Rated 4 out of 5 by from Healed my mask-dry lips! I usually don’t suffer from dry lips, so I haven’t been a big user of lip balms in the past. However that has changed since we’ve had to wear face masks. I’m finding that over time, this is drying out my lips, so the timing was just right to trial this lip balm. The balm comes in a conveniently sized soft tube. It has a slanted applicator for easy and even application. I love anything fruity, so I had hoped that being paw paw enriched the balm would have a fruity smell and taste. Because of this expectation, I was a little disappointed to find it didn’t really have a smell or taste, but I appreciate that for some people this would be their preference. My lips were left feeling moist but not sticky. The lip balm feels gentle and soothing, and my lips are feeling much more comfortable and hydrated under my face mask.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good everyday lipbalm This lipbalm came in a convenient sized tube and a easy to use applicator. I like the applicator as it avoids applying the lipbalm with your fingers keeping it hygienic. I also like that this lip balm is from an Australian company so I was looking forward to testing out the balm as I often have multiple lip balms on rotation. I kept the balm on my work desk and applied 5-6 times throughout the day as my lips get dry easily working in air conditioning all day. I found the product spread easily on my lips and instantly made them feel hydrated and more plump. The texture was a little thicker than what I prefer in a lip balm however due to this it did last longer on the lips. This lip balm is very affordable and would be a great staple balm to keep in your handbag. Will continue to use!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft and hydrated lips This lip balm is enriched with pawpaw and papaya seed oil to help soothe and hydrate severely dry and chapped lips. I am very fortunate that I rarely struggle with very dry or chapped lips, so I cannot speak of the claims working on my lips. However, my 6 year old has always struggled with extremely dry and cracking lips, regardless of how often we put lip balm on him. I don’t tend to use just any lip balm on his lips, preferring to use natural ones and free of chemical nasties, - sadly this one is not all natural, but at least free from the chemical nasties. It has a creamy consistency and is easy to apply from the tube as it as a slanted tip. It also spread easily, though leaving the lips feeling slightly greasy, but not sticky, and immediately feeling quite moisturising on the lips. It has a subtle very faint fruity that’s suitable for the whole family, but It does leave a slight sheen, so my hubby is personally not keen on it, but the kids don’t mind. I’ve been using it on my own lips at night before bed, and definitely woken to lips that feels softer and smoother. As for the 6year old, I’ve also been using it on him at bedtime, and it seems to be working its magic on his lips too, with them looking less dry and cracked each morning, so it appears we’ve found a new household stable. Will definitely repurchase to use when my boy’s lips are at their worst. It’s quite affordable too at just $5.99 it is quite affordable too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from my new overnight lip balm I was lucky to be Abel to try out this lip balm through the beauty heaven 'best in beauty' trial team! A lip balm is always a staple for me. Ive previously been on roaccutane and had extremely dry and painful lip to the point that is would be painful to open my mouth wide. Since then I've constantly kept up a routine of apply lipbalm to keep my lips in good condition and protect them from air conditioning, wearing a mask and some drying lipsticks. Dermal therapy lip balm is a very basic but very effective formula. It is enriched with paw paw and papaya seed oil. This lends a very faint smell to the lip balm, but other than that, I couldn't tell the addition of these ingredients. The balm is thick and white in colour. A small amount is needed and can be applied directly from the top or dispensed onto your finger, as preferred. It tends to sit on top of the lips and leaves a very slight white cast. For this reason I don't like this lip balm during the day- I comes off as soon as I eat or drink and doesn't allow me to but lip products on top (they lose their lasting power). I loved using this lip balm generously at night and waking up to smooth and nourished lips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Winter must have Every winter I have the same issues with dry cracked lips so I was eager to give this a go. This lip balm comes in a nice little tube with a slanted tip that makes it easy to apply. I apply this in the morning as a part of mu usual routine after applying my makeup. I find that one application last for a few hours and I am only applying this two or three times a day. It goes on nice a smoothly and I notice the difference in my lips straight away. It has a nice light paw paw scent that doesn't make you want to lick your lips. I love that it is Australian Made as sometimes finding products like this can be hard (and expensive) I will definitely keep using this and not just in winter this will become a year round favourite and with the price being so reasonable it makes it that much better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Intensely hydrating I received a tube of