MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

Colgate Advanced Whitening Tartar Control is a whitening toothpaste with MicroCleansing Crystals clinically proven to gently polish and effectively whiten your teeth. It fights plaque and cavities to ensure your teeth stay as healthy and strong as they are white.
Tartar is a yellow mineral buildup that can dull the natural whiteness of your teeth. The fluoride formula contains ingredients to help prevent tartar from sticking to your teeth and effectively whiten your teeth, lifting off stains to give you whiter teeth in 14 days.
While our teeth are not, by nature, perfectly white, most people feel that they could improve their smile with brighter, whiter teeth. Over time, teeth acquire surface stains as a result of eating and drinking certain foods and beverages. They also naturally discolour with age, as a result of acquiring pigmentation inside the teeth. Directions
Brush thoroughly at least twice a day or as directed by your dental professional. Do not swallow. Rinse with a small amount of water.

Visibly whiter teeth
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent tooth paste. You can often get it half price which means great value for money and very affordable. This paste gives a great clean and makes my teeth much whiter. I drink a bit of tea and coffee which tends to stain my teeth. This leaves them white and shiny like I’ve had a professional clean.
