Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for wavy/curly hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have wavy/curly hair (2A/2B) and always struggle finding a shampoo that is hydrating enough for my curls, but not so heavy it weighs down the waves. This shampoo (together with the conditioner) is fitting the bill! It lathers nicely with only a small amount of shampoo, and has a nice fragrance that is not too overpowering - it kind of reminds me of blueberry lollies, but in a good way!! After two weeks of use, I am definitely noticing a difference in the definition of my curls, without losing too much volume.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome shampoo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the shampoo! The shampoo is a gel consistency and has a very nice lather to it. The shampoo instantly hydrated the hair, you can feel it in it's creamy texture. Though it is very hydrating, it also doesn't leave any greasy or oily residue in the hair after it has been rinsed out. It smells absolutely wonderful! Beautiful tropical flower scent I think it's the Monoi oil that's one of the ingredients in the shampoo that's smells so good and that lasts all day! I would also say that this product is great for dry hair, because even the shampoo by itself feels nourishing! I highly recommend this shampoo for anyone with dehydrated hair and those looking for a natural alternative to traditional chemical packed shampoos. You hair will feel silky, smooth, and look shiny. Take it from someone who needs a lot of nourishment in their hair, this product will treat and cleanse your hair but also totally renew it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Noticeably Healthier Hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first time I used the trio - shampoo, conditioner and mask, my hair felt softer but I wasn’t sure my hair looked any different. I had however blow dried and straightened my hair which I think just dried it out again. The next time after that, I decided not to blow dry my hair and naturally air dry it. This definitely made a difference. My hair is naturally curly and the curls looked healthy and nourished. Even my mum and sister noticed! So I think the best way to use this would be to avoid the blow dry- let your hair naturally dry and then leave it or even straighten/curl it. It looks much healthier that way and bonus- It smells so divine!

The product nourished my blonde hair but it didn’t feel weighed down afterwards or become oily quickly which I find many hydrating shampoos do. My hair felt glossy but also clean. I washed my hair twice and then followed with either the conditioner or mask in the same range. For the next few days my hair also smelt great! Although the bottle is a little small and the price a bit expensive, I Will definitely be buying again.

Was looking forward to using this as I love John Frieda products. This product smelt lovely and I felt cleaned my hair really well. Kind of squeaky clean without steipping my hair. It lathered up quite well. My hair is thick and dry due to colouring and I felt it suited me. I don't feel the shampoo effected the dryness negatively or positively. A little goes a long way. I haven't been using it for q very long time but will do to see long term effect. Would definitely recommend.

The shampoo does what it says it will. Is very light, yet hydrating and efficient. Gets hair lovely and clean with out stripping the moisture. The shampoo foams nicely but is not over top and washes out well. Hair does not feel super dry after two shampoos but is squeaky clean. Used in conjunction with the other products in the range is a good option for everyday use. I would recommend this product.

My hair don’t get oily as quick as it usually does. My hair is often very tangled after shampooing, but this product was different. It had a really delicate fragrance that wasn’t overpowering. I noticed my hair condition had improved dramatically after using it 3 times. My hair has felt thicker since using it. The packaging was easy to use in the shower with wet hands. Will continue to use. The whole range is great.

I think the bottle size of 250ml is great, as it doesn’t take up a lot of coveted shower space! I love the smell of the shampoo; it is fresh and clean without being overwhelming. The consistency is quite thin, so be careful when squirting it out of the bottle. It lathers really well when applied to the hair and is quite easy to rinse out. After rinsing, I found my hair to feel a little more ‘squeaky’ than when I use my regular salon brand shampoo, but nothing drastic. I think that used in collaboration with either the conditioner or masque, this is a decent product that performs pretty well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] John Frieda Hydrate & Recharge Shampoo gives your thirsty, lifeless and dry hair a big dose of delicious a moisture. This John Frieda shampoo is full with nutrient rich drops containing monoi oil and keratin. This hydrating and moisturising shampoo will help your dry, lifeless hair to become more nourished and silky. I would recommend this shampoo for anyone with dry and/or dehydrated hair. I have coloured hair and have found it safe and gentle to use. Best of all, it washes out completely and doesn’t irritate my sensitive scalp. I’ve been using it with its matching conditioner and hair masque, and my hair feels clean and soft. It works a treat, a little goes a long way and smells amazing!

One thing I really enjoyed was the size as it is also compact and great for travelling. I always look for ease of use with products and this was easy to open and close and store in the shower caddy. The shampoo has a great smell and lathers exceptionally well. It was easy to rinse and has left my hair feeling clean, hydrated and not weighed down with left over product. Hair is left fresh and hydrated and more manageable. As someone with fine frizzy hair I would recommend this product to anyone. Hair is left fresh and like a salon experience. The scent was also delightful and not over powering!

I enjoyed using this shampoo as it foamed up quickly and made my hair feel squeaky clean! I would definitely use this again as my partner also mentioned that my hair looks different. It does feel more hydrated and looks more healthy then normal. It also didnt frizz as much after it dried which was a plus!

First impression was that it has a strong and sweet smell that will linger in your hair throughout the day. My hair also does feel more hydrated and softer to the touch and this was from using the shampoo alongside the conditioner and the hair mask. Not sure how this shampoo would perform if used independently. Overall, it did a good job at cleaning my hair and I would recommend this to my friends and family.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for fine coloured hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo did exactly what the bottle stated, I have dry coloured thin hair and struggle yo find a shampoo range that hydrates my hair without making it greasy or weighing it down. This shampoo made my hair feel hydrated, shiny, nourished and tangle free. The texture of the shampoo is silky and smooth, it isn’t a blue colour like the packaging might suggest, it’s a lovely creamy silver colour. The packaging doesn’t initially draw you in and the bottle shape and labelling is not very premium, however don’t judge a book by its cover and give this shampoo a go!