Dermal Therapy Lip Balm Enriched with PawPaw as part of the Best in Beauty Awards 2021 trial box. The small squeeze tube holds 10g of product and has a slanted tip for ease of application. I don’t have to really worry about my lips feeling dry and uncomfortable because I use lip balm every day but I think it’s nice to add another ‘flavour’ such as this paw paw one which is new to me. I’ve been applying this particular lip balm before my hour walk each day to keep my lips moisturised and it’s done a great job at making my lips feel intensely hydrated, soft and supple. It has the same slippery but non-greasy feel as other Dermal Therapy lip balms I’ve used but with the added bonus of a lovely sweet scent. To ensure my lips remain nourished and hydrated I also apply the lip balm after my early morning shower and last thing at night before going to bed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Immensely helped my winter ravaged lips Thanks to BH for allowing me to trial this product! The Dermal Therapy Lip Balm with Paw Paw is quite simply amazing. Being winter my lips are always cracked, sore and far from smooth. I often need to use a lip treatment each night to try and give them relief. After using this for a few days I noticed that I didn't need to reach for the nightly treatment and my lips were far less cracked and sore. I do find it doesn't last very long on my lips but I could still feel the effects long after it had worn off. It does recommend to use 3-4 times daily or as required. Some days I reached for it more than this but generally 3-4 times was sufficient. I also did not get the usual little pimples around my lips from it being to rich which is another bonus. I am pleased this is a tube rather than a tub as I find it more hygienic. The applicator is also tapered so you don't squeeze too much out at once. The taste reminds me of Vaseline neither pleasant or nasty but it does have a taste. The lid stays screwed on securely so I wouldn't be worried about it coming off in my bag. I could see me probably going through the 10g tube each month based on the amount of times I needed to apply it but envisage that in the warmer months application won't be required as often. Overall it's a lovely product to have in your winter arsenal and I will be buying some extra tubes to put in the car and for my daughter for school.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great everyday lip balm The Dermal Therapy Lip Balm enriched with paw paw come in a great size 10 g tube where the product was easy to dispense and beautifully hydrated lips. After applying dry chapped lips felt pampered, soft and moisturised. After continually using I could see visible results that lasted and it left lips healthy and soothed. I like that I can carry it around in my pocket or pop in my handbag and know that I always have a reliable balm that will protect and pamper lips. There was no noticeable scent and I like that it provided lips with a natural application where there was just a hint of shine. It can be applied throughout the day or as often as required and it is a balm that I would buy and happily recommend to others, wonderful and a relief to know that I can always count and rely on such a fantastic lip balm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for chapped lips Dermal Therapy makes great products so I was super excited to try out the Lip Balm with Pawpaw. I have previously tried the original Dermal Therapy Lip Balm and really enjoyed the results and this one is just as good but with the added benefit of Pawpaw. The lip balm comes in a handy 10g tube with a screw off lid. This makes it convenient to take where ever you go. The formula has a gel like consistency that glides easily on to my lips. My lips instantly feel soothed and hydrated. It doesn't really have a noticeable smell or taste which makes it a great lip balm for everyone. I get quite dry lips in winter and this lip balm definitely helped to make them feel more hydrated. The only real negative is that it is a petrolatum based lip balm which is an ingredient I'm trying to minimise my use of. Overall this is a great lip balm for anyone with dry, chapped lips looking for a product that will give results fairly quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So rich! I am so lucky to receive this product from beautyheaven! Over winter my lips get so dehydrated and I often even get cold sores (yes I know!!) As a result of this. I use plenty of lip balms but what seems to happen is I put it on at night and it disappears by morning leaving me with a dry beginning of a cold sore instead! I hate it! The original PawPaw ointment is actually petroleum based so I will not use that. Ew! But this Dermal Therapy lip balm is cleaner than that and so thick it's like a barrier cream! It comes in a little travel sized squeeze tube with an applicator so can be applied directly to lips or to finger or in my case cotton tip for fear of contamination... The fragrance is really subtle and a little sweet but not overpowering so no headaches at night. I only need the tiniest bit and I apply it all around my lip area to be sure and when I wake in the morning it is still kind of there and my lips feel completely hydrated. It's great after a lip scrub too. It feels so nourishing and protective. I'm sure I will continue using it. It is even an Australian owned company! Winning!