age Renew Retinol* Booster Oil. It's worth pointing out that this product does NOT contain any Retinol. The hero ingredient is Bakuchiol, which is said to mimic the results of Retinol. It is a natural alternative to Retinol that doesn't cause some of the usual side effects associated with Retinol use, such as redness, irritation, and sensitivity. I couldn't find any information online as to what percentage Bakuchiol this product contained, however Glow Lab responded to my query promptly, and confirmed it contains between 1-3%. Research has shown that the beneficial concentration is at least 0.5-2%, so I was happy to learn that the product meets this criteria. I have rather sensitive skin, so a product that is comparable to Retinol without the irritation was very exciting for me. I apply the oil after my serum, or mixed in with my nightly moisturiser. On its own, the oil feels extremely lightweight on the skin, but still very nourishing. My skin feels silky smooth after application. It mixes nicely with moisturiser as well. There is a very light fragrance, which is not at all overpowering, and quite subtle. Overall, I really like this product, and can see myself re-purchasing once I run out.

Bakuchiol, which is sourced from the psoralea corylifolia or babchi plant, is being promoted as a gentler alternative to retinol. Bakuchiol has many benefits such as having anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, boosting collagen, improving skin texture and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. I am very grateful for the opportunity to trial the Glow Lab Retinol Booster Oil which contains bakuchiol. The oil is in a dark amber bottle with a dropper dispenser. The oil has a pale straw colour and it has a subtle scent. The oil seems to be slightly more lightweight than other facial oils so it could appeal to people with combination or oily skin. I have not seen any results from using the product on my dry skin because I have only been using it for two weeks. I am fifty-eight and I do not expect miracle results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from To retinol or not It is really odd that a product can use an ingredient’s name that doesn’t actually contain it, just mimics it. So I was a little suss. Then I read up on it and turns out a ingredient in the oil. Bakuchiol is apparently a natural to Retinol which has similar benefits. I can’t say it was long enough to know if it did decrease wrinkle depth as it purports. You would need to use at least a month or more. Though I can’t complain about this product. It went on well and I did feel very hydrated overall. You can use a few drops and lightly Massage on the face or mix with a moisturiser to save time in your skin care routine. I liked that at night it didn’t feel like it clogged my pores as some oils do, especially when I have the odd night sweat. I’m looking forward to see how it goes long term.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Jumping Bandwagons for I was delighted to receive this product as it was in oil form and my skin seems to get super excited at the whiff of oil. I have used Glow Lab products before and have not been disappointed, but this little oil will be a new addition to my regime and will be on repeat. The Glow Lab Age Renew Retinol Booster Oil was a great stater to my day. I am a newbie when it comes to serums and retinol, I have tried a few brands for each and still sat on the fence. However, this oil seems to really gel well with my skin type. I was a little worried about using retinol, however, this Glow Lab version has a natural alternative to retinal in the 'bakuchiol' that it is produced with and I think it suits potentially sensitive dry skin. I was worried about having a reaction, but I have been using this product for about three weeks and my skin has not reacted, in fact, it is feeling more moisturised and hydrated (not sure about the decrease in depth of wrinkles, but the branding does say use over 12 weeks, so I am only a quarter of the way in) I love that this is not a greasy oil, it seems to just melt into my skin and I have tried it over a number of different moisturisers yet it still absorbs well and sit nicely under any base.

As part of this trial team members were sent an assortment of products from various brands which are natural, organic, sustainable, eco friendly and ethically sourced. Glow Lab was included in the kit with their Retinol Booster Oil. The oil comes in a 20 ml glass dropper bottle. It has a light clear oil consistency. It is said to contain Bakuchiol which is a natural retinol alternative. Retinol has been a buzz ingredient in the beauty industry for years and is famed for its improvement on skins texture and improving the look of lines and wrinkles. Yes please!! This product is said to decrease wrinkle depth by 31% and is said to boost collagen and reduce pigmentation. I love Glow Lab as a brand. Their products feel luxurious yet don’t cost a small fortune. I have been using this mostly at night for a few weeks. It works beautifully with any moisturiser. I’m an avid oil user and this is another beautiful addition to my oils. My 40 plus aged skin has fine lines around the eyes and forehead. My skin felt hydrated and looked more radiant and refined. It’s a beautiful oil to use and has a six month after opening shelf life. I love it and will continue to use and hope to see a continued benefit. Loving the natural retinol alternative! Great product!