It smells amazingly refreshing and sweet - very summery feel. The texture is light and foamy which I love. It rinses easily and feels lovely and clean straight away. Even after it is washed out my hair still smells delicious. I have very thick hair so it’s sometimes hard to find a product that foams up without using half the bottle but this foamed up easily and I still have plenty of product remaining. Only just started using but my hair definitely feels hydrated.

It has a very pleasant and refreshing sweet smell, a bit like candy. The texture is light and creamy. It is quite easy to pour out from the cute bottle. I find this is very simple to use and it can properly clean my hair in a gentle way. I like the amount of bubbles it could form quickly and how easily to rinse off afterwards. I feel my hair is somewhat more hydrated after only a few uses of this shampoo which is a great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great value I received a set of John Frieda Hydrate & Recharge Shampoo (8mL), Conditioner (8mL) and Deep Soak Masque (4.5mL) in my online order. This review is for the shampoo only. The shampoo is a pearlescent cream which lathers up. It has a very sweet smell. It was difficult to tell the cleansing power because the 8mL sample was really insufficient. I have thick, long, shoulder blade hair and I almost always double cleanse with shampoo. The sample that I received was barely enough for one wash. (I did receive two sets of samples from two different orders but I was already in the shower with one set so it was not very practical for me to go and get another set). So I concentrated on the roots and left the ends alone. It felt that another cleanse would certainly have been beneficial. I didn't feel the shampoo stripping my natural oil which is important for me. My hair is colour treated and the colour did not come off with the wash. I have always enjoyed John Freida products as I found them to be good value for the supermarket price range.

The product looked inviting and smelled amazing. It had a lively texture and gloss to the product. I tried it for the first time but it did not suit my hair unfortunately. I loved the smell and lather but it was difficult to wash out of my hair. It felt like straw for some reason and took a lot of effort to wash out. I tried it again but the same thing happened. Perhaps it is just not the right product for my hair type. I will keep on perserving in case my hair just needs to get used to a different product as it really needs something to bring back the moisture.

And also the scent of the shampoo was fruity and sweet. It lathered well and not much is required to get a good amount of lather, but unfortunately for me, I didn’t see much of the hydration or recharge claims. It left my hair clean but didn’t hydrate or nourish it as much as I was hoping it would. As my hair dried, I didn’t notice much of a difference to the texture of my hair, it didn’t feel any softer or smoother. I don’t think that I would purchase this shampoo in the future unfortunately.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Persistance is needed for Curly fine hair [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Shampoo comes in a 250ml light blue bottle it seems a bit small and I fear it will be quite expensive although it lathers quite a lot with very little product and i don't use shampoo as much as conditioner because it dries my hair out more it might be a small luxury that in time might be worth the price The smell is quite nice not overpowering. I have very fine curly hair which can be quite knotty and my first time using the shampoo seemed to make it feel like straw. I ended up with heaps of knots and actually pulled a lot of hair out trying to detangle. I have persisted with it and my hair whilst still knotty is getting less tangled.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awesome smell [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 250ml small size bottle, great for travelling easy to fit in to your bag and good lid, so no leaking in your bag, but its not ideal size for a family of 5 adults.The smell of the shampoo is amazing, its not overpowering smell, and it lingers throughout the day.The texture is nice and light weight, and washes out good.This shampoo made my hair feel hydrated, nourished but my hair felt a bit knotty.This is been a bit picky but I don’t like the colour of the bottle I don’t think there is anything eye catching about it. Overall I would still recommend this shampoo

I have very dry hair and chemically treated hair. My hair felt softer as I worked the product right on and felt clean instantly. It smelled really good and not too strong fragrance which was nice. The texture was luxurious and bottle squeezed out the right amount. The only thing I did not like was it had a lot of sulfates and tons of other chemicals I could not pronounce. For daily use, I would prefer a natural shampoo with not a ton of chemicals in it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent, but doesn’t tend to hydrate [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had decent luck with John Frieda products in the past and I thought that it wouldn’t be any different with these babies, but sadly, I didn’t find them to work as well as I was hoping they would. My first impression was that I thought the bottles were quite small to be a full sized product, but they also fit quite nicely into the shower caddy, so I couldn’t really complain about that! This has a flip lid, which makes it easy to get the product out and it also has a Candy sweet scent that I wasn’t quite expecting, but that I love! The product itself doesn’t really seem to help hydrate my hair - instead, I feel like it washes it well, without particularly adding moisture to it. As such, while I enjoy the shampoo, I can only give it 3 stars for that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good shampoo but not great [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Q the 250ml bottles are not my idea of what a regular sized shampoo bottle should be but they are great to bring travelling. The look of the bottle is great, a call blue with good quality caps. No leaking with carrying around and clean pour. The first thing that strikes me about the shampoo was the smell. It's a sickly sweet lollipop smell. It's not overpowering but it's there. It might be fine for some but I'm not a fan of strong scents in my personal products. The shampoo goes on well, doesn't feel drying. Very smooth when I lather it in. And it's very easy to wash off. As all shampoo should be. It didn't leave my hair feeling dry and brittle but it's hard to say what the overall effect was because I used it with the John frieda conditioner as well. Overall, a good shampoo but not a great one.
