The formula does make the lips a bit dry on me, but so many lip products, particularly long lasting bold colours or mattes, do. The oddly shaped bullet makes application easy and less messy. A very well done matte formula. The colour was actually very similar to the marketed colour on the packaging. I found the packaging to be solid for drugstore products.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from gorgeous matte lipstick [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved this lipstick. It applied very smoothly to my lips and was super to apply. The colour is super pigmented, velvety and hydrating for a matte lipstick. Unlike some other matte lipsticks, I didn't find it to be drying on the lips nor left my lips dry. I did notice that I had to re-apply a few times throughout the day but besides that, I really enjoyed this lipstick and will definitely wear again in future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bold Long Lasting Colour [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy-to-use brilliant smooth texture reminds me of a whipped face primer, my lips felt exeptionally soft, the smaller teardrop shape tip ensured Flawless application every time, even on the run going by feel without the mirror you can't go wrong. I was not a fan of the colour crimson desire it was just too dark for my fair skin tone. I definitely recommend this product to anyone and everyone looking for a good long lasting lipstick that actually feels soft and subtle not leaving your lips peeling dry and flaky.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hydration plus [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very happy with this Lipstick, I have been wearing ‘Long lasting’ lipstick for years now and whilst they all have the staying power, they lack in hydration. This however is a beautiful creamy lipstick, I love the shape as along with the lip liner it was very easy to apply. Whilst not necessarily having the staying power of other long lasting lipsticks it certainly hydrates the lips beautifully. I would probably be more inclined to wear this during the day rather than on a night out. I would highly recommend if you want hydration as well as something that will last 2-3 hours ! I was very impressed.

Firstly I did not get that dry sensation that can happen with matte lipsticks when they suck the moisture out of your lips. The packaging is nice as is the size and shape of the lipstick for application. The lipstick was not the mattest matte and I prefer that. It had a more natural finish. It looked nice and lasted well. I'd love to try this in other colours too. Would recommend.

Chestnut Rose. I would never select this colour normally but so glad this is the colour I reviewed. It is a lovely colour for day or evening. Unlike other long lasting lipsticks this did apply easily and felt quite creamy. Unfortunately, it did dry out within about 10 minutes. It did last for around two hours. While it did dry my lips out after application it doesn't seem to have done long term damage which other lasting lipsticks have done. I do love the curved lipstick as it makes application so much easier. Would I purchase more of this product , yes I would and look forward to trying new colours.

Long lasting for a bullet lipstick, lipliner is a shade darker than the accompanying lippy, good for ombre or 90's party? It is lightly scented but not overpowering.

I really liked this lipstick as I found it didn't dry out my lips like other lipsticks I have tried, and it lasted a few hours before I had to reply it. I also really like the colour I received and found the lip liner made it easier for me to apply the lipstick error free. I would definitely repurchase this product and the matching lip liner, and will recommend it to my friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lipstick for me has always been only for special occasions and going out, but this Lippy may be changing my opinion. I got the colour Mauve Bliss which is the perfect nude pink that glides on easily for a novice like me with the tear drop shape. The colour is buildable and not drying which was a pleasant surprise being a Matte finish. As an alternative to the Matte finish I also tried this lippy with a glossy lanolin on top which I also loved for a more sheer colour look. The colour didn't transfer too much when eating or drinking but definitely needed touching up afterwards and throughout the day. With its slim packaging this was easy enough as it fits neatly into even a small purse.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic Everyday Matte Lippe [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As part of the review crew, I received the colour 220 Mauve bliss in the Lasting Finish Matte lipstick and 215 Ms. Mauve lasting finish lip liner. I was happily surprised by how much I have enjoyed this lipstick and lip liner. Both apply easily and do not drag on the lip, making them a lot more forgiving on dry lips than a traditional matte finish lipstick. The colour is opaque on one swipe but easy to fix if you draw out of the lip line. The lipstick feels weightless on the lips and does not feel drying. The shape of the bullet is one of my favourites, a curved, rounded tip teardrop. Great for fast application. The packaging gets a big thumbs up as well; sleek black plastic tube with a ring of the lipstick colour near the base. Great closure which will never open in your bag. The only con for me is the fragrance, however, it doesn't linger for long and I do not taste it. Additionally, I would add that if you are going to purchase the lipsticks online that you look up swatches for the lipsticks true colour, as the name, at least for the one I tried seemed a little deceiving. I wouldn't considered Mauve bliss a mauve at all, but more of a lighter pink berry tone and the lip liner 215 Ms Mauve a true berry tone, about one shade deeper than the lipstick.

I found the feel of the lipstick to feel a little more like a lip balm which was actually nice because I don't like a super thick feeling lipstick that feels like it is pulling your lips around when applying. I did have to re-apply a few times throughout the day though so I'm not sure I would say it is a long lasting product. I have the perfect nude colour, it's a lovely colour and I would buy it again, however, it's not what I would personally classify as nude as it's more of a mauve.

