Deficiencies can result in many illnesses and we dont always get our daily quota. Especially with all the colds, flus and viruses around. 2000mg is a great dose every day as this vitamin does not store in the body. So if you don't get your quota one day you can't make it up. Just what we need to fight those sniffles etc. Tablets are better than chewables as those are not good for your teeth
