General Information

John Frieda Violet Crush Purple Toning Mask kisses brassiness goodbye in as little as one wash. The advanced, extra-strength formula cleanses while quickly neutralizing brassy tones for fresh and brighter hair. Crushed violet pigments absorb UV light and make colour-treated or highlighted blonde hair appear cooler and brighter in as little as one use.

Warnings

CAUTION: This product contains ingredients, which may cause skin irritation on certain individuals and a preliminary test according to accompanying directions should first be made. This product must not be used for dyeing the eyelashes or eyebrows; to do so may cause blindness. Do not apply to a sensitive, irritated or damaged scalp. Discontinue use if rash or irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children. For external use on scalp hair only. Avoid contact with fabrics & household surfaces to prevent staining. If contact occurs, clean immediately.
TO PERFORM A PATCH TEST: 48 hours prior to use, clean a small area of skin behind the ear or on the inner surface of the forearm with soap and water or alcohol, apply a small quantity of the product to the area and allow to dry. After 24 hours, wash the area with soap and water. If the area has no irritation or inflammation, sensitivity to the product is unlikely.

Violet Crush Purple Toning Mask knocks out damage and brassy tones fast. For a cooler, more luminous, salon-fresh blonde.

Directions

After shampooing with Violet Crush Purple Shampoo, generously apply the Purple Toning Mask evenly through wet hair and comb through. Leave on 1-3 minutes, and not more than 5 minutes, rinse well. Wash hands immediately. Use weekly or as needed until desired toning results are achieved.

The smell alone would make me want to buy it over and over again. I’m actually upset that I only have to use this once a week because it is so good that I want to use it everyday just for the delicious smell it has!! I leave the mask on my hair for 3 minutes after I’ve brushed it all through and then thoroughly wash it out and you can honestly see the difference in colour and how well it takes away that orange brassy tone. Doing that once a week is all you need to keep that gorgeous blonde colour without the brassy extra tones through it. If I could only buy one product to keep my hair nice, it would be this one. 10/10!!

For an inexpensive shampoo, I was surprised at how well it works! It takes the brassy tones right out. Works well on grey hair too! I found the shampoo more effective than the mask.

I was gifted a bottle of John Frieda Intense Purple Shampoo and Purple Toning Mask to review. On the shampoo bottle, it says "For best results, follow with John Frieda Purple Conditioner" which I was not gifted, so I have not used the product entirely as intended. I found both products to be wonderfully fragrant and very visually appealing in colour, and was surprised how effective they were at toning blonded hair. I will definitely consider them for my future purple shampoo needs and will recommend them to others.