Provides moisture-enhancing, comfortable wear. Imparts a hint of a satiny shine for more supple-looking lips. Comes in a variety of attractive pink, red, and berry tones The matte finish helps this lipstick resist feathering/bleeding into lines around the mouth, which is a major plus for anyone prone to that issue. That said, it’s not totally budge proof—the matte finish tends to transfer onto to whatever your lips come in contact with (coffee mug, etc.). All thing considered, this is one of the better fragrance-free, matte lipsticks you’ll find

Loved the colour of the lipstick. Very easy shade to wear for everyday (I am white medium/ fair skinned/ dark hair) The liner was a little too dark to wear with the lipstick I felt though - bit of a 90's vibe going on that I didn't like. I was impressed with the texture and sticking power of both products though. Still visible after coffee/ water and a pilates class. I always worry that matt lipsticks will make my lips look and feel dry ( especially in Winter months) but it felt like using a balm and didn't make my lips feel or look cracked. I would buy this shade again and would like to try other colours too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good simple matte lipstick [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great lipstick! The red colour I am using is 520. First of all, I’d like to talk about the curve they shaped the lipstick is clever, but I think it is for people with thicker lip than me. The curve is good but it colours my inside lip as well because my lip doesn’t suit the curve. The lipstick is very soft and feels like butter. It has a strong matte colour but adjustable and doesn’t dry out your lip. You can dab it on your lips if u want softer colour. Lastly, in terms of the lasting in the name of the lipstick, I think it is long lasting but you may need to reapply if you eat any soup or soup noodle type food. I still highly recommend this lipstick!

The colour is bold and full of moisture. The matching lip liner blended in well to ensure the lipstick didn’t bleed. It’s a good price for a matte lipstick but unfortunately not long lasting. If you don’t mind topping up your lippy throughout the day I would recommend this product due to the high moisture in the product.

I preferred applying the lipstick as a tint and blending with my fingers rather than straight from the bullet, which provided more payoff but I found it a little drying and amplified the texture of my lips a lot more. Wearing it as a tint gave a more natural and moisterising finish. I do rate the colour but I noticed it made my teeth appear a tad yellow with my yellow skin undertone. While the colour didn't exactly work for me, I would definitely sheer it out and wear as a tint for myself.

The colour applied quite patchy and inconsistent requiring a couple of layers to hide the patches. It wore quite well however didn't last a significant amount of time. Dried ok bit definitely required a few touch ups through out the day. Not a favourite unfortunately since I really loved the colour.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great deep red matte finish [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this lipstick in the Crimson Desire colour. It's a great strong but deep red which was a really lovely colour. The shape of the lipstick is really interesting and different to what I'm used to, mind you I've not worn any lipstick in a month or two, but it was easy to use. Applying the lipstick was easy and it went on smoothly and with fairly good coverage, I did find it a little patchy on the first coat on my bottom lip but with a couple of coats it gave a really good matte finish. Being a matte finish it does make your lips feel a little dry but it's definitely not as drying as some of the other mattes I've tried. The pigment lasted really well too, even after eating or drinking, without smudging or smearing. It stays really well within the lines even without a liner. I tried it without other makeup on and it gave that pop of colour that works really well in winter when everything is a little blah. There is an almost cherry scent to the lipstick which I remember from previous Rimmel lipsticks I've had which is kind of fun, plus it's in great packaging and a good price point. If you love a matte finish this is a really good one to try.

The colour was bold and strong and the lipstick gave great coverage. The texture was creamy and didn't dry my lips out. Unfortunately l didn't find that it had very good staying power as it came off easily if I ate or drank whilst wearing it. However for the price point I would consider purchasing it as part of my makeup collection.

I liked the shape of the lipstick itself, made it very easy to apply accurately on the different areas of my lips. Texture was nice and creamy. However I’ve found that from a pigment point of view I wasn’t as satisfied as with other matte lipsticks. The colour I’ve tried was crimson desire (dark red) so I’m wondering if I would have felt the same on a nude colour instead..

The colour was cool (the perfect combination of on trend and classic), has matching lip liners available, semi matte finish that didn’t come off easily while eating hot pot - check, check, check! However for someone with slightly drier lips consistently, I found on application that the liner and lipstick “stuck” with heavier application in some areas than others. This required a little bit of effort to smooth out the colour difference across my lips as the lipstick was darker in colour. As a lipstick lover, I also found the curved lipstick design a bit tricky to come to terms with. I know they are trying to mimic the curved shape of the lip to assist application, but in reality I found that it just meant getting that precision edging was tricky as I kept moving the lipstick out of my lip line. Perhaps for rookie lipstick users this would be prefect! But for me personally I prefer the traditional lipstick shape as I’m much more familiar with how to achieve that sharper edge I prefer.

Loved the tear drop shape for easy application. The texture was light and smooth. It was long lasting but a little dry on my lips without a lip balm underneath. Good value at this price point.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Uneven Pigment I bought this today and found that the pigment doesn't apply evenly across the lip. This cannot be rectified by rubbing lips together, which is my usual technique. This makes the lipstick look quick tacky. It does, however, have good staying power.

The colour didn't apply evenly and no matter how I tried to apply (normally, with a lip brush, even using my finger) it made zero difference. I wear lipstick daily and honestly, this application issue usually only happens with extremely cheap lipstick. The colour would have been amazing if it had been able to be applied evenly. Unfortunately, I would not recommend.