It’s actually based on the natural Retinol alternative Bakuchiol, which is known to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation. I usually use this product after face cleansing at night. It feels a little oily but it absorbs really well into my skin. I use 2-3 drops and massage into cleansed face using upward strokes. This oil feels so delicate and makes my skin looks smoother, and firmer. It did not irritate me at all. I love the fact that it is natural, with no parabens, sulphates, phthalates, silicones, mineral oils or other nasties. No animal testing either. Thank you Beauty Heaven for letting me be part of this trial team. I will definitely recommend this amazing Retinol booster oil to family and friends.

Most make grandiose anti-aging claims, but it is hard to tell if they actually do anything. In under two weeks of using Glow Lab’s Age Renew Retinol Booster Oil I noticed an improvement in the texture of my skin. It felt noticeably more taut and supple. The Booster oil is great on its own, however I like to add it to my normal nighttime moisturiser to give it a lovely anti-aging boost. It mixes well with my night cream and adds a subtle floral scent, which is not overwhelming. I have used retinol products in the past but always worried about using such harsh chemicals on my sensitive skin. However Glow Lab has found a natural alternative to retinol, in the form of bakuchiol, which has been proven to reduce wrinkles. Thankfully I don’t have any serious wrinkles yet, however I love finding good natural products to help keep those wrinkles at bay for as long as possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Natural glowy skin I'm not a huge fan of skin oils, due to my already oily skin type, however I found this product really nice to use and it didn't give me any breakouts. I've been hearing a lot of good things about Glow Lab products, so thanks so much for letting me trial this. I normally use a harsh Retinol product, which really dries out my skin, so this is a nice natural alternative, and a good break from my Retinol. This comes in a hygienic dropper bottle and smells very similar to plain Rosehip Oil which I've used before. I applied a very small amount to clean, dry skin and prefer to use this at night as all skin oils make me look extra oily. So it's an ideal overnight treatment for me. It left my skin looking really glowy and feeling smooth and nourished. The instructions also say that you can mix it into moisturiser, so perhaps I'll try that instead for day time use. I really enjoyed this product but haven't used it enough to comment on it's efficacy compared to Retinol, so I'll have to update if I see any results.

I only use 3 drops of the product and massage my face in upwards strokes starting from my neck up towards my jawline and all the way up to my forehead . The product is very thin oil which get absorbed quickly but it leaves the skin looking bit shiny/oily. I only use it once at night before u sleep . I clean my face tone it and use my retinol booster oil. I do not use any other products on top of it. Results: first week i noticed my skin felt smoother. Next week i started to see improvement o my pigmentation specially on my lower left cheek! Now its almost 3 weeks and i m more than happy with my skin. It did reduce my fine lines around my lips . They didnt disappear but i can see visible reduction in my fine lines I do highly recommend it as it works miracles on my face .

I loved trialling this item and have noticed an improvement in my dry winter skin in the short time I have been using it. I have used retinol before but have unfortunately been prone to skin irritation when using it. I had never tried bakuchiol before so was very excited to give it a go. I found it non-irritating and very gentle to use. My skin really responded well. I think I will continue using this product in conjunction with retinol but feel happy that I can reduce how much retinol I use. The packaging was lovely and stylish. The dropper was very easy to use. I am not very familiar with this brand but after this trial, I will be exploring it for sure! I recommend anyone give this a go; especially if you are just starting out with retinol or find retinol too harsh for your skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nourishing, light and glowy! The Glow Lab Age Renew Retinol Booster Oil does exactly what it says on the bottle - it leaves your skin looking glowy! I was a bit apprehensive at first, mainly because I have acne-prone skin and some face oils leave me with breakouts. I mixed a few drops with my night moisturiser, and applied over my face after cleansing. It applied so nicely, as the oil isn't too heavy. It feels like it provides a really nice, light layer over your face. It takes some time for the oil to absorb, but it doesn't feel like it's just sitting there. In the morning, I woke up to a really beautiful glowy complexion. The oil absorbed well overnight and resulted in a really nice, nourished look. I currently already use retinol in my routine, so I can't say after only using it for a few weeks whether it has made a dramatic difference to my wrinkles, and if the Bakuchiol provides a powerhouse anti-ageing effect. However, given the nourishing nature of the oil, I can definitely see that it keeps ageing at bay by hydrating the skin. I really like the slight fragrance, which resembles natural essential oils. It didn't irritate my skin and I didn't experience my breakouts or redness, which is a great sign. I really look forward to continue using this in my routine, especially in winter months when my skin is slightly drier than usual. This is a beautifully formulated product and I'm keen to try more Glow Lab products!

