MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

General Information
Remifemin° Plus St Johns Wort is formulated for women with stronger symptoms of menopause and/or mood related symptoms arising out of menopause fluctuations. Along with an increased amount of Actaea racemosa to target heat and sweating, St. John's Wort has been added to assist psychovegetative symptoms such as nervous tension and agitation. It is recommended for women in the early stages of menopause when symptoms can be more intense or at any stage of menopause when more support is desired.
Warnings

Not suitable for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Do not use the product if the blister foil is broken.

Each film-coated tablet contains: Native dry extract concentrate (DER 6-11 :1) from Actaea racemose rhizome 3.75 mg, equivalent Actaea racemose (Dry) 31.9 mg, extraction solvent isopropyl alcohol 40% (V/V), concentration ratio 8.5:1, plus native dry extract concentrate (DER 3.5-6 :1) from Hypericum perforatum herb 71 .5 mg, equivalent Hypericum perforatum (Dry) 343.2 mg, extraction solvent ethanol 60% (V/V), concentration ratio 4.8:1.
Directions
One film-coaled tablet twice daily, or if necessary two film-coated tablets twice a day-with or without food.

This works for me!
I found all round benefits within a couple of weeks, mainly with reduced/ sometimes no hot flushes and better mood. After 6 months, I stopped using to trial another herbal brand without black cohosh in it. Remifemin Plus is definitely the better choice; the included black cohosh seems to be the best thing for my hot flushes so I personally highly recommend this product. My doctor says it is fine to use and monitors my blood results every 6 - 12 months. To help with my sleep, I combine with Remifemin Sleep.

Success at last!!
As I have been hot flushing for 25 years because HRT was not adviseable I decided to try Remifemin Plus after it was recommended my an associate. I have been taking two morning and evening for three weeks and the hot flushes have decreased from several a day to one or two. Hallelujah!!
