How to take charge with Rhinocort?

1. Clear

Gently blow nose to clear nostrils. Shake the bottle well and remove protective cap. If first time use or after a period of non-use, prime the spray by spraying several pumps into the air.

2. Tilt

Tilt head slightly forward and gently insert nozzle tip into nostril. Aim nozzle away from middle of nose (septum) and direct into nasal passage, towards the back of nose.

3. Spray

To spray, press down firmly on the nozzle whilst gently breathing in through the nose. Repeat to required dose. Avoid sniffing hard during or after spraying.

4. Repeat

Repeat steps 3-4 in the other nostril. Remember to wipe the tip clean with a tissue before recapping and store upright.

What is an Intranasal corticosteroid (INCS)?

An INCS is an anti-inflammatory medication used to treat hayfever and allergy symptoms.

How often do I need to use Rhinocort?

As with all INCS sprays, daily use is recommended for optimal symptom control. Do not use more than 6 months without advice of your doctor.

How long will it take for Rhinocort to relieve my symptoms?

Allow 2-3 days to achieve the full effect of Rhinocort. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use.

When can I reduce the dose of Rhinocort?

Once your symptoms are under control, you can switch to Rhinocort? Original Strength as it offers a lower dose. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice on dosing.

Rhinocort Original Hayfever & Allergy Non-Drowsy Nasal Spray helps to prevent and relieve sneezing, blocked, runny or itchy nose caused by hayfever and year round allergies. Apply four sprays into each nostril daily either all in the morning or two sprays into each nostril in the morning and evening.

Rhinocort Original Hayfever & Allergy Non-Drowsy Nasal Spray prevents and provides relief from frustrating hayfever and allergy symptoms which typically include sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, and an itchy, runny or blocked nose. This pack comes with one 120 spray bottle of Rhinocort Original Hayfever & Allergy Non-Drowsy Nasal Spray.

I don't think I had a good night's sleep in 15+ years due to my allergies - every night would be a struggle with my nose getting so blocked and runny that I would need to lay on my back and breathe through my mouth. FINALLY I have found a nasal spray that does not irritate my nose (like all others), and I have been able to sleep through the night without waking up even once for the first time in ages. A friend insisted I tried this and it's amazing. Not only does it do wonders to my hayfever symptoms but I can't even feel the solution going up my nose. I just feels like a puff of air sometimes I wonder if any of it came out but I know it has because I no longer sneeze during hayfever season. Love this stuff!

I've used Rhinocort for many years now and it's still effective. Give it a couple of days to work, though, and keep taking it. It's not like a tablet you take only when you have symptoms - it's to use right through the season (which for most people means up to the end of December.)