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Daily use lip balm I liked this lip balm. It left my lips feeling soft after application. The lip balm does contain Petrolatum, which I’m not fond of and which it didn’t include this, otherwise it’s a good affordable lip balm. The lip balm has a slant tip applicator and the lip balm itself is a little thick, but I can still squeeze it out. I usually applied with my finger, because I don’t like using the applicator directly on my lips. The lip balm didn’t make my lips flatly or peel away. The lip balm was good to use especially at night as my lips were still soft when I woke up in the morning. The lip balm didn’t have any scent and also didn’t have any bitterness that some lip balms tend to have. I would recommend this lip balm id you want something affordable and fuss free. It is low priced as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works wonders for dry lips Beautyheaven included the Dermal Therapy Lip Balm in the 2021 Best in Beauty products which I was lucky enough to receive. Thankyou for allowing me the opportunity to review this product. The Dermal Therapy Lip Balm comes in a 10g tube which like the packaging has a distinctive blue and orange design. The capped tube has a slanted tip making it easy to squeeze out just the right amount. The cream contained is a little like the consistency of vaseline although white in colour. It has a blend of synergistic ingredients including 4% fermented pawpaw and 1% papaya seed and has a very light sweetish scent. The instructions say to apply liberally 3 to 4 times daily or as required. I found just once a day was enough to give my lips a comfortable hydrated feeling. For someone exposed to more of the outdoors or with very dry lips more applications would be necessary. It would be an outstanding Lip Balm for severely dry and chapped lips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hydrating lip balm This is my second Dermal Therapy lip balm, I previously tried the Original balm which I liked. Dermal Therapy is an Australian owned company and their products are made in Australia. This is a white thick gel in a squeeze tube with a slanted application tip. It has a slight smell and taste but not anything you’d really notice unless you really don’t like it. It contains fermented pawpaw (4th on the list of ingredients) and papaya seed oil - there is some confusion about pawpaw vs papaya, pawpaw is the American spelling so maybe that is where they are sourced from. In Australia papaya is usually red fleshed while papaw is yellow fleshed. Luckily my lips aren’t particularly dry usually so I just want a lip balm that keeps my lips hydrated and feeling nice. This definitely feels nice on the lips and does a good job of hydration. It also seems to make a nice base for lippy. I find this balm is a bit messier than the original, if I’m not careful it leaves white gel on my lips which doesn’t look good. This makes it little less convenient as I need to check in a mirror, not so easy on the go. So I’m taking a star off for that otherwise it is really good, even more so I think if you have very dry lips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dermal Therapy wins again I have not had the opportunity to try Dermal Therapy Lip Balm before so was quite interested in trialing it, especially seeing this balm was enriched with PawPaw. It arrived packaged in a blue, white and gold box and the 10g balm itself was in a small capped squeezable tube. The directions given were to apply it liberally to affected area 3-4 times daily or as required. To me there was no noticeable fragrance or taste but my lips certainly felt deeply moisturised and soothed immediately upon use and stayed that way permanently for quite some considerable time. Apparently the balm is enhanced with 4% fermented pawpaw and 1% papaya seed so lovely, natural ingredients to soothe and hydrate severely dry and chapped lips thus keeping them smooth and healthy. Dermal Therapy, which incidentally is an Australian owned company, even purport that visible results can be seen and felt in one day and I certainly believe that. All up a great product and one I can fully recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Emollient and moisturising I really enjoyed this Dermal lipbalm, it is excellent for dried and chapped lips as it claims. I live in a very dry climate, and during winter in particular my skin and lips suffer - dryness, tightness, chapping, and sometimes even cracking. I have sworn by Lanolips lanolin these past few years, and it takes a dang good lip balm to impress me. I can happily say that this did indeed impress. It goes on emollient and silky-smooth, and hydrates wonderfully. However, it’s longevity could be improved - I find it wears off quickly. Reapplication is easy due to the squeeze tube with the slanted tip, and hygienic as well (nothing worse than having to dip your fingers in a tub when out and about, especially during these COVID-19 times!). I feel like part of the reason it hydrates so well is because of the high proportion of fermented pawpaw in it. Overall, it’s a great lip balm at an affordable price point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dermal Paw Paw lip balm I have to have a lip balm on me at all times and it also has to work really well, nourish and moisturise my lips especially during the colder months of the year. This lip balm contains paw paw as an additional ingredient and it feels really moisturising and soothing on my lips.
