Rated 5 out of 5 by from John Frieda Hydrate and Recharge Deep Soak Masque I had the opportunity to try a sample of the John Frieda Hydrate and Recharge Deep Soak Masque in my 2021 Rewards Room order. I have dry, bleach damaged hair so was looking forward to hair wash day to give this treatment a try. As the name suggests, this mask hydrates the hair, being formulated with monoi oil and keratin, known for their moisturising properties. The mask came in a foil sachet with enough product for one use. It is a creamy consistency and has a sweet, fruity fragrance that I adore the smell of. Being a smaller sachet than that of the shampoo and conditioner, I was skeptical that it would be enough for my long hair. However, I was able to apply to my lengths, which is what I typically do when using a hair treatment and there was still some for the roots as well. I left on my hair for around 5 minutes before rinsing. The way my hair felt when wet gave me hope that the mask would make a difference to my hair, even more so when I was able to run a comb through my hair without too much resistance from knots and tangles. Once dry, I could not believe just how soft and smooth my hair was. All of my hair felt the same, even the bleached ends which are normally like straw to the touch. I raved to my husband who he even noticed the improvement. I only got to try the John Frieda Hydrate and Recharge Deep Soak Masque the once, but I am sold on the product and need a full size. In fact I really want to use the whole range! My hair has shine, is more manageable and I can't stop touching it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing results I have coarse, dry, damaged hair from too much colouring and straightening. Due to the poor condition of my hair, most hair treatments disappointment me as they are only barely better than good conditioners. I was amazed by the results from this hair mask as it really hydrated my hair without leaving it greasy or weighed down. The mask is creamy white and is quite thick, with a pleasant scent. It just needs to be left on for 2-3 minutes on clean, wet hair, so it can be easily applied in the shower after shampooing. It left my hair feeling silky soft and removed the 'crunchiness' of my dry hair without any oiliness. So impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The recharge my hair needed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tend to shy away from using a hair mask, mostly due to the fact that I have fine hair and it gets greasy way too often. However I was pleasently surprised with this one as I applied it mostly to my ends for roughly 2 - 3 minutes and when I wash it off my hair is even more softer then when I typically use the conditioner! Brushing my hair when I get out of the shower is a breeze and very much gives my hair a bit of a boost. I like using the mask about 2 times a week, sometimes I leave it in for about an hour as a treatment which works wonders. I highly recommend!

I've been tempted more than once to buy them off the supermarket shelf with promises of silky hair etc etc. So I tried the John Frieda Hydrate & Recharge Deep Soak Masque with some trepidation. Loved it! Loved that I didn't have to go through the drama of wetting my hair or shampooing my hair, towel drying and then applying. Instead it lives in my shower and I use it alternately with the conditioner. It smells amazing. And it really does perform. My hair feels 'swishy' and healthy and looks great. I'm not young so if I say my hair feels great then you know the product is working double time to achieve that!

So I received this product only with the others in the range as part of the beauty review crew and all I can say is wow. My hair is so soft and luscious after only using these 3 products for a short time. This masque smells great, feels even better, is easy to use (thanks to the tub) and makes my hair feel like I’ve just had a salon service treatment, absolutely amazing and will be continuing to use this in the future. Would recommend to anyone feeling a bit dull and dry to give it a go.

Makes my hair more manageable when drying and brushing less breakage and knots considering my hair is 3a. The smell is pleasant and lingers throughout the day and it's not overpowering. The bonus is that I've been using it daily as I am frequently going to gym and it doesn't strip the natural oils like other shampoos. I like the packaging being 250ml bottles it’s great for travelling but hope they come in bigger sizes.

The packaging is simple and easy to use and looks appealing. I love the fact that this masque only needs a couple of minutes on the hair to work it’s magic. I’ve tried hair masks in the past and have always been underwhelmed with the results but this one made my hair feel instantly hydrated, resulting in smooth, silky, soft hair. This will make up part of my weekly treatment regime now!

Convenient size for travelling and keeps clutter to a minimum in the shower. The masque is a compact tub that is easy to open/close, ensuring no mess, spills or leaks :) The application is a sensory experience. I'm very fond of the sweet smell and thick, creamy texture. After brushing it through my thirsty strands, I tie my hair up and proceed to shower.. The magical masque melts deeper, infusing my hair's cuticles with the surge of mositure they not only require but desire. It's recommended to rinse after 2-3 minutes. I have left it developing up to 5 minutes which also results in an impressively pleasant and tame mane :) I used this product following the Hydrate & Recharge Shampoo.