I've always avoided retinols and their equivalents because I didn't think I needed it, or I was worried about skin sensitivity, particularly to the sun. That and most products are very heavy thick creams which doesn't appeal to me as I have oily/combination skin. That said, I do want to look after my skin as best I can so I was super excited to try this out. This product comes housed in an amber glass dropper bottle and the consistency is a thin oil. Probably my favourite thing about it is that it applies like a dry oil and sinks into the skin almost immediately. I place 2-3 drops and warm them up between my hands before gently patting on my face and décolletage. Whatever is left over gets rubbed into my hands. No greasy/heavy sensation, no shiny/oily face. There's no strong scent associated with it either, which is a bonus for me. I apply this only in the PM as I want to avoid anything that may make my skin sun sensitive during the day and have noticed a huge improvement in skin texture and breakouts. Usually around that time of month, I'll get painful hormonal breakouts which scar and look hideous. Since I've incorporated this oil, I still get breakouts but they are much smaller and almost unnoticeable, now my hormonal breakouts don't actually hurt either. My make up applies so much smoother thanks to the exfoliating properties, but is not irritated, and has helped so much with regulating oil production and reducing the quantities of product I use. It retails for about $35-40 a bottle, but a little goes a very long way. I have barely dented mine after using it every night for the past 1.5 weeks and already plan on repurchasing it when I am almost out. The last skincare product that drastically changed my skin was sunscreen, before I discovered this incredible product. Thank you so much BH for allowing me to trial this gem!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lovely. hydrating oil I love using facial oils because my skin is prone to being really dry and sensitive and this one seems to tick all the boxes for me so far since receiving it to trial. I have been using this oil every night after cleansing and before applying my usual night cream and have found that around 3 drops is enough to cover my whole face and neck. It's easy to pat into the skin and does feel a little greasy to start with but it sinks in pretty quickly and leaves my skin feeling lovely and hydrated. I also love to rub any remaining oil into the backs of my hands after application as I find they work wonders if you suffer from dry hands like I do. I have only been using this oil for around 3 weeks so haven't really noticed any difference in the texture of my skin or in the amount of fine lines or wrinkles I have, but I am hoping that with continued long-term use this may change from all the other reviews I have read about this product. I love the soft, subtle smell of it and have not had any irritation at all since using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Natural ingredient Bakuchiol a great alternative to Retinol It’s great to see that Glow Lab have formulated a facial oil made from naturally derived ingredients that mimics the effect and benefits of Retinol. This facial booster oil contains naturally derived ingredient Bakuchiol and my skin has been tolerating this formulation very well so far. The main ingredient is sunflower seed oil which is a fantastic ingredient for dry and sensitive skin types as it helps to provide and retain skin moisture while soothing the skin simultaneously. The yellow tinted oil is housed in a glass amber bottle with a dropper applicator, so you can hygienically dispense a good amount of product as needed. After using a cleanser, clarifying toner and vitamin C serum, and before moisturiser, I’ve been applying 2-3 drops of this oil to gently pat on my face and neck. The oil slowly penetrates my skin like with most other facial oils I’ve used, however, this particular oil leaves only a slight bit of shine to my complexion and makes my skin feel velvety smooth and supple! Sometimes, I would also mix the oil together with my night moisturiser, so my skin doesn’t feel too oily. After using this oil daily in the PM for straight 2 weeks, my skin feels lovely, deeply nourished and so well hydrated. I am very impressed with this facial oil and will continue to incorporate this product in my skin care routine.