Date published: 2021-06-03
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hydrating lip balm with paw paw I normally use another type of lip balm which contains paw paw and I prefer that one more as it's natural but I will say that the paw paw lip balm from dermal therapy is good but not the best that I've tried. It does contain lanolin so it isn't vegan and I prefer products that do not contain any animal products. It is thick and feels a bit sticky when I put it on. I like that it comes in a tube as it's much easier to use that way. It is hydrating and I normally use it at night as an overnight treatment and my lips do feel a bit softer in the morning.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smoothing and soothing I would like to thank Beautyheaven and dermal therapy for giving me the opportunity to trial this lip balm. Dermal therapy has a bit of a cult following on the Internet, but I have never personally tried it, so I was quite excited to see this in my best in beauty box. The packaging is nothing special but looks can be deceiving. This balm Is thick and rich, but not so thick that it is difficult to apply. It does have a faint scent of pawpaw, but it is not overpowering at all. It feels nice and smooth and soothing on the lips and doesn’t have much of a taste to it at all. I found applying it last thing at night was the best way for me, as I wake up with soft and smooth lips in the morning. Will this replace my current holy grail lip balm? Probably not. However I would reach for this on a supermarket shelf as a replacement product, And I would recommend it to anyone looking for an effective lip balm with more natural ingredients.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Moisturising but smelled off I have used the plain scented product so I was excited to try the same product but with a fruit scent. Unfortunately the paw paw smell was not pleasant. It reminded me of a bile smell and it made me cringe everytime I put it on. Luckily the scent disappeared pretty quickly. The product dispersed just the right amount of balm even in the heat - sometimes product can melt and get runny. No problem with too much product here. The balm itself was very moisturising even with the cold Queensland winter winds . It was soothing and kept them in top condition before and after I got my lips tattooed. I had to apply it about 4 times a day and the moisturising effects seemed to last for a few hours at a time. Use before bed and during the day. The product could be improved if it contained an SPF!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from basic product that works, neutral taste/flavour (and I hate pawpaw) This is the second lip balm from Dermal Therapy I have tried, I liked the original but it had a weird bitter taste to it so I binned it. I was nervous to try this one as I absolutely detest the smell and taste of the pawpaw fruit. Thankfully this product has very little scent or taste, it is very very mild and I was easily able to tolerate it. This product comes boxed and inside is a 10gr tube with a slanted applicator so you can apply directly to the lips from the tube or squeeze it on your finger if you prefer that method. It is a soft squeeze tube and is a great size to throw in my handbag or car. It is made in Australia and that is a big bonus for me. The first ingredient is petrolatum, so if you are allergic or don't like using petroleum based products it won't be for you. It also contains 4% fermented pawpaw and papaya seed oil. For me personally, I'm not a big fan of petroleum heavy products and prefer to use lip butters made from shea as it seems to work best for my skin type and personal preference. This product did hydrate the lips and had a realtively neutral taste, just not a personal choice for ingredients for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good basic lip balm Dermal Therapy lip balm with pawpaw comes in a plastic squeezy tube with 10g of product. The applicator is slanted to ensure smooth and easy application. The balm itself is a creamy white colour that applies clear to the lips. It’s decently thick on application so a little goes a long way. I found it easiest to apply to just the upper or lower lip and then rub them together to prevent too much product being used. It has a very slight scent – kind of fruity/fresh but this isn’t discernible once applied. The box it comes in claims visible results in one day and I’d say that’s fairly accurate. My lips felt smoother and softer after just one application and results improved after repeated use. In saying that, my lips were just dry but not to the point of being cracked/chapped so your mileage may vary if you have very dry lips. Overall it’s a very nice lip balm but nothing ground breaking or different to many other products out there.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good lip balm in a handy tube Thank you Beauty Heaven for allowing me to take part in this Trial Team and discover so many different products like this Dermal Therapy Lip Balm Enriched with Pawpaw. This lip balm provides immediate relief to chapped lips upon application. My lips are always dry and sometimes crack, especially during the colder months. When I use the lip balm, my lips feel moist immediately, as if the balm has quenched my lips with nourishment. However, I feel as if the soothing feeling is only temporary and it does not actually penetrate the lips deeper because I wake up with chapped lips still. The condition of my lips have not improved whereas when I use another product (Breeze Balm) my lips feel much softer in the long run. The tube is handy to use with a twist off cap and squeezy tube so you can take it with you wherever you go.