Winged Eyeliner Hack!

1. Start with a clean eye area.

2. Apply tape at the outer corner of your eye angled towards your temple.

3. Begin drawing the line from inner corner to outer corner. Use the tape like a ruler and draw the line along the edge of the tape - don't worry if it bleeds onto the tape since it will be removed.

4. Slowly remove the tape to reveal your precise wing. Finish with your favorite Maybelline mascara.

Usually I am scared when working with winged eyeliner (as I usually end up having to rub it off and redo it a few times due to uncoordination), however this tip is so fine which makes it so easy to apply. Doesn’t smudge easily and lasts hours! Definitely will be repurchasing.

I am an incredibly sweaty person and it is so hard to find an eyeliner that stays on until I clean it off (I constantly have panda eyes) but this product stood the test of a hot day! I even went swimming and it stayed on. Would definitely recommend (especially if you sweat of your eyeliner like I do!)

This liner is great for if you want a simple line or more extreme winged look. Removal is as you would expect, recommend an oil based product to get all traces off. Highly recommend, gotta love the price too!

You can defiantly master the winged eye flick. The colour is very dark black which is nice as it stands out well. It’s a long lasting liner and great for a night out.

Application is also quite easy with the pen tip, although it takes a couple of goes to perfect the end of the wing if you’re aiming for a very thin end but it’s definitely achievable and precise as the name suggests! Removing the eyeliner is also much easier than some others and doesn’t require vigorous rubbing (and irritating) of the eyes. This eyeliner is an absolute dream, I’ll definitely be reaching for it all the time! \n

The fine line tip makes for an easy application giving you the perfect wing, the pigment is strong and bold which looks incredible when applying, I compared this product to my prior favourite Kat Von D eyeliner and this is just as good if not better for half the price. If definitely recommend this product it’s a must have in your makeup bag!

I am always worried that liners like this will dry out, so heres hoping it will last without drying out. Good product for the offered price.

The pointy tip makes it easy to get the perfect line from your iris out to a beautiful wing. It’s inky enough that you don’t have to go over it a few times, once will do. And it’s cheap!

It comes in a neat black Tube with a pull off lid - easy!\nThe brush is outstanding - firm, thin, slightly flexible and incredibly fine. There is no chemical scent and even though I have sensitive eyes there was no irritation either.\nI love eyeliner but have always struggled to get the teeny tiny perfectly thin line I longed for till I tried this baby.\nI Love love love the ease that I can apply this liner, its not a super dark black ,but I find its not such a harsh look on me either and is more forgiving when touching up - which I do if heading out straight from work.\nI recommend this eyeliner for all age groups and perfect to practice those flicked wings with.\n

Rated 5 out of 5 by Natasha G from I first found this liner when I was new to liquid liners about 4 or 5 years ago… and I haven't used another since! \n\nThis liner comes in a pen-like applicator, with a very fine (0.05mm) point – so it is very easy to apply. Simply take the lid of and line along your lash line. It easily produces a natural looking thin line, but you can also continue to build it up to make it look very dramatic. \n\nI find that it lasts all day and doesn't smudge. I use it for my everyday wear at work, and also when I go out on weekends. \n\nThe only downside I can pinpoint for this product is that when the pen starts to run out it won't come out in the dense black colour it first does. However, the product is so reasonably priced that you can afford to purchase another when this starts to happen!\n\nI would definitely recommend this product for beginners wanting to try liquid liners, but also the more experienced as it’s a great all round product!\n\nPros:\n- Very easy to apply\n- Easy to produce a thin line\n- Can build up for a more dramatic look\n- Reasonably priced\n- Available at most pharmacies\n\nCons\n- I find I need to buy a new pen every few months (but this may be because I use it so often!)\n\n

But when I used it I found it to be perfect! Because the tip is so thin, you can create a super thin top eyeliner with it and wing, but it's also easy to thicken it up. Until I used this eyeliner, I hated wings. I thought they didn't suit my eyes and I looked silly with it. Until now. I went for a wing for review purposes, but I LOVE winged eyeliner now! I guess I've been using the wrong eyeliner haha.\nThe colour is super black and pigmented and I didn't notice it to have any strong scent. I didn't notice a scent at all which is great. With a how-to of creating your very own unique designon your face from magazines, to the Maybelline website, this liner just has it all. I still get super excited when I create with Master Precise. From the moment I start my line (gets in nice and close to the lash line)to the final result, I am always thrilled by the ease, the intensity, the precision of the ultra-fine brush and the creativity just flows, you can create anything. Impressive – oh yes! I am always creating “something different” on a daily basis, whether it’s simple or dramatic. I love the compliments I get for my face “tattoo” and I think Maybelline would be so proud of me plugging their awesome liner. I seriously feel that in all of my years in the beauty industry I have never come across a more perfect liquid eyeliner, ever. From the moment you apply (the liner wears perfectly all day, no fading whatsoever, is water-proof,smudge-proof, doesn’t stain, is safe on sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers) to the moment you remove (wipes off with absolute ease) Maybelline have covered everything. You don’t have to be and artist to use this either, the ink is continuous, flows effortlessly and perfect every time. When I need a new liquid liner I repurchase this every time. The most perfect liquid liner… precisely!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jo H. from A solid liquid eye liner at a reasonable price. This liquid eye liner comes in a handy pen format which makes it easy to hold and maneuver around the face and eye area. This liner comes with a fine tip which allows for precision when creating a winged eye liner look. This also means that for the body of the line it can take a bit of work to get the desired thickness. The pigment in the liner is pretty good, however it can fade throughout the course of the day and I also found that I needed to go over my liner a couple of times to create the desired definition and pigment. The liner did transfer slightly to other parts of my lid when initially drying, however I do have hooded lids and find this is quite common for me with most eye make-up. The product was non-irritating and didn't irritate my sensitive eyes.

It can be a little tough to get off but that only means it stays on longer. \nThe eyeliner is the perfect length and doesn’t get in the way of anything else, it’s thin and light weight, how it should be. \n

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jing F. from I'm always on the lookout for a budget-friendly liquid eyeliner, so I was very eager to try Maybelline's New York Eye Studio Master Precise Liquid Liner. The liner is SUPER pigmented, which is great, and the tip is VERY fine, making it easy to get that lovely wing shape! My lids can get quite oily so I did find that unless I used primer, there was some slight smudginess that occurred after several hours - no problems with the primer though! My only pet peeve with this product however is that the tip can be slightly scratchy, which made it a little uncomfortable to use - this might just be me being a bit sensitive though! Overall, a lovely product - would recommend!

It was easy to apply, and even easy to do a wing. It was also very long lasting. I would definitely recommend this! And it's great that it is so affordable because you can afford to buy a new one when it starts drying out.\n

I used to wear eyeliner everyday and found it hard to find one that lasted all day without smudging and can honestly say this eye liner does not budge at all. It is very pigmented and glides on smoothly which is exactly what you need for an eyeliner. The tip is very easy to use as well which helped to perfect a great wing! Definitely recommend this eyeliner for those who have been used to using liquid eyeliners for quite some time
