It made breast feeding easier fort me and the shields were worth it because they last and they were comfortable as well. You won’t go wrong with these shield and should definitely give it a go for yourself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally was able to latch using these [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Due to some complications with jaundice and having to express and bottle feed my son in his first week, we were really struggling to latch. My midwife suggested these as it would feel a bit like a bottle in bubs mouth. She called it a 'non slip mat' for baby! Lo and behold, it worked and we breastfed for the first time! I bought two packets thinking I would be using these for the next year, but eventually we achieved a good latch even without them. So don't go overboard, just buy one pack! I gifted the other to a friend. I also like that it comes with a little carry case so you can always have it with you without it getting crumby or grubby.

I was adamant I wanted to continue despite having extremely sore nipples from a poor latch, the lactation consultant in the hospital provided me with the Medela breast shield in a size 24 and it instantly made a huge difference to my pain levels and my babies latch. The material is flexible and easy to apply to the breast/nipple. I loved the storage container so I could keep tabs on the shield at all times, this was a huge factor in the success of my breast feeding and without it I would have definitely not continued for over 12 months.

When we returned home we tried a few other brands but quickly returned to these. They fit well, washed well and were a great shape for bub. The case they come with was very annoying but we simply threw this bit out.