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Paw Paw Enriched Lip Balm I recieved a tube of this with my Best In Beauty Box and I am enjoying using it. I found the squeeze tube and nozzle applicator hygenic and easy to use. The lip balm is a clear colour with a light, pleasant paw paw scent. It glides on easily without any stickiness, tackiness or looking really shiny and 'wet'. I do not wear lip balm/lip stick, this was the first in a long time so my lips are a little on the dry side. After application my lips felt moisturised and smoother, although the balm rubs and wears off quite quickly (within 10-20 minutes) so reapplication has to be frequent (which can be annoying) especially if your lips are very chapped/dry. I can't say I have noticed a difference to the overall condition of my lips since using, it feels nice whilst it is on but wears off very fast. I will continue to use the tube but not something I will be purchasing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does everything your everyday lip balm should do I was lucky enough to try this lip balm as part of the trial team, thanks beauty heaven!! I am a serial lip balm user and tend it use it every night before bed and always have to have on in my handbag. I was excited to try this lip balm, it came in a little box and inside a little easy to use tube. The one thing I did notice though was the tip (applicator) just didn’t feel as if it was in the right position when I held the tube. I felt like I needed to twist and rotate it around but couldn’t. As for look and feel it applied nicely to my lips and had a decent result but just not the same effect as my normal brand that I use. Look I didn’t mind it but I wouldn’t go out and buy it again. Not the best, not the worst.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's ok I have chronically dry lips that can become flaky and cracked easily. It is the bane of my life and something I need to stay on top of because once it cracks/bleeds it's a pain to get right again. So because of this I have tried so many different kinds of lip balms, at all different price points. The most important thing to me is that a lip balm is able to soften the skin on my lips, keep it soft and supple and protect it from drying out throughout the day. I often found with most lip balms just leave a thick layer and once that wears off my lips are quite dry still underneath. This lip balm is just ok. It has an ok texture that comes out of a squeezey tube and is a little greasy but not an overly tacky finish. It did an ok job of softening the lips, but not great. I found it wore off quicker than my go to lip balms and despite it feeling like it left some residual filmy layer, it didn't really protect my lips super well, I noticed my lips felt tight sooner compared to other lip balms I use. It's not awful, and it may be good if you don't have severely dry lips but if you do I don't think you'll be impressed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for very chapped lips I am a regular user of the original lip balm and love it. I was excited to get to use this but I never had much luck with paw paw and I assumed if this was mixed it would be fine. Unfortunately for me this didn't work and I still prefer the original one. I felt my lips got drier quickly and I had to keep reapplying whereas with the original lip balm once applied I didn't have to reapply for quite a long time. However I gave it to my sister to use and she loved it. She said it made her lips softer and when she applied lipstick on top of it, the application went on smoothly and her lips stayed supple for a long period. So I guess it varies from person to person. If you ever had any issues with paw paw then this product is not for you, otherwise go ahead and buy it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice feeling but did not lock in moisture for me Thank you Dermal Therapy and BH for letting me trail the Dermal Therapy Lip Balm enriched with PawPaw. The product inside the cardboard box is housed in a soft white squeeze tube with blue and orange detailing and a white screw top lid. The lid screws off to expose an inbuilt applicator with a hole in the middle for dispensing the balm. The product inside appears almost opaque and looks whitish at first but there is no visible colour when it is applied. This lip balm has a faint scent which you can hardly feel and seems natural and does not have a notable taste though there is a hint of flavour when you do happen to lick your lips. This lip balm is smooth and applied easily, and as per the packaging it felt like it was providing protection to my lips. Though the lip balm felt like it provided a layer of protection I actually found this lip balm did not help my lips seal in moisture long term and in fact I found that between applications my lips dried out faster than usual which actually made my lips feel more uncomfortable which is not what I want my lip balm to do. Overall, this is a nice feeling lip balm but I have a feeling that there is an ingredient within this lip balm which my skin did not like. Therefore I am unlikely going to try this variety again. Made in Australia.