I do previously use retinol products but they are usually in cream form, this is the first time I have tried an oil based retinol product and that too a natural one. I have been using this every night and it has not dried out my skin like other retinol products tend too, and no skin peeling either. If you have a look at the ingredients list it is fairly short and simple, and looks like it just a mix of oils and bakuchoil, and from what I understand bakuchiol is the key ingredient which acts like retinol. And because I have oily skin it is always scary to use oil based products but thankfully this did not break me out. Instead I would say this is a great alternative to your regular retinol products during winter. And the easy dropper bottle makes it so easy to use and control the amount everyday.

The scent is very faint and not over powering. The best thing about this is it is Natural alternative for Retinol. I have sensitive skin so Retinol sometimes play on my skin and cause peeling. I have been using this product only at night time due to my sensitive skin and must say , only using once at night time can see the results. After application, the skin is smooth plumped and hydrated. No irritation, skin redness or peeling of the skin next morning. The skin feels fresh and Radiant. Plus point is not tested on animals and has natural ingredients. It gets easily absorbed in the skin. Highly recommended and will b buying after I finish this bottle. Very happy with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Entry Into Retinol I've never used retinol before because I've heard some truly terrifying horror stories about retinol being really irritating and harsh on the skin. Especially for me, I have pretty sensitive and dry skin, so I'm always very careful about the products I introduce into my skincare routine. This retinol booster oil is a fantastic entry way into retinol products and is naturally dervied. The booster oil works incredibly well on my dry and sensitive skin. The oil is incredibly lightweight and spreads very easily. Unlike other oils, it doesn't just sit on my skin but absorbs in very quikly. I notice my skin literally drinking up the oil and gives a beautiful subtle glow on my skin. After using the booster oil for the last few weeks, I've noticed that I wake up every morning with a glow and suppleness which I've never had before. Highly recommend this oil as it layers perfectly with other skincare products and truly delivers a beautiful glow to the skin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! This is only my second time trying out a product with Retinol in it (or Bakuchiol, a natural alternative with comparable benefits) and I am AMAZED with results. After using this product only 2-3 times, I have seen great improvement to the texture, clarity, tone and just about everything else you want to see improve with you skin. It's amazing. I have gotten so many compliments on my skin in the last week without even wearing makeup! The smell is very mild and not offensive, it applies neatly and you can even mix it in with your favourite moisturiser for easy application. I tend to start with this, layer with a hyaluronic acid and then follow with a moisturiser. This is how my skin likes it best and I've seen amazing results. I have also found that I don't need to exfoliate almost AT ALL anymore, which saves on extra product costs. Packaging is cute to boot and after trying a couple of Glow Lab products - I really like this brand and have faith in their formulas. Price point is great too!

I really like using face oil in the winter time , they offer the hydration boost so much needed . The packaging looks eye catching , it would be easy to notice on the shelf. I used this oil mainly in the evening , by itself. A couple of drops are enough for one application, this bottle will last for ages (yay !). I avoided the eye area. It absorbs into the skin quite quick , my face feels so soft into the morning. The oil has a beautiful smell, more like rosehip. It is packed with natural oils , great choice for the Natural Beauty event. I can't vouch for decreasing of wrinkle depth because I only used it for about 10 days , I think I have to use for longer to really notice a difference. Great addition for winter time, love using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Promising results I was very fortunate to receive this product in my Natural Beauty Month Box. I am familiar with the Glow Lab brand so I was really excited to use this. I have been using retinol products for many years but have just discovered Bakuchiol, a natural alternative to retinol. I used this gentle alternative in a serum when I was pregnant. The Glow Lab Age Renew Retinol Booster Oil features naturally derived Bakuchiol and claims to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation. The product comes in a glass dropper bottle. The oil is quite runny so I have to put a couple of drops in my hand and apply it all over my face, neck and decolletage. It absorbs beautifully and doesn't feel too greasy. I have only been able to trial this serum for less than 2 weeks so I haven't seen the oil's full potential, but so far I have seen promising results. My skin has a lovely glow that wasn't there before and my skin appears a little firmer. I'm excited to see what else this lovely oil has in store for my skin.