I alternate it with the conditioner in the range and use after the shampoo from the range. It has a lovely, pleasant scent from the gardenia, coconut and almond oil. I find it inoffensive and does not linger long after rinsing. The consistency of the masque is very rich and thick, one generous palm sized dollop is enough for my waist length, thick, wavy hair. I find it washes out very easily after leaving it in for at least five minutes, no residual film or weighed down feeling left behind. Hair is left feeling much softer, easier to brush.

I loved having three products that I could use with similar textures and smells. The masque is a great addition to the normal shampoo and conditioner routine. After only using the masque twice, I could notice a massive difference to my hair. I have blonde hair and often have dry hair but this made it so soft and smoother than just using the shampoo and conditioner. I will continue to use this product. The size of the tub is perfect too and gives you plenty of value for money.

I have used many different hair masques over the years. This one is a keeper! It softened and rejuvenated my hair, leaving it feeling strong with plenty of bounce and volume. My hair certainly felt that it had bee hydrated and recharged. Other masques often do not seem much more than a basic conditioner. This one will not disappoint. Packaging is a pretty blue. Masque is easy to apply and can be left on for a short period with great results. I would strongly recommend this outstanding product.

The product nourished my blonde hair but it didn’t feel weighed down afterwards or become oily quickly which I find many treatments do. My hair felt glossy and hyrdrated. I washed my hair twice with the shampoo in the same range and then followed with the masque . Although since I wash my hair once a week I found myself reaching for the masque treatment instead of the conditioner since it’s so easy and quick to use. Any masques which require you to towel dry your hair and then wait 10-15 minutes is just too hard and is t going to happen! I love how quick and ways this is to use in the shower.For the next few days my hair also smelt great! I Will definitely be buying again.

A little goes a long way and you can instantly feel the difference. However, the first time I used the trio - shampoo, conditioner and mask, my hair felt softer but I wasn’t sure my hair looked any different. I had blow dried and straightened my hair which I think just dried it out again. The next time after that, I decided not to blow dry my hair and naturally air dry it. This definitely made a difference. My hair is naturally curly and the curls looked healthy and nourished. Even my mum and sister noticed! So I think the best way to use this would be to avoid the blow dry- let your hair naturally dry and then leave it or even straighten/curl it. Doesn’t frizz and looks much healthier that way!

The smell is light and refreshing and the masque left my hair soft without being fly away or frizzy it had a lovely weight to it without being oily near the roots. I didn't need a lot of the product to cover my hair which was a pleasant surprise as I expected to use half the tub. Will definitely continue to use this product as a deep hydration repair for my hair.

I’ve got Curley and slightly frizzy hair and the complimented my curls perfectly. It really did recharge my hair. I’ve also coloured my hair and after using this product my ends were dry anymore. The mask conditions and hydrates just as promised. The consistency is good, thick without being unspreadable. And does not need to be left in for an extended period of time to achieve the desired results. Used regularly this treatment keeps hair feels nicely hydrated. My recommendation would be to alternate with the conditioner as using every wash on my hair it became too heavy. Used in conjunction with the other products in the range is a good option for everyday use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a little dry & damaged hair due to repeated dyeing so when I got this hydrate soak mask I was very excited. I have been using masque about 5 times already and since 2nd time I used I can feel its very moisturized compare to just using the hair conditioner, it's more moisturised and rejuvenated my hair and after blow drying my hair isn't frizzy much which I'm very happy with. I would recommend this product to people with dry or damaged hair to give moistured rejuvenation but if you have a really damaged hair I recommend some thing more repairing. After trying this product I am thinking of trying the repair line from John frieda.

I was very happy with the results from this product. The tub is huge which makes it great value. The smell of the product is amazing and lasted on my hair for days. I have been using once a week for about three weeks and have noticed my hair is much more hydrated and manageable. It makes a big difference in a short amount of time. I have used it in conjunction with the shampoo and conditioner from the range, using the product together is a great combination for hydrate healthy hair.

It is thick in texture. I scoop it out with my fingers and smoothly massage it into my hair then leave it for a few minutes. I have thin hair and it didn’t weigh it down which was great. It smells like bubblegum which I quite like. I wouldn’t say the smell lasts too long post wash, so it’s mainly just while you are using it in the shower. I can sometimes get itchy scalp but I didn’t using this product. It left my hair feeling moisturised, light and the biggest thing I noticed was it was much less frizzy. I absolutely love that this isn’t one of those leave in for 20 minutes products, you get great results in minutes!!

