It's soothing on the scalp and moisturising for the hair. As it's PH balanced, I haven't had any issues with it aggravating my sensitive scalp. I even got my mum onto it and she loved it! The smell is lovely and it's a lovely lathering experience.

I really liked that even with a small amount, it created a great lather. It's important to me that the ingredients are natural, and this shampoo has no parabens or sulfates - a big plus. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must admit being a natural product and the brand herbal essences i know i will always get a nice smelling shampoo. Knowing that no animals were hurt in the process is a plus! I have to admit the conditioner wasnt that great but boy this shampoo was excellent! It left my hair feeling squeaky clean! It lathered up well and feeling the eucalyptus on the scalp made my head feel fresh! Overall i would definitely recommend this shampoo! But just know that paired with the conditioner it leaves your hair abit frizzy if you have curly/wavy hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smells really nice, I loved the strong eucalyptus smell (so if you don't like the smell of eucalyptus then I wouldn't recommend this to you), it really helps you wake up in the morning. My scalp has been a little itchy lately, I can't say this product helped improve the itchiness too much but it hasn't made it worse. Using the Shampoo with the conditioner has helped tame a little bit of my frizz. I would definitely be purchasing again !!

I normally have to wash my hair every 2 days, however with this shampoo I have been able to extend this out to every 3 days, heaven! This shampoo lathers up quickly and left my hair feeling squeaky clean. Once styled my hair felt light and bouncy like i'd just left the salon.

So fresh, and beautiful, it was really refreshing. I love that this is a natural sulfate-free product and doesn’t have silicones, parabens or colourants! I was a bit nervous that it said ‘potent aloe + eucalyptus’, because I was expecting to smell an insane aloe and eucalyptus smell, but its actually really soft and beautiful. The product lathers really well and made my hair feel clean and soft. I also really enjoy the green colour of the packaging and makes me feel extra fresh. A little definitely goes a long way. Highly recommend.

It's pretty amazing that Royal Botanic Gardens has teamed up with Herbal Essences to get this 90% natural origin product to us! Straight away I noticed the fantastic smell, it's like aloe mixed with green apple for me. Absolutely love it! It isn't too strong, just that perfect amount. If comes out of the bottle nicely, just a gentle squeeze, and is great to apply, foams up lots and you really get a sense of cleaning your hair while using it. I'm still early on in using it, but I loved the way my hair felt when it was dry and I found that the fragrance didn't stay, only when I washed, which isn't a bad thing! Really enjoying using this shampoo, love that it is safe for coloured hair, which I have, and they are also cruelty free - something important to me. If you're looking for a bottle full of goodness, this is it!

I usually find that sulfate-free shampoos don't lather well unless you use heaps of product. It's free from sulphates however there is a minty-tingle to the shampoo which might not be for everyone. I found it refreshing, it's not overwhelming but it is noticeable. The scent was also enjoyable its more of a fresh fragrance which lingers but isn't too noticeable once your hair is dry.

Amazingly it is both gentle yet cleansing for my scalp and has cleared up any dry skin and dandruff breakouts I get in between my usual four day wash cycle. I have dry and coloured hair so I try to wash my hair only twice a week and use dry shampoo in between to try and extend time between washes. This usually means by the third day my scalp is pretty overloaded. Using this shampoo, I've seen such a massive difference in the health of my scalp and also oil production. I think that the aloe and eucalyptus in the product really do help. Love the smell of the shampoo as well, it stays in my hair for days and I love it!

With this my scalp has never looked or felt better. I have very curly frizzy hair and this shampoo combined with the same conditioner has worked it's magic. You only need a very small amount and it goes such a long way.

The Scent of this shampoo is very strong so if you're not a fan of a 'potent' aroma this is not the product for you. The shampoo is very easy to use, lathers up quickly and I only need a small amount to get a lather going in my scalp area. It does say its for dry hair but on its own it did feel like it was stripping more moisture than I would like. After just using for a couple of washes in conjunction with the conditioner its probably best suited to normal hair.

I couldn’t believe when I first got this shampoo that it is cruelty free and no nasty chemicals in there and it’s colour safe for the colour treated hair. First thing I noticed is the beautiful scent, I noticed I only had to use a very small amount of shampoo to my thick hair which is very unusual. It instantly felt as its doing something to my scalp, I could feel the tingling fresh sensation of menthol in my scalp and my hair and scalp felt really clean. After using this shampoo my hair felt really soft , bouncy and shiny. Overall its a great shampoo and will definitely be buying it again.

It is self explanatory to use, and a little goes a long way to leaving my hair feeling smooth and nourished! Herbal Essence’s Potent Aloe and Eucalyptus Shampoo is gentle on the scalp. I know this because I have a scalp that gets dry and irritated at the drop of a hat, so this was such a soothing and refreshing relief for my head! One thing that let this product down for me was the scent - unfortunately I wasn’t a fan! I probably won’t be purchasing this product in the future, as I prefer Herbal Essence’s Argan Oil of Morrocco Shampoo. In saying that though, I would still recommend it to my family and friends as it is a wonderful shampoo!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have pretty straight, thick hair that largely takes care of itself but can be a little prone to feeling coarse and/or a tad frizzy if I don't have the right shampoo/conditioner combo to keep it extra silky. Most of my main issues come from dandruff and an itchy scalp, as well as one that can grease up pretty quickly between washes - so that's particularly annoying to deal with. I loved the texture and the scent of this shampoo – it’s more of a thick, heavy gel, almost a jelly, with a more aloe-forward scent than a eucalyptus one, but I was expecting it to have more of a cooling, soothing sensation for my often itchy scalp. It might just be because it’s a very gentle shampoo, but if you’re also looking for that soothing sensation, just be aware that it doesn’t feel particularly different to any other standard shampoo on that front. I personally found that this formulation – while environmentally a preferable choice, just didn’t feel like it ‘cleaned’ my hair enough. After washing, even with shampoo, my hair still felt slightly… sticky? Tangly? Like a very matte kind of stickiness that you sometimes get when you only rinse with water. Maybe it’s part of the adjustment process, but I’m not usually prone to getting results like this with my haircare and wasn’t particularly thrilled with that result. With that said, if you’re willing to ride out the adjustment period – or just have hair that’s less likely to grease up, then this might be a good low-poo or transitional shampoo, especially if you’re moving to something more natural like the curly girl method. Perfectly fine shampoo for the right user, but just not something that I can see myself using long term – especially when the paired conditioner isn’t silicone free? Reviewed as part of ReviewCrew. It gives a great clean however I would recommend a hydrating shampoo afterwards for best results.

I have blonde colour treated hair that is dry and I noticed after using my hair was soft and sleek and did strip out my colour. Used with the conditioner my hair was soft and bouncier and less frizzy that it normally is.