This mask really does its job in hydrating my hair and feeling soft without weighing my hair down. I found my hair was a lot more manageable during the day and smells amazing. Usually when I wash my hair and let it air dry after, it gets quite frizzy so when using this product, I found it really made such a big difference in making my hair smooth, shiny and less frizzy. I have wavy hair and found this also made my waves sit and look better. This product will last you ages as you don't need much to get results, a little goes a long way! I'm glad to have found such a incredible product and I know once I run out of this, I will be repurchasing. My hair is naturally oily roots + dry ends so I was skeptical at first because it's a hydrating range, which usually means that my hair is going to weigh down and get oilier faster (based off past experience) but I WAS WRONG! In the past I've used masks throughout my hair that have made my hair oily and flat, needing to shampoo again the next day. This mask did the exact opposite whilst still maintaining that hydrating and nourishing status. My hair felt so nourished and bouncy after using the range, looked shiny and healthy as well that I received compliments! It even brought my hair back to its natural state (wavy hair) compared to other shampoos that usually straighten out my hair (as seen from the viral TikTok trend). Love the scent from this range as well, and a little goes a long way!

I feel it gives that vibrant cooling refreshing feel about which makes me think of hydration when I see it and when I use it. I liked the texture of the John Frieda Hydrate & Recharge Deep Soak Masque, just the right consistency to stay for a few minutes without running down the back of my neck and worked in well. It's easy to use, works well into my hair, it rinses out well and has a lovely smell. My hair felt soft and smooth after use and stills smells fabulous. My blonde hair was nice and shiny and so much softer even after a couple of days it still looks amazing.

I love the blue packaging as well. It looks stunning in an array of soft blue hues taking pride of place on my shower shelf. The shampoo is pearly and feels lush to touch. It goes on the hair easily, especially with the genius flip lip making it easy when you have a million things to do. My red hair soaked it right up especially since it's taken a battering from endless hair straightening. I used it in conjuction with the John Freida Conditioner and shampoo and it truly felt soft and silky. This is definitely a product I would buy again and recommend to friends.I loved that it contains monoi oil and keratin oil, which my hair seemed to really respond to. My dry and damaged hair loved it.

I have never found a hair mask at an affordable price that matches a high end expensive product. The packaging is a simple tub which I find is the most common way these products are sold. For my personal preference I would ideally have this product in a squeeze tube as it can be slippery and difficult to unscrew and scoop out product in the shower - however this isn’t uncommon! I have used this masque many times in combination with the Shampoo and Conditioner and it really is a simply three step system to achieving a fresh and healthy head of hair. I varied the times I left this product in and I even slept with it in overnight as an extra special treat. Once I wash my hair and rinse out the masque there is immediate results. Having very very frizzy and tangly hair a masque is a must for me to help tame it. My hair is sleeker, smoother, bouncier and healthy looking which is a big deal. Using I have to spend a very high ticket price to buy the most effective hair brands usually from Salons, but to know this is so accessible to everyone is really exciting. I cannot wait to pass along this find and see what other people think and how it works for different hair types.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have really dry curly hair and this mask seems to give my hair quite a bit of moisture which is amazing as its hard to find products that don't make my hair even dryer. It has a pleasant smell and is easy to put on my hair the only thing is I really hate digging my fingers into tubs as the product goes under fingernails and feels awful, it would be nice if it came in a tube to make it easier to use with one hand, I always struggle to hold the lid and the product and get the product out of the tub and put the lid back on without dropping everything. It is really moiturising and makes my hair feel great, as my hair is so dry I could probably use this product as normal conditioner as my hair would really benefit from extra moisture. this is good value for money as the tub is quite large. I would recommend using this is makes your hair feel really soft.

It smells amazing. A small amount goes a long away. You dont need much to get the results it says. It made my hair feel soft and it was easier to comb as my hair is usually bad to comb my sister hates having to help but with the john frieda hydate and recharge range i didnt really need her to comb my hair. My hair was left looking and feeling much more hydrated and healthier then normal. Would definitely use again and recommend to friends.

First impression was that it has a strong and sweet smell that will linger in your hair throughout the day. The formula is very thick and creamy, and it applied easily onto my hair. Afterwards, my hair definitely felt more hydrated and softer to the touch and this was from using the masque alongside the shampoo and conditioner. Overall, it did a good job at hydrating my hair and I would recommend this to my friends and family.

My ends were really dry because I use a lot of heat styling tools! I found this product is colour safe and also curly girl safe and it actually made my colour pop even more and just made my hair feel so healthy! I found once my hair had dried as well, it was so soft to touch and was shiny! Also this mask smells so good and is easy to use. I liked how short the time was, as it was easy to pop it on while I was doing uni work and cooking and then I could just wash it out! Overall, great product that conditions really well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just started using this deep soak mask and from the first use I noticed a differences in my hair, my hair is so soft. It is easy to brush an my hair isnt tangled afterwards . It has a very pleasant and refreshing sweet smell. The texture is light, the bottle is light an easy to use. You only need a small dose and it foams up and easy to rinse off . I team the mask up with the same brand shampoo and conditioner which I all recommend to anyone. I've seen it at the stores and prices are affordable for anyone who doesn't want to spend alot.
